I love all the attention to every fine detail. Learning a lot watching you bro. This is your best build so far. It was hard choosing but this has so many components, it's off the chain!!
Hey man, I'll watch pretty much anything you put out as you always have good quality. I would definitely want some detailed painting content dude. Be a great series showing all your experience
I have sponge painted on my brown reddish brown layer (rust layer). Then when sprayed primer then color over it. Then when I sanded through it cut cool lines where the sponge mound and smears were. You get hard lines that make sense like blisters and bubbling. But also get the worn away look that is a smooth transition to the color. On the same job I did my rust color on the hood and then painted the edges of the hood and the middle peak solid but dusted the flat areas of the hood where they normally wear. That way I didn’t have to sand long in this areas. And the modeling of the spray added that realism of a painted car wearing ways layers differently. Hope this help. Do all your tricks plus some and it will be cool! Love the channel man
Could love to see like 6 different layers of paint sanded through giving the impression that the truck has been repainted several times. Love it when you sand a car a see the history through the different colors
I low key thought you was gonna do a whole color but the patina sounds great you gonna knock it out with this one I kn it 😏👌🏽 #bodesqaud #projectshoptruck
Yes! Whats the way.....I can already see it.... going to be great! About doing more "how to do"- maybe - Bodevision have to create one more canal....or really separerat the videos.... anyway for me do what you doing! Good job!
As someone that has painted some body panels I'd like to see a how and why on the correct way to do it. I paint a hood and bumper and they came out good but could be better. A quick explanation on the cheapest way, the best way, and somewhere in between on what gets used and the process. My hood was previously painted so I just sanded down (not to metal) and laid shaker can primer, then 2 coats of color and 2 or 3 coats of clear with a spray gun. My bumper was the same except it was never paint and a black plastic type bumper material. But sealers and gel primers... What's it's for for and when should I use it? I want to respray the whole car but it's already been 2 different colors and needs a bit of body work. Thankfully not rusty through!
Looking good Adam, you are doing exactly what I had in mind but the difference is that you can do it where I can't I wouldn't know where to start on a paint job like this but it's pretty much what I had in mind for the Truck so I'm looking forward to seeing how you do it🤔🤷♂😂John UK
I’m really digging this build! It’s gunna ride fantastic and look amazing! What are the plans for wheels? Some big Detroit steels would look appropriate work truck i think
Bro, why don’t you look up pictures of rusted up Ford trucks, with patina… the body lines almost always cause the patina to look real and always in the same areas, know what I mean? I love the build man, any way it goes, I know it will be sick! 🤘
I was excited to see a nice gloss black paint job and was thinking to myself "great, he didn't do one of those crappy patina paint jobs", But im wrong :(
Hi were gonna need you to stop sleeping or having any other type of life. We're all addicted to the content and want more! Thanks in advance for your cooperation in this matter. Sincerely Your Fans
I would have just stretched the chassis which would have allowed you to reinforce it while making the truck look dimensionally correct. As it sits the wheel base just looks too short for the bed. Also, whenever one of those bed doors inevitably comes open while driving you're going to have temporary bat doors before they rip off and everything inside litters the road, and any cars unlucky enough to be driving behind, or oncoming. Their is a reason they had them opening the other way.
Thanks for the unsolicited expertise! I was just thinking, 'Who could possibly know more about my project than I do?' Oh right, a random UA-cam commenter. Got it.
@@BodeVision Unsolicited you say? "like this video, let me think know what you think about everything down below, see ya." That quote is from you at the end of the video correct? Unless I somehow subscribed to a strange audio dubbed version of your UA-cam channel.?.? Look I like your channel, been watching since before you painted Taylor Ray's miata, but don't solicit comments, then get all butthurt in your feelings because someone does just that. I'm an engineer, and structural integrity and visual conformity is something I always notice in every build, I've seen some UA-camrs build some sketchy shit. Being a random UA-cam commenter doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about anymore than being a random UA-camr means you know what you're doing, or that you're immune from criticism. At the end of the day it's your truck and you driving it so, do as you wish, but if you ask for comments don't be surprised if they don't always align with how you feel. If you just want someone to masturbate your ego a public forum is probably not the best move, but hey, you do you boo. I'm still not hating on you though, I enjoy the content. Keep putting out the videos and I'll keep watching them.
It's hard to come up with a custom paint design that hasn't been done already... I guess we are at the breaking point... I was hoping you would do a patina job on it.
@@BodeVision Didn't know I was being "trendy"(LOL) especially when I wrote IMHO, I thought I was being honest. Never liked the fake patina, don't care much for the real patina either but is WAY more tolerable because doing a nice paint job is a lot of hard work and is expensive even for DIYers. If all the work put into doing fake patina was put into doing a driver quality paint job it probably would be less work and look way better. But like I wrote, it's yours so it's dealers choice what you do with it.(no offense intended just voicing an old guy's opinion)
I AM GIVING THIS TRUCK AWAY:

