Hi I’m from Beaufort SC where they filmed the bridge scene. I didn’t know that until I watched a video from a lady who is also a South Carolinian and a big Tom Hanks fan. Lost my home to a fire a few years ago I wish I was down there still !
I’m very sorry to hear about your house, that’s a shame. As for Beaufort, I thought it was a very beautiful area. That was my first time there and I spent some time walking around the town through the streets of the beautiful homes. Very, very nice place.

I believe I visited two bridges in the Beaufort area in my video. The first bridge was the Woods Memorial Bridge. It’s the large bridge you see right on the waterfront in Beaufort. If you walk out on it a hundred yards or so you’ll see the steel girders where I stopped and filmed. The smaller bridge I visited is on the outskirts of Beaufort. It spans over the water by Sams Point Boat Landing, which is at 1009 Sams Point Road. I hope this helps.

i know the tree is on private property but for the other locations u should include street names and such.

There were actually several prop benches used in the movie. That happens to be one of them.
