OMG I can’t thank you enough!!!!! You saved JoJo’s life!!! We are brand new homesteaders and we had a sick hen 🐓 I had no clue what to do so I jumped on UA-cam and found you!!! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH for your words of wisdom! If you ever wonder if what you share helps others, it does and JoJo says thank you too!!! Big Blessings!!!!!🐓❤️🐓❤️
Yay!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉
My dad has been using garlic to cure his sick pigeons for the past 40 years. It works great. Just cut it up in small pieces about the size of corn and force a couple down their throats. I've seen pigeons on their death bed, not even able to walk. A day after a garlic treatment they looked 100% better and survived. And yes, always separate from flock so they dont get picked on or spread it.
I’m try this
Me too

@@PikaChu-eb9qi I used a number of things some medicine I got from tractor supplies, and the garlic and yes it did work
One of my favorite hens died and when another was not looking well I took a stool sample to my vet to be tested for coccidiosis. Negative. But after upping her calcium (oyster shells and grubs) and adding probiotics (yoghurt, fermented feed, and scobies) she passed a lash egg (very weird) and now she has really bounced back. I'm so glad that I did not cull her and sad that I wasn't more proactive with the other one.
What is a lash egg?
@@amberkat8147 It is a mass of pus and tissue that gathers in an infected and inflamed oviduct. The proper name is Salpingitis. Sadly, after she felt well for a while she sickened again and died :-(
I add Apple cider vinegar and garlic to one of my waterers. That seems to keep them bright and healthy.
Nice suggestion, ACV is a fantastic supplement for chickens I've heard. I drink it quite often too!
@Dragon Gaming if you have one that is dehydrated, I'd recommend the product I linked below. You can get it at Tractor Supply Stores. ACV and garlic water aren't for dehydration as far as I know. I've only ever used garlic water for an impacted crop, and I've never used ACV in their water. I think some people say it's supposed to help naturally kill worms but from what I've read and learned, it's not true.
In terms of dehydration though, I'd recommend keeping the below item on hand, along with Nutri-Drench.

Dragon Gaming I just pop a splash in the water. 2 or 3 tablespoons in a bucket.
Have a look at Justin Rhodes on youtube. He calls it magic water adds garlic, and apple cider vinegar
Can you give garlic to a little chicken?
I’m new to raising chickens and lost one this week. Two more were not looking good and I was sure one was not going to make it. I found your video two days ago, followed your advice, and today, they’re all improving! Thank you for sharing this!!!
Great video!!! I had a couple sick Orpingtons a couple months ago. I separated them in their own run and actually brought them inside to sleep lol, I don’t yet have a second coop… but I had also given them garlic! As per my mother in laws suggestions. Within a few weeks (3), they were back in the coop! :)
I had a sick hen last year and I picked her up and she started choking on a green fluid so I kinda helped her spit it all up. I then gave her some aloe juice and apple cider vinegar in her water and fed her lots of good food. I put her in our spare chicken house and she healed right up and is perfectly healthy now.
How do you "help" a chicken spit up fluid? 👀
Great tip I will do the same. Thank you.
Calling a chicken he or she makes it weird for me who eats them 😂😂
HOW DID YOU HELP HER SPIT THE FLUID? PLEASE TELL ME PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!! MY CHICKEN IS DYING HURRY PLEASE
By massaging her crop, careful tho we just had one choke to death 🙏 poor chicky
My mother and grandmother, in growing turkeys, used black peppercorns as an antibiotic. decades, if they had "x" chicks, they also became "x" adults. The pepper is administered, one bean, every day, from the first days (logically, by administration ... forced. one bean in the beak of the chicks, and aimed to swallow it). Valid recipe, verified (also for decades) on chicken.
Have you tried a 5 minute bath in Epsom salts (1 - 1 1/2 cups ES) and warm water? It works wonderfully 🐔
Janice - One sick chicken - just used garlic today and cider vinegar because your recipe not on hand today - will be prepared and make the LAB stuff and get the oil ASAP! Thanks always like your stuff!
I fully respect what you are doing for the chickens and you go about doing those things. I have young laying hens and a rooster. My plans are to have enough eggs daily for the wife and I what we can handle. They are also pets and part of my life I treat them very spoiling I constantly make sure they have fresh things. I do plan on having a rotation of chickens when they reach their life ends. I will put them on my table for when the time comes.
he speaks really nice about chickens.
I had two chickens with impacted crops. One was shaking and falling over. I removed them from the flock and set them up in thr bathroom. I took food away. Offered water only that first day with probiotics, acv, and electrolytes in the water. They drank. Crop did not go down. So I had to vomit my chicken which is risky but it worked. The sickest one was doing better n the next day I did it to the other one. Day three I fed them egg yolk for nutrition. Day 4 they were pooping up a storm, bocking at me and trying to fly out of the bathroom. Later day 4 I removed the food dish from the run and put them back. They ate scraps but very little so they didn't get back into that blockage. It's been a week and they're both fine now. Thank God. 😊
How do you make your chicken vomit?

