I love Ed Cherry. Always in the pocket. Always tasteful lines. Always some blues inside. And I never ever heard him overplay. Next time he travels to Europe I just hope he can make it to Austria as well.
I recently heard about Ed. I don't know how I didn't know about him. I am constantly playing his recordings now and getting lots of inspiration from his wonderful playing.
Ed is a hero of my sons. His solo on the Montreal 81 made him want to take up the guitar. Great voice on the instrument.
