So glad I found your channel! I too am a gadget girl! Cooking is my passion and I love learning new things in the kitchen. You sound a lot like me. Ordering new things and by the time they come, I’ve moved on to something new 😆. I ordered Made In pots and pans and love them. I moved to a new home with more kitchen cabinet space and of course, I’ve run out of room. In 2019 I taught myself how to make sourdough bread. With that, came a new Bosche mixer. Then I decided that I wanted to take my bread making to a different level. So I bought a Mockmill. And now I have several different wheat berries to mill my own flour. I also started pressure canning. With that, came 2 new All American pressure canners. I’ve started gardening, but I have a very small yard so my gardening is limited to container gardening. Then I introduced myself to dehydrating and freeze drying. I also shop the perimeter of the store. My beef is purchased locally from a small female owned business. Grade fed and finished. I purchase my eggs from a private source where they don’t wash them. This spring, I will be getting a few chickens of my own. I have experimented with making my own cheese. I’ve also experimented with making my own ginger ale. This weekend I made tallow and lard. I work from home full time and I live alone. This “hobby” has easily become my “obsession” and this is what happens when you come from a family of foodies. A lot of my food is gifted to friends and family. Retirement is right around the corner (3 more years) for me, and I’m thinking about going into a cottage business as a second career. Hopefully it will continue to be a joy and not turn into work. I’ll be binge watching your channel. Happy New Year!
I love the joy you find in your kitchen gadgets. They are organized. You can find them and use them. No one's busness what you collect and find joy in. Your home, your money. Wish negative people would just keep it to themselves rather than judging others. I love watching your videos. So glad you didn't give up!
Always love your videos. What a journey you and Eric have been on starting with the tour of the first pan room through to today. Your equipment and gadget videos really make me happy (and question my small, small kitchen storage).
I have loved watching you and Eric for a long time!! I just love to hear you laugh, Amy! It always makes me smile! I'm so happy your channel is exploding!!
I love watching your Channel, Amy. You are so authentic and You and Eric are such a great couple. You have made me realize that I can go outside my comfort zone and cook whatever looks interesting. Wishing You and Eric many happy years in your new home! Looking forward to all your future videos!
Amy, I love my Crock Pit! Today I put a Chuck Roast in with sliced onions, fresh mushrooms, some beef broth and some mushroom soup on top. This will cook on low for 8 hours and it is so delicious. I used my crock pot all the years I worked and it was a life saver for me. Now that I am retired, I still over doing these dump and go dinners. All I have to do later is make my Mashed Potatoes. I started cooking when I was 21 years old and on my own. I have about 15 gadgets and that’s all I need. I am a self proclaimed QVC Queen! My first recipe in 1975 was a meatloaf. and I moved on from there. My learning to cook is a 48 year process. I invested in a good set of stainless steel cookware set, it was $600 in 1982, but I still have a few pieces today. I love Le Creuset! I have the 3.5 qt Dutch oven and it’s a work horse in the Kitchen. This has become my #1 favorite cooking gadget next to my crock pot. Love you both.❤️
Wow I love the newest video about all the gadgets you have collected over time and so organized too. I do have a question for you though I need your honest opinion you did a test on over a year or two ago I think the brand is Zacme stand mixer especially the 7.4 quart. I'm stuck between this brand and the KitchenAid in your opinion which one would be better?Has Zacme giving you any issues how much do you use it? I look forward to hearing from you.
I am an older, retired “still learning how to cook”, cook. I have been collecting kitchen gadgets, etc. for several years now. My problem is…I really WANT to cook more things. BUT I am married to someone who does not understand or appreciate “collecting”, unless you “USE IT EVERY DAY”. When my kids were young, I had nothing but cheap stuff. Now I can afford quality equipment, and just looking at it makes me happy.
Omg, your my new best friend!! I collect kitchen gadgets too. I have 5 instant pots lol. I can cook but I am always trying to do better because my family is so picky! I found you from Souptember and have subscribed. I am trying to get up the courage to start my own UA-cam channel and find your channel refreshing, thank you for sharing. I look forward to binge watching your content!
Hi FromCanadawithLove! Thanks for watching! We must be sisters heart! I love kitchen gadgets! You should start a channel. I would love to see your collection! Thanks for watching! It is nice to meet you!
I've been watching your videos for a long while and I enjoy them all.. I actually wish there were MORE videos from you (and Eric) but I'm sure you have "real lives" to attend to.. I started watching because of your mixer comparisons when I first decided I wanted to purchase a mixer .. and I have been watching every video since. Needless to say, 1 mixer turned into 3, turned into 4 and give aways (as you said) -- and this happened with most of my equipment as I have started realizing what level I want equipment to function at.. Yes, people would say I'm obsessed with kitchen equipment (especially) but it's a pattern of sorts that can find itself in various areas of my life.. I didn't start really accumulating anything until after probably 30+ years of working full-time -- only had the mid-level basics in all areas, but over time, when things needed replacing, I made a decision, not to leave JUNK behind to my family and invest in quality items that I can actually pass down.. I am also teaching myself to "really cook" on a more experienced level and hoping to get into some professional training & certifications.. I'm so amazed at what I didn't know about foods, recipes, growing foods, the chemistry of foods and reactions and how cookware and technique plays its own roles in all of it.. There is always something to LEARN and that's important at any stage of life -- keep that brain interested, excited and processing information. I appreciate your content and can't wait to share your journey into homesteading.