One of my chickens was sitting with eyes closed and barley moving, and not moving away. The next day, she was laying down barley moving, just very slow, raspy breathing, almost lifeless. The next day, it was dead. It was given medicine but didn't work. I wish I found this video sooner.

I'm not sure how it would affect the chicken, but I have actually given two different pups who were actively passing away, colloidal silver and both recovered! Also, love these videos, thank you for sharing.
Wow didn't know this could be done with such simple ingredients .What a great video and great positive comments. I have a sick hen very similar I also grow garlic so I'm going to go and try this right now. Big thanks to everyone
Nearby me at all… we don’t have any chicken veterinarians, it’s so sad and it’s really hard for me. I’m a 13 year old and I love my chickens DEARLY! i love al my animals so much and my silkie died from a respiratory disease, i was stupid to not know what was happening to her but I think my chicken now has the same disease.. as she’s having raspy breathing, sneezing and her eyes are a bit closed. I use garlic in the water+apple cider vinegar. As immune system booster I use echinacea extract, medical herbs, spice, prebiotics and probiotics. For parassites I use coconut oil or neem oil. Garlic & pumpkin are great against worm.

I’m a beekeeper and i add propolis to my chickens water feed ,,it’s the best antibacterial made by bees.i also infuse fresh sage, oregano, and garlic into apple cider vinegar and add some to their feed once a week .
much safer then essential oil......ex. 1 drop of peppermint e.o. equals 28 cups of peppermint tea.
That’s great! I’m a beekeeper to and I had not thought of using propolis! Will now
Thank you this has been a great help. I'll try this to help my chicken 👍
Hi there! I just found this particular video and your channel 2 days ago. This is my first time raising chickens and I've already had a lot of adversity. In my couple day old chicks, I had a little chick with curled feet who wasn't eating or drinking and I went to YT. Taped her feet and she ate and drank the 2nd day, but then she was gone the 3rd. Then another chick developed severe cross beak and many recommended to euthanize chick if I was going to incubate in the future, so I did with many, many tears! So, the other day, I noticed one of my favorite hens and who happens to be the largest, acting exactly like you describe in this video. My remaining chickens are now almost 10 weeks old. I always have medicinal grade oregano oil and garlic is a staple. So, I had those and my chick waterer, so I made up the garlic, oregano oil water and put it out. Then I was on a mission to get a LOT of Kimchi. So, I went to the city to the Asian market, got 2 big jugs of Kimchi and then to Tractor supply to get another small waterer and put out the Kimchi secret sauce. My chicken is completely transformed! She is back to her old self and then some. I know this is long, but I cannot thank you enough for such a wonderful, natural remedy that saved one of my favorite gals! I am following you now sir! LOL! By the way, this chicken looks like a bald eagle, except the white is golden on her....she's beautiful! Many thanks!
Am so grateful to you DR RORPOPOR HERBAL on UA-cam, for curing my Candida albican overgrowth within 14days, with he's natural supplement ....

I use ACV in their water but I use Gro2Max Probiotic Supplement mixed in with oatmeal or their fruit and veggies. I have been useing this combination for years and I have a 7 yr old hen that still lays and keeps up with the younger ones. 😉 Really enjoyed your video keep up the great information. 👍
Can you give acv to little chickens?

ACV MEAN DEAR I DONT UNDER STAND IF THERE ABBREVIATION
@@flower7862 Apple Cider Vinegar
Good video. I have found Vet RX is very good when they have a breathing problem.
Recently, my 4 hens acted a bit lethargic, and so I gave them oregano tea diluted into their water to treat them. From my research, oregano is good for gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. 😌 so I just added a few ounces to a full waterer feeder. It seems to have worked. Thyme is another good one. Rosemary or Calendula is good for their skin or topical in a salve. ❤
During the summer I gave mine sage mint and rosemary in the water system along with apple cider vinegar
Obviously you love them and Thankyou for this education❤️
I use Turmeric water with Oregano leaf and papaya leaf ,When my chicken gets sick
Thanks for a great video. Just adding a little education. My husband and I raise chickens also and we use many oils for healing and keeping our flock healthy. Just be careful with your oil companies u use we have studied oils from many companies and even if they say pure essential that’s not always true we learned this the hard way
nice to see ur vdo and I got remedies for the sick chicken. at 1:07 to 1:30 white are the breeds of white hen and black hen behind sick chicken.
I like the idea of a quarantine coop. And I would use antibiotics to help keep them from suffering illness but I use nothing from them until the antibiotics are cleared from their bodies.

