The yama one was mymistake as I didn't banish it for cost, my initial game plan went out the window once I saw I was missing SP and had an internal panic that I had lost it, so made many missplays after that

@7:40 saffira is a Dragon so Diviner can't mill it.
@17:40 to destroy cards they need to have a ritual on the field, and the trap CANNOT summon rituals due to game mechanics (old man sauravis cheats because it specifies that it summons rituals)
Overall for that turn 2 game 2 where you missed the OTK, don't forget how useful Pain reflecting damage is. From @14:50 since Ogre wasn't used it's pretty safe to assume it won't leave the field, meanwhile Trias has 2900 DEF. So Gate discard Super Poly for Spirit, BP, Spirit attack Trias for 2900, Yubel attack Trias for 2900, Squirmer SS from hand pop Spirit (if you run 2nd Yubel) or Yubel (Terror will be banished by Magna though but we don't know this) for the final 2900.
But even safer it would be to just keep Mudragon for DARK on the field, attack with Yubel for 2900, then use Superpoly (discard Squirmer) and fuse away Yubel + Lo for 1000 burn (3900 total), then attack Trias for 2900 damage (6800 total) and at the end of damage step Protector will burn for 1900 (8700 total, 9200 if you also use Yama).
Finally when you have Terror on the board, instead of reviving Spirit you can just revive Yubel, then use Yubel's mandatory effect first in the end phase and tribute Terror off the field before it destroys everything (this is for effect btw, so it floats into Ultimate if you run it). That way you get Rage + Samsara at the very least.

I assume allowing Yama to be banished is fair play for locals, because Squirmer is all in one effect so they can't just use Magna on Yama when you decide during resolution to destroy Yubel and float into Terror. They would have to activate it as CL2, then you wouldn't pop your own Yubel.

Missed that they sent Saffira I thought it was a second trias.
That's my mistake on the trap I mixed up the effects, thought it was shuffle to pop and control to search.
The yama one was mymistake as I didn't banish it for cost, my initial game plan went out the window once I saw I was missing SP and had an internal panic that I had lost it.

@@zephyrwargamesyugioh Well you still had the OTK but i can totally understand not seeing it in this mood.
However, about Yama unless they chain Magna to Squirmer's activation in hand, there is nothing they can do to prevent it because Yama is a trigger effect going before any quick-effect (like Magna) and banishes itself as cost, so the best they could do is banish a Fiend in your GY and you would just get another one since it doesn't target.
This robbed you of a discard as well for your intended play, since on resolution of Yama you could have destroyed Pain, then use Gates effect (you would have either Yubel or Spirit) to recover it (a small glimpse through your extra, since you did Anguish you would have the needed discard for Muck to lock them with Gryphon + Yubel/Lotus + Rage with Chamber in GY)

Congrats first of all. Some notes (since I tried to help Zephyr, it would be rude to not help you as well)
      - Diviner cannot mill Saffira and old man Sauravis because these are Dragons.
      - On game 2 when you opened Trias, it's really good to keep it hidden and dig with Pot as the first move. Diviner is a handtrap magnet and you could have wasted their Imperm there (Trias would just tribute Diviner to get you a Herald search + Lo)
      - In the Yubel matchup you can be very easily OTKed during YOUR turn by Pain and Spirit so always try to keep your trap pop live and use it on Pain or Throne.
      - But Trias can also be super nasty. For example if the opponent didn't have Imperm on Diviner (from the above suggested play), you could send a Lo instead, tribute Trias in your hand and SS the Lo from GY. Then during the opponent's turn, you can tribute Diviner and Lo to get a pop, and Diviner will float into another Lo to place the 1off continuous spell to allow you a Ritual Summon (with Trias as the free material) always keeping a Lo on your board. Popping Pain or Throne that way is devastating, then the extra pop with the trap (after Super Poly) seals the deal.
      - Ritual Sauravis can be arguably stronger than Guardian in this matchup, especially if you can loop it (using the continuous Spell). Banishing Yama and Muck essentially destroys any big play, and if they try to utilize effects that summon to make Varudras, Sauravis stops this as well (prevents the summon so the negate isn't live yet).
