WOW WOW.... they just keep getting better.. lol... that Pipes is truly beaufitul....and i can appriceate the this time that was put in, a love of art..
My neighbors dad had the same Maco when I was a kid. He had a bultaco or something like that to. My first bike was a 1978 RM80 brand new. I had a mr50 before but my first real bike with a 6speed trans.
Gorgeous bike, thanks for showing us, and it is certainly original as it was lame to keep a bike entirely stock back then and that was half the fun, installing aftermarket upgrades for show and go and that new rear fender does look better. And I was a huge Maico fan when I was an American teen in West Germany in the '70s and even bought a used '73 250 from a classmate for $200 in '76. And I bought some parts from Herr Mueller, a Maico dealer in Frankfurt.
I had two of these and one of the larger 400s/ 420? Had a Jawa 370 around the same time still smell the CastrolR . Easy to blow in the orange paint scrapes without knowing they were ever there. Fork pants are horrible and cause rust. Other side chain run and kick start.
