  • My first impressions of Paris, France! I took the train from Scotland to London and then the Eurostar for the first time to Paris - such a cool experience. I stayed at St Christopher's Inn Gare Du Nord hostel and visited Paris for 48 hours. I took a big bus tour around all the main sites (Notredame Cathedral, Eiffel Tower, Champs-Elysees, Arc De Triomphe, and then had some pizza and drinks at a cafe before watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle at dusk.
The next day I had some croissants and ice cream at Berthillon before walking to the Louvre museum to see the Mona Lisa. I booked my ticket on Get Your Guide and hopped on the metro to Montmarte to have some crepes and see the Sacre Coeur. More crepes and drinks later, and then hometime back on the Eurostar to London! This video covers what to do, what to see, what to eat, how much I spent and how much to budget for a trip to Paris.
This video was filmed in September 2023 🇫🇷

We did the hop on hop off in Paris a few years ago. We made a rookie mistake and got on at around 5 pm. Rush hour. 45 min to go about 4 blocks! We got off and just took the metro after that. Would love try it again though! btw my mother was from Glasgow!