Thank you for the value of your time . You helped me.
I had a lethargic hen ystdy. I went to UA-cam and gave her a 5 min soak in a small crate with warm tepid water with Epsom salts. Gave her a bit of the bath water with a syringe. Very carefully so as not to aspirate. She was WAY better. Then gave her some scrambled egg. I’ve ordered electrolytes and probiotics to have on hand as well. THANK YOU for the garlic and oregano tip. ❤
Great info using what we've been blessed with in nature.
Mine is in this state. Zombie like. Sleeping all day. Won’t eat or drink. I’m trying garlic :( thank you for help

my chickens are pets but the eggs are a bonus, I hate to cull but had to cull my poor polish pullet I had due to hawk attack ripped her wide open. but I cant afford vet bills either but I did call a chicken vet to get my polish treated and sewed back up, I was willing to do so, but no vet could see me soon enough and I was not going to allow her to suffer. to this day I miss her.
Do sorry 😐
the gray you were talking about looked pretty good but the white chicken walking around had a nasty tail end. Maybe treat the whole flock.
One of my chickens were blind to detail ever Since we got her. She is now completely still like a statue and her feathers are fluffed up. She is still eating and drinking but she has no energy. Any tips?
Hi, please help me. Two of my chickens are sick, one is really sick. One is coughing and sneeze 🤧, other one has head twisting 😭 I don't know what to do, please help
Stinging nettle heals most things,m either dried and chopped up or in a soup ! To be harvested with gloves, a paper bag and scissors...before handling the leaves, rub the contents energetically to avoid a stinger, then you can touch them...
We dry the oregano and give it as part of their feed about 4 days a week. Acidophilus in their feed is added as powder too.
You always have Wonderful Info. Thank you!!

We can give garlic to chickens during summer? Because it's produce more amount of heat to their body especially during summer.
He’s so cute I could watch him all day lol
Hi there love your video. Do the eggs taste different when you. Give them Garlic or apple cider vinegar?

What about Pure Colloidal Silver? I use it for my cat and dog with great success any reason why my chickens wouldn't benefit as well?
I'm using 13ppm silver right now to cure infections bronchitis in my chicks

Thanks for the tips!
Try aged black garlic. It tastes better and is stronger. Also probiotics in water as a preventive. You can get an Asian garlic fermenter online. Good money maker to sell aged garlic at a farmer's market.
I'm making my own home made kombucha. I imagine that would be a great probiotic to give them as well.
Nice Sue I just made a new batch of kombucha today actually. I think occasionally well diluted would be good for them but because it's so acidic it could cause their shells to get weak. That's why they recommend to not feed them citrus often. I've fed them the extra SCOBY before and they really loved that
@@NaturesAlwaysRight what chickens do you have?
I just learned about giving the extra scoby to hens. I 've been making kombucha for years and love having a useful purpose for the scobies. The hens really like them when cut up into bite sized pieces.
Zucchini, specifically the seeds, are a dewormer.
My chicken stopped eating n drinking n its just sitting all day sleeping and barely coming out of the coop. I do t know what's wrong with it. Pls help!!
I had to cull some chickens because they were suffering i tried to heal them but failed. I hope your remedy will help prevent those illnesses. Thank you.

Hi! I have a young chicken (about a month old) and she is usually really skittish and peppy. Today, I noticed that she was being droopy and also closing her eyes, and she started drooling a little bit. I've checked her for impacted crop, which is empty, and I'm about of ideas. She doesn't have mucus (other than the drool), and I'm stuck. Any ideas? Thanks!
When in doubt, garlic.
My 4 months old chicken got sick 3 days ago, she is so weak, she barely walks, most of the time she lays down with her eyes closed, she also has diarrhea. I don’t know, if she drinks and eats, so I am at least giving her water with syringe dropper 3 times a day. I put little pieces of garlic in her food, also add couple of drops of apple cider vinegar to the water in the syringe, but it isn’t getting better at all, I think I will lose her :/ It may be coccidiosis I think, but my parents said that it isn’t worth to visit a vet or buy some medicine for 1 young chicken.
Greatly tips. Thanks for sharing 👍
you have by far, given me more info than just about every body else. thank you sooo much. and you have been on the real with every statement!!