I'm new to your channel. But I'm so proud of you Amy. Your perseverance with learning how to cook is very impressive. I wish there was more people like you. Yes, I watched your first video on this channel. Happy cooking! 😊
I 100% with you and everyone else who love cooking . I have a cabinet full of pots , skillets and pans . I love resale and antique stores for my gadgets and skillets . And finding new was to cook different dishes expands your your kitchen lol . I have been dabbling into more Asian style cooking . It has been a fun journey . Looking at a new skillet as I type this lol . Happy Cooking !! Love your videos !
thank you for the honest thoughts, they mean alot to people your encouragement. How many stand mixers do you have now? do you pick things for the certain colors? I sometimes feel guilty if I have more than one of a certain thing. Im not sure why. Im alot older and from a different time, maybe thats why I dont know. I love machines, but I never had one in my early years, I use to do everything by hand but with age I cant do that now. I started working in a factory when I was 22 and I think thats where I started to love machines, but couldnt afford them back then being a single mom. so Im just curious and thank you so much for these words
I’m saddled with the same obsession!! Hubby calls me “Gadget Queen” I Adore,Enameled Cast Iron Anything!! As well as, every sized cast iron skillet I can find! Just a couple of the cooking tools that I’m obsessed with! Small appliances are also a thing with me. Like, I have several different sizes of Food Processors and love each! Also have a couple of stand mixers!! Your videos are awesome!
I’ve watched you and Eric about a year now and I’m drawn to your warm down to earth personality and style. Like you I have many many kitchen treasures. I love them all including my 5 Ninjas. You’re a good cook and next I’m going to make your ranch dressing. Looks delicious. Thanks for the fun.
Good video. I usually plan crockpot meals, oven casserole, stove top and a couple of Instant Pot meals. Depending how energetic I feel. Great presentation on new gadgets and easy to understand. Thank you again.
I know that my cooking changed dramatically when I learned to pressure can. Also, I've recently begun meal prepping on Sundays. A LOT of work but makes my life easier.
I have TWO KitchenAid mixers. I know that you spit on that, but it's a big deal for me. And I got both of them from OfferUp. I never thought about having more than one but thanks to you, I have two. Now I don't expect to have 1/4 the equipment that you have, but I am happy with what I have. Keep doing what you do Amy and happy hunting for your next mixer.
Amy enjoy your gadgets. As long as you can pay your bills and have a budget for your interests. Don't feel guilty. I have 9 gadgets, I don't drink or smoke, I don't go out much. I have a budget. I find it fun to learn how to cook with my gadgets which saves me time.
That was a good video I'm alot like you I'm obsessed with pots and pans and cook books I like to watch people cook to me some of the fun of cooking is playing around with pots and pans and things and then you get to eat it when it's done the pots and pans and cook books thing I got way more than I need but I keep buying more the cook books I like to look at the pictures
What stand mixer would you get for your first mixer? Im looking at the Vevor with proofer. is their another model that has ALL the accessories? for under $250? In watching your vids, grocery store peanut butter cookies just don't cut it any more.
I’ve bought several items based on your recommendations, even a roll around cart to put some of it on! I had to even buy shelves to put it on. I only buy what I think I need to make things easier. Since the covid etc…I’ve had to learn how to make the things I like because I can’t depend on anyone to make things right anymore unless I’m standing there giving directions like at Subway (by the way, it’s BOGO time at Subway).
I really appreciate this video. Here's the funny part... I don't cook often and I'm not a good cook, although I wish I was. However, I'm addicted to cookware, mostly pots and pans. I am running out of room in my kitchen cabinets and pantry. What is wrong with me? lol
For some great quick meal ideas check out Mandy in the making. I’ve gotten a lot of ideas from her channel. I’m a retired Grandma raising my grandchildren. It’s hard for me to have the energy at the end of the day. She has some great ideas that have made home cooked meals easier and you might like her recipes too.
I know another UA-cam channel that has a tun of its and pans and a tun of gadgets. Super nice lady but, she bought the gadgets and pots and pans over the years. But she has a tun of that stuff.
A little out of control? When you have multiple “pan rooms” in your house and you are not a professional chef, you are more than just a little out of control. It is fascinating to listen to an addict’s rationalization.
@@AmyLearnsToCook I love and follow your recipes but have often wonder why you have so many kitchen gadgets that can do the same thing, this one looks better in that color or this one comes has with an extra bowl that I could use, believe me I know, I was telling myself that I was obsessed and needed these gadgets as well when I was really being a hoarder. Keep enjoying what you love to do ❤️

