I fully respect personal preferences, but Timestream Navigator is actually amazing in this deck. You can get her out of the yard with haste and use her ability immediately, letting you swing with your pirates an additional time while also getting an additional reanimation with Admiral Brass. Now, this does (mostly) rely on you running some loot/self-mill effects and you usually will need to wait a turn after casting Admiral Brass to have enough mana to activate the Navigator, but I still think this is pretty great. It's not overpowered because the Navigator shuffles back in, so it should be fine at casual tables.
I think wonder is a more reliable pick than archetype of imagination. 6 mana to cast seems like it’ll be pretty steep. Wonder can just chill in the graveyard because we’re discarding and milling anyway.
@@stevenjoubertofficial it makes for some funny moments. Especially when you have Port Razer on the board and your opponents have no way of blocking all your creatures in the air.
I also think Rowdy Crew is a solid add. It draws three cards and discards two at random and gives a decent body with trample. It’s all stuff the deck likes.
I think you are right. Marchesa says the creature has to die in order to return while the finality counter says "if would die, exile instead". So as far as I can tell, there is no death trigger for Marchesa
Thanks for the guide. Appreciated. The Moxfield link is not added btw. I don't think I would take it the exact same way you did, but you gave me some ideas and I really liked some of the suggestions you added here. Solid reasonings overall. :D
Industrial Advancement. You don’t have to do it if you don’t want to. You can use it to sacrifice the creatures you take control of from your opponents to bring out one of your creatures. Yeah it could whiff, but there’s no downside since it all just gets put on the bottom of your library. That means if you don’t hit a creature, your putting cards to the bottom so you can find your creatures faster. Seems like a win-win card to me.
If you only have some of the upgrades, how do you know which cards to cut to add them in? I don't have: adds: Cutthroat Negotiator Shimmer Dragon Wheel of Misfortune Non budget: Dockside Extortionist Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer Grim Hireling but I have everything else
I just won a game because of Timestream and the deck out of the box. I had 3 health left and he had 30. Played a creature card from the graveyard that doubled damage and it was over.

I bought one and added it into mine.
How do you like it?

I suggest "Nesting ground," great for putting finality counter against enemies creatures. Nice upgrade, gonna buy some of those cards

Saw in Half, would be awesome in this deck. I love that card so much.
Unless I'm wrong, I'm pretty sure Marchesa's last line of text does NOT override the finality counter exile effect when the pirates die

both of you are correct! That's also why Rest In Peace stifles death triggers.
I reckon hex parasite is a good way to remove the finality counters so that you can keep bringing those same pirates back
Definitely I almost including him but I’m not sure how much of the effect we need. There’s also thrull parasite if you want more of the effect. 😁
Necropede too
hexavus works to
Why would you cut two evasive creatures if this deck needs more evasion ? 06:18
What is your point ?

Thank you! I appreciate it I added the link to the description! 😁
Let this man cook every day of the year
That’s what I’m saying!

Looks good. Can't wait to try this out.
I gotta see that Don Andres video!
I had no clue this channel posted full length videos lol you should promote them in the shorts
I do sometimes but I’ll definitely start doing it more often 😁
we need a video of the alternate commander for this deck!
Why Power Conduit, but no Nesting Grounds or Soul Diviner?
If you only have some of the upgrades, how do you know which cards to cut to add them in?
I don't have:
adds:
Cutthroat Negotiator
Shimmer Dragon
Wheel of Misfortune
Non budget:
Dockside Extortionist
Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer
Grim Hireling
but I have everything else
Roaming Throbe doubles Brass's etb and eot, as well as plenty of other pirates in the deck. Id run it
There is no moxfield link! Otherwise, another great video for another great deck. Thanks a lot for making decks SO FUN to play with.
Thank you for pointing that out! The link has been added 😁
Don Andres upcoming vid? I smell Tasha, the Witch Queen, Elder Brain, and Captain N'Gathrod as auto-includes for him.
And thieving amalgam!
Insurrection, xanathar, mob rule
I just won a game because of Timestream and the deck out of the box. I had 3 health left and he had 30. Played a creature card from the graveyard that doubled damage and it was over.
I have no doubt extra turns are super strong 😁
Deadeye navi gets my add in stays on theme with flavor atleast
Hope you come back to see don andreas thru
Title typo boss! Good stuff!!
I appreciate it!
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
Always love your techs, definitely getting this precon and definitely getting these upgrades
Hell yea I appreciate it!
Faces of the past
For cutting "Zara, Renegade Recruiter" its an easy dislike.
I love her, but think you’d need a Don Andres deck to get the most so I kinda get it
