This was amazing but felt like it could have been longer had more potential like showing the others races especially the true dragons.
In my opinion I don’t think the ship was technically necessary.
I agree with you because other than tensura this is also my favorite anime
along with the other 2 gods of tensura (Veldanava and Chloe), since Elite skipped them

Rimuru became strong out of necessity not because he wanted to. A good example of this is when Millim asked Rimuru if he wanted to become a demon lord. His answer was dodge-ish at the very least, and he was extremely nervous. The only reason Rimuru became a demon lord was so he could revive his people. If The Jura Tempest Federation was never attacked, Rimuru wouldn't become a demon lord, simply because he had no reason to.
This was amazing but needs a part 2 with the true dragons his powers and thr primordials to feel complete
