Very original choreo and mix of belly dance and that arabic/hip hop beat. In my opinion music mix like this one just makes the movements more powerful, that's why I always wanted to do or see something like this. Great job girls and teacher!
I always try to learn from different styles of dancing, but that is just me. More than two hindu dance teaachers at a cicle of conferences I participated in called resilidance said they preferred only two dance styles to form a "solid" professional dancer. One of the references was barathanarthyan and the most controversial topic of the cicle of conferences was one that had to divide the groups into two on the same period of time in order to settle the conferencists. The conference I chose was what can the natya shastrastill teach us today. The conferencist was very accomplished and had studied the text throughly but suffered heavy prejudices in india because of her cast. My contribution there was to point out that the limitation of the quantity of dance styles and movements dancers were able to learn and study was not only pedagocical but also economical and political.

It is hard to remeber the dresses of the girls now, but watching agains seems like cheating. I always wore whatever was confortable and in many classes al the girls were ugly, so I didn't really dress up much. I'm at home now, but when I counterfactually started believing people from the computer could see me I became a little paranoid, and stopped dressing up to watch things on the computer. What impressed me in this presentation was the cunning use of space. In my dance classes here in Brasil many dancers dance as if they rented a piece of the floor and never move from there. It happens in balls too and it is complicated. There are traditions to deal with it, like moving conterclockwise through the expremities of the room and moving to the center if you feel the song soesn't ask for much dislocation through the floor, but some new dancers don't even learn that and others even think it is a waste for a dance teacher to talk, athat she or he must only show things and be quiet. the dancers changing places in this video was also pedagogical for me as I am used to only watching one lady at a time, not all audiences will be able to follow all the details of everyone without resorces like the technique the dancers used, and here this technique seemed to have been particularlly wel executed. I could use this as a reference when my dance teachers cease to be tired of the last messages I sent them.

Not enjoying the film effects at all...it would be nice to watch it without them. It's been ruined!
