The ticket issue you mentioned is a little more than you said. If you use a casino card and play with that card inserted, the tickets you cash out are both time and person-stamped. So if you lose a ticket and someone uses it they have all the information they need. They will have the machine or redemption kiosks it was inserted and photos and ID of the person. Depending on the value of the ticket they can proceed with either criminal charges or ban with local notification to other casinos or both.
