SWAGY FLIGHTS only at high variable frame rates. We rarely notice it when filming regularly though.

I've spent uncountable hours watching footage about anamorphic lenses on gh5, and even the test footage I've seen people post with these exact lenses doesn't look this good. I need to know your secrets.. I NEED TO KNOW. I have a big project coming up that requires anamorphic and this footage/setup makes me want these simply because of your project, but want to make sure I dial it all in right.

Looks great but hey let me know if you guys would like a third videographer unless you want to stick to being the two of you.
It would be nice to only get slow-mo off of one camera so you can keep the regular motion shots at 1/48 shutter instead of 1/125 and look choppy.

Do you guys think the anamorphic is worth it? The teaser looks AMAZING, but apart from the horizontal flares, I'd attribute most of that to you guys and not the lens. We live in Joshua Tree and shoot a lot of weddings here on the GH5 and I know how beautiful the light is and how it looks. I've been curious about anamorphic, but I'm not sure I see enough difference here to justify the expense/hassle of shooting anamorphic.
we don't think that the price of the lenses fit well for weddings, they are a little more tricky to focus with (MUST use a monitor imo) and also they are pretty darn heavy, so we don't highly recommend them as a practical everyday lens for weddings and elopements. but dangit they are so pretty and TOTALLY worth using at some point, especially if you're working with a couple that would appreciate it like Mike and Emily. hope that helps!

It happened on a couple shots specifically with the ronin since it was a heavier rig than we anticipated.
How was it using a gimbal in anamorphic mode in terms of focusing?
we are blind without a monitor. haha that helped a lot.

you film in 4x3 mode which looks stretched when you film, and then in post you stretch it back out creating the very wide effect. The GH5 uses the entire sensor that way which is a 6k sensor I believe.

How can you record the audio outside even if there was wind?
the groom's back was to the wind which helped :) and we encouraged them to stand close together when they say their vows so that the lav can pick up the bride just as good.

Shot on v-log or natural?
Natural. We tried v-log a couple shots at the beginning and instantly switched because of some color shifts and artifacting in the interior shots.
White In Revery Which one you find it best in terms of color reproduction buddy? Vlog, CineD or Natural?
