- In this video we are celebration of new new Denmark king and we started walking from Kongens Nytorv metro station and we will walked all the way to Amalienborg.
Today Danish Queen Margrethe I abdicates after 52 years on the throne. More than 100,000 people was celebrating in Copenhagen,
Crowds have gathered along the procession route in Copenhagen to catch a glimpse of the soon to be new King and Queen of Denmark.
Tasmanian-born Mary Donaldson married Denmark's Prince Frederik in 2004. Mary will become the first Australian woman to head a European Royal family after her mother-in-law Queen Margrethe abdicated the throne on New Year's Eve. Queen Margrethe lI was the world's only reigning queen and the longest-serving current monarch in Europe before her abdication. There will be no formal crowning ceremony for Crown Prince Frederik. Congratulations to all Denmark 🇩🇰 🎉

@zefatini8528 One little complaint from me! The people in the window at the French Embassy only waved the French Flag ( at least in this video). That was a tiny bit "provocative" to me!?!! Maybe it was in memory of Henri/Henrik, but they should at least have had BOTH a Danish and a French Flag. That would have been OK with me!

Hurra 9 times. Or more correctly 3x3 times. Normally it is 3 times ( sometimes with a loooong 4th one ). But on special occasions ( and this WAS that ) it is 9 times.
edit; after watching I realize this was not the official proclamation from Christiansborg ( the building of Government and parliament ), but only from Amalienborg, the place the Royal Family lives). So the numbers of hurras was just a random mess from the crowd! At the official proclamation at the Christiansborg balcony it was our PM chanting 9 times hurra for the new King. This second going on the balcony at Amalienborg was not part of the official program, but an extra for the audience there.

Danes are egalitarian and humble. And it serves them well. Denmark is certainly one of the best functioning countries in Europe and worldwide.