Also, love the porch view and rocking chair, perfect with the plaid top! Almost makes me want to leave CA and head back East...
Thanks!
Thank you, Howard! I really appreciate it!
Fun video. You could put casters on the drawers and use them as under bed storage until you need them again.
I love your channel!! 🎉🎉 You remind of my self. All the gadgets and such. You are an inspiration to people like me!! Keep up the good work.

Amy you are a collector, have you ever thought of doing a room with your stand mixers on display ?
Now that would be fun! Maybe down in the studio kitchen I could setup some of the shelving just for the stand mixers.
Good video. I usually plan crockpot meals, oven casserole, stove top and a couple of Instant Pot meals. Depending how energetic I feel. Great presentation on new gadgets and easy to understand. Thank you again.
Love ya Amy and all the best advice you share!!!!
Like Hi friend so delicious yummy yummy amazing recipes thanks for sharing my friend👍👍👍👈👈🌸🌸👌

When HSN years ago was selling the Ultrex cookware I was somewhat obsessed with that particular brand.
Nowadays I get a little OCD with everyday pans
Love it...

How do you chose like which mixer to use when you want to make something do you have a system or just go by how you are feeling
Absolutely fantastic....every part of this....and you...❤ I've been with you from the very beginning.... You look so beautiful today.... WOW !

I have a really big basement lol! Thanks for watching, Mark!
I LOVE WHITE PORCELAIN DISHES IT IS A BIG COLLECTION BUT YOU UNDERSTAND HOW WE DO WHAT WE DO ❤
What stand mixer would you get for your first mixer? Im looking at the Vevor with proofer. is their another model that has ALL the accessories? for under $250? In watching your vids, grocery store peanut butter cookies just don't cut it any more.
I really love to cook, but I don’t consider it a hobby, it’s a life skill.❤️
Sometimes I will look at all my mixtures and one of them will motivate me to make a special dish

hi Amy long time follower here, is it possible you can teach us how to convert regular recipies into insta pot recipies?
If the drawer faces aren’t dovetailed etc. you might be able to remove the faces and trash the drawers to save space?
I was thinking that I should at least keep the fronts in case I need them in the future. Maybe I can find a place to to stick them in the basement.
Wisdom. Choices.
I have the same obsession
Hi Somy! We are one in the same lol. Thanks for watching!

OMG!!!!!
LOL!
Where are you located?
Hi Julie! I am on the east coast.
I don't know how you got like this, but let me know when you have a garage sale!!!! ❤
Me too!!😂😂
❤❤😊
I completely understand the addiction, I am eyeing the Thermomix now😳. I’d rather collect it than use it!
Oh I would love one of those Thermomix. They look amazing!
Put those drawers in an attic or basement
Instead of KA for Kitchen Aid or King Arthur… introducing KA “Kitchen Anonymous”
A bit of a hoarder lol
I know another UA-cam channel that has a tun of its and pans and a tun of gadgets. Super nice lady but, she bought the gadgets and pots and pans over the years. But she has a tun of that stuff.
Jjmm
This is normal Amy because you’re a woman 👩 😊
Yep! LOL!