How about using aloevera squeezed in the water. Can it treat a chicken with discharge watering from the mouth, running stomach?
nice vid, thanks for the info. will brows more on garlic :)
Whats your beef with Antibiotics? I have used them as soon as the bird doesn't look well .... get them into them while they can still eat and drink ...... I have saved some amazing hens ....
One other thing you need to observe with your chickens, is to observe the tail. If it's dropped down, then you know the chicken is sick.
That chicken of yours has that characteristic.
Thank you, great video. Life happens as does death sometimes we have to let nature take its course.
Thx. I suspect one of my 5 month old silkies is fighting respiratory issue...I was looking for diagnosing help and for natural remedies. Appreciate your video AND comments from viewers. Thx to you all.
BTW, I created chick daycare. I bought two fenced kennels from Amazon. Makes 30 sq ft daycare which I move around my grassy field every few days. I put the 4 more aggressive chickens into daycare one day and the 4 pleasant, very compatible chicks alone the next day. It also gives me a way to quarantine any bird(s) as needed. I attached chicken wire to the top keeping them safely protected from predators.

Cheap and effective tips
Thank u very much fo this medication.
I add a very small amount of food grade Diatamacius Earth to the food as a preventative measure for internal parasite and a bit in and under their coop to prevent fleas and ticks. A tiny bit of apple cider vinegar and honey to the water as it keeps their gut acidic🤙
Diatamaceous earth is good for detering mites too. Put some in an old wash liquid bottle or jar with holes in top and sprinkle over their bedding, and squirt in their warm places. Under wings, tail feathers an back of their necks. If they've been preening alot and pulling out or eating feathers they need heavier protein diet and will stop laying. I put them on strict diet for a week of chick pellets and they all grew back and were happy again.😊
my chicks have come down with Infectious bronchitis and I'm CURING them ..NOT TREATING them with 13ppm colloidal silver

I now have 3 chicken hens, but unfortunately they are not very strong. They have been treated with antibiotics for their airways 3 times in the last 3 months... We just keep them because we like the sight of a chicken running around in our garden, so killing them won't be an option as we are way to attatched to them. But I am looking for a list of herbs/natural products that I can give them, just to boost their immune system/ help them stay more healthy. To you happen to know a website where I can find that?
Thank you in advance!
Does the anti bacterial nature of the garlic and oregano not cancel out the good bacteria in the LAB? I only ask because I drink milk kefir and have been advised not to use honey to sweeten as it’s also antibacterial...oh yeah, honey! I almost exclusively use natural remedies on all my livestock, including homeopathic as well as essential oils, so much resistance to modern medicines, antibiotics, wormers etc. It’s not a common approach here in U.K. and home steading is still quite a small movement so I get a lot of my info from US sources, you are much further ahead of the game!
Yes you are right they would cancel the effect over time, I was just trying to show some different ways of helping them I should have explained that. I need to check under a microscope to really give a real answer, but I think it would take a while for the garlic and oregano to totally wipe out the LAB, they drink it up quickly. I asked on the KNF group on FB and they give nutrients like WCP, WCA, FPJ + LAB together and do natural antibiotic/viral in a separate waterer.
Hello, curios what you have growing on your coop? I like it and it looks like good shade?
Its called passion fruit in Trinidad and Tobago
I have 2 chickens that have bubbles around their eyes but act ok. What causes that?
I have a very sick chicken. I’m going to download a video for you to look at her and hopefully you can help me cure it.
Totally off subject...but you have great eyelashes
I noticed that your hen has a VERY small comb compared to the others in your flock. Is that a concern? I have have a hen with a comb like that and I worry that the others are bullying her. What do you think?
Side note, love the brows ❤❤❤❤
I culled 1 bird. I don't do it anymore. My husband and son do. (My son is a grown man, so no... Hes not too young. Lol) If we determine its too bad, we cull. Otherwise, healing is best, for us. Again, depending on what is wrong. Some things spread even if the chicken that was originally sick, is better.
This is wonderful
I want to make market garden like you in next year and also thinking about geting poultry, but its hard to decide for me should I keep chickens or ducks. Ducks are healthier than chickens, their eggs are better. But chickens can made compost fast and don't need so much water. Ducks can use a bathtub as a swimming pool, and they will poop there, so water from that bath tub will be excellent for fertigation.
From the other hand ducks will eat slugs. Salad green also, so free ranging in beds is not a good option.
Hard to decide.
Justin Rhodes know a lot about chickens but I think that you already know his channel.
Cheers mate.
I'd say go with which eggs you can make more profit after all costs in your market if that's what the main purpose of them is. If it's for soil then I'd say chickens are better. Ducks are better for orchard systems in my opinion. Free ranging in the garden is not an option.
@@NaturesAlwaysRight thanks mate I finally decided. I will have mixed chicken flock for color eggs for market.
I had a baby polish that was super lethargic and wouldn’t react when I put my hand close to her
Totally appreciate your approach to the necessity of sometimes culling. And you're absolutely right- these are your animals and you're raising them in the best way. They ARE farm animals... not pets