Adam you're killing this one!
You finally said patina paint. That's what I've been waiting for because you have alluded to it. That's the only job for this build lovin it.
Your vision is key... love how you build for you, that's what makes your stuff special
Slam Box is looking SO great! You know you're gonna have fun with that truck cuz you're already having fun just building it.
Love the Slambox bro!! Looking foward to seeing how the Patina turns out!!!

This is absolutely the baddest build going on right now! Nice work, man!
This is you creation. My opinion, the truck looks sick already. Good Job! 💪

Everyone needs to give it a thumbs up and help this man’s algorithm. He deserves every bit of it.
Amazing work. I can't wait to see what's next!
Great job up to this point. I like it, although I'm addicted to T'angelo orange, hahahaha. Have a great one. Regards Nico.
Looking amazing… Sorry for my language you are a bad ass welder car and truck fabricator, builder, painter
AWESOME BUILD DUDE !!! , Wish it was Mine !!!

Cool, had no idea you were in central Florida! I live in Kissimmee! We did get lucky with the hurricane. Awesome progress on the truck!
U should start another channel where u go in depth with all that cool stuff u do

Awesome build

Nice!...can't wait to see the "artsy-fartsy" paint job!....
I think u should do a military utility truck. Make it look like a old rusty military truck.

I kinda liked the natural patina it had before you primed it lol
Check it out now In my most recent video
I knew you were going to do body work. That line is hard to draw... just a little more leads to just a little more
Going to be ao bad azz
Some would argue that it had patina before you painted it lol. Still looks mint but looking forward to seeing how it turns out
I didn’t like how it looked
@@BodeVision it grew on me sir but no the dash hahaha needs a custom one.
Do you plan on spraying clear coat?

Nice how long have you been painting for and what gun do you use

Should you not turn the doors around on the box to stop wind blowing them open
She’ll be fine
I was excited to see a nice gloss black paint job and was thinking to myself "great, he didn't do one of those crappy patina paint jobs", But im wrong :(
Yep. It’ll be a crappy patina job
Why didn't you just clear the original patina.?
Because I didn’t like it it looked
Oh ok

It had a patina paint job, you sanded it off and gave it a Fauxtina paint job. Not the same.
Deeeokay
@BodeVision don't get me wrong, I have seen some cool ones, and if that's your thing... rock it.... but it's not patina.
Leave it matt black man its killer
With your youtube logo .
Peace
I'm still puzzled that you had a patina truck, then sand that off for fake patina
The old “patina” was a backyard rattle can job.
If it was original paint I would have left it alone
You should give it a nice paint job I hate patina paint jobs just seems lazy imo
I don't like fake patina. Real patina can be ok but in general not a big fan of it anymore.
Fake patina is the billet of this generation.. it’s everywhere and and it’s tacky.
If you don't want to bog your videos down... don't ramble on for the whole video.
Patina "paint jobs" are so over played already they are boring af
I’ll bring it to you for paint next time
@BodeVision couldn't afford me man lol
Faux patina 🦨👎 IMHO. It's yours so.....
I know it’s trendy to hate on faux patina jobs. But I feel it’s the best option for this build
