hey there, i was there! if my memory is correct that day richie havens, donovan, melanie, lou reed, joni mitchell and pete. i was up against the stage most of the day (in front of the keyboard fellow). what a wonderful day. thank you for posting.
And Ziggy I cooked there up on the messa
Great concert - actually one of his very best solo concerts ever :)
Except he doesn't have a drummer! Weird, given the Who were driven by one of the greatest, most creatively crazy drummers in rock history. The percussionist, bless her cotton socks, is playing her heart out, but maracas and odd electronic drum devices hardly make up for a solid, driving rock drummer in a band like this...obviously it's Pete's decision, moving away from the Who straightjacket maybe.
Oooooh, a kalimba! This is great!!! Thank you for posting it.
I was there 😁
I took my 15 year old son and his friend to Friday's and Sunday's shows to A Day In The Garden. Soooo sorry we missed Saturday's show with Pete T. So glad this is Posted. THX for that. I was 18 at the original Woodstock 1969. I wasn't there physically, but in Mind and spirit. Love the Music of My era - so do my son(s). After Friday's show (Don Henley with Stevie Nicks .... of course it rained !!), while driving home (we live about 1 1/2 hours away in Westchester County) ,my son says: Dad, This was the Best Day of My Life!! He was thrown around in a Mosh Pit while Ten Years After was performing. TYA was my personl favorite at Woodstock and I'm still a big fan. R.I.P. Alvin Lee - they never got the acclaim that They Deserved.
I was there with my Quadrophenia shirt on. Loved Save it for Later.
i was up close for Pete in 69, he's my favorite guitar player--not the best, but i'd rather watch him than all the others--(there is no best)
Once their airborne and aloft they are criusing at supersonic speed at 45,000 ft; man it is swift.
Why no drums ???, where is Simon Phillips ?.
