Wow Raven's goof with the Schwann brigade all they way back in that cave was pretty good foreshadowing.
I always figured Raven getting freed by Alexei at the start of the game was suspicious too

Judith and Yuri receive a stern talking to for their actions, but poor Raven gets the crap beat out of him.
Well Yuri and Judith had good intentions with their actions. Raven on the other hand gave Estelle to Alexei knowing it was wrong and still did it. I like Raven a lot but he deserved the ass kicking.
To be fair he did kidnap and gave Estelle to Alexei and fight and tried to kill the gang under Alexei's orders even if it's for his own reasons so it's not like he didn't see this coming and was preparing for any punishment for betraying the guild when he was handing the knife to Yuri when they got on Heracles
Yuri did get a beating lol
I forgot this scene happened (been a few years since I played the 360 version) and I started laughing hysterically when Patty used body slam

Because you know, she's an additional party member. Namco really needed to emphasize that. She's a pirate, and a party member, and she can also call dibs on mildly punking Raven.

Because every Tales Game you have that one party member who can't really help being such a boy scout. And Raven needed a break anyway, with dem fragile ol' bones.
That and Flynn took orders from Alexei like Raven did. If he punched, he'd be a hypocrite.

Oh how I remember my friend freaking out seeing Schwann and realizing it. I laughed so hard.
It'd be nice if Raven told us his secret to getting around places, could take a heap off Ba'ul's workload.
The funniest part is Flynn not punching Raven.
It may be funny, but it would be hypocritical of Flynn if he punched Raven as well, considering Flynn was also one of Alexei's main puppets.

When I learned that Captain Schwann Oltorain is really Raven, I cried so hard when I thought he really died in Baction but I'm so happy and relieved that he is alive when I saw him in Heracles. I love Raven, he is one of my favorite characters of the whole tov game, respect!!
I was absolutely not ready for that, it broke my heart, I came to search for a video where I could hear the dialogue since I couldn't take battling him in that moment, it was so sad...

I don't know who else betrays in the Tales of Games, I've only played Symphonia, Crestoria, Berseria, Zestiria, Vesperia, and Xillia so far.

The music in the Shrine of Baction sounds like a chorus of Ralsei’s. And now you can’t unhear it.
The music also has a meaning to it, the name of the music is the countless ages btw anyway the music was meant for raven/schwann about how he lived life for over 10 years already, i love that man respect

Damn, I just finished this boss fight. Not only it was a surprise, but also make me grind a little and learn to perform Mystic Artes
I'm surprised he actually didn't use Falling that much in your fight (and that it didn't instantly send you to the shadow realm when it did hit). There's something funny about seeing him use Just Like Dancing in the air though.

Definitely, my favorite boss fight in the game, while the fight with Alexei sucks. I hate that fight so much.
I had to go on easy with that one. This game reminds me so much of the PS2 days. It plays very well on the switch handheld. This is my second one, and I am taking into post game. I missed out on the series.
Edit: I never played this on the Xbox.
@@Joe_334 Vesperia is the 5th Tales of game of the 11 Tales of games that I've played so far. Once Arise releases, it'll be my 12th Tales of game.
...actually, does anybody know if Schwann can still use Arrivederci if you skip the sidequest to get it?
Schwann could be annoying in the 360 version, but in the ps3/definitive version he is just an asshole with how much he breaks combos.
In fact I don't know how this dude is able to comboing him so well while reciving so "little" damage from him on hard...he always escapes from my combo chains and does way more damage to me.
If am being honest Raven is my favourite character followed by the Pirate Loli aka Patty 😌😄 lol

How can you combo so well? I am playing this on the ps4 and barely can do a 15 hit combo.
