I stayed up for the new track by Ren, I live in West Australia, so it was like 3am, when Ren said going live on Twitch for a chat, I knew I had to be there. Signed up, so now im a Twitcher lol. Very late to bed but was so worth it.
Was so moving seeing Ren get emotional at the Reactors who got onto his new track straight up. He was blown away. Such an awesome young man. Was a lot of fun.
I was teaching last night so I missed the Twitch stream (I used to stream on there daily during lockdown…I should do it again)
I caught a very short clip where he’s overwhelmed by all the reactors. :)
What did I miss?
@@michaelgoyettemusic one of the things he said is that he’s not going to explain the pig. He likes peoples different interpretations. (That being said, there’s a hint on the about section of his website.)
He also talked about different possible collaborations with different artists. Chat asked him to collaborate with NF. He said he’d be up for it.
He also showed us the guitar he got from the Verve musician. And he showed off one of his dolls.
It was so much fun.

I've Watched several Times ,Absolutely Brilliant, FANTASTIC, Can you do this I can't ! I can beat the skins but this is a Whole Level above.
I had a show on Twitch last year where I live looped improvised songs on the spot…..drums bass guitar and then I’d make the lyrics from looking at what the chat was talking about…..a lot of my non reaction vids are clipped from those. Keep beating those skins!!!

I Love this, Liv has a Beautiful voice, i also love how Ren is just enjoying himself making music with his friend, its not perfect, Ren is improvising playing a wrong note here and there but just having fun

It always appears to me that Ren creates music on the fly, he just gets into it and just goes with the flow at the time. It's all good to me. :)

You're definitely the first reactor to check these out, be interesting to see if the others follow your lead.
My numbers on this one are similar to other more popular source vids…..so it’s possible another reactor might notice and a snowball effect could happen……she deserves the attention so let’s hope!! :) cheers.

Wow you're down in the Ren weeds now! I love this performance. I cant make out some of Liv's lyrics but it doesnt matter to me because I still am moved by her tone. It looks like so much fun to me, I can play guitar a little but not freely and just vibe and have fun with it like this. And to me the added bonus is Ren breaking into Hotstepper was so sweet. Glad you did a reaction to this! Thank You!

I just read thrumost of the comments. Everybody is being so nice, as we all should be . But as far as a jam between 2 professional musicians, it's got some really rough patches. Maybe it was just my feed, but eventually the sound and picture got way off and then it cut out. I think they were having some technical issues. Anyway, I hope Ren finally gets his music out to the masses. I have heard dozens if not hundreds how obsessed they had gotten after just one listen the same thing happened to me but I crawled out of the rabbit hole last week. Still love his music and many of the artists suggested to me due to Ren's music. Sometimes I have noticed that videos that give the impression of being live might have been pre recorded for clarity and/or other reasons.

It sounds to me like you went too hard on Ren content and burned yourself out….that happens…..take a break from it and come back if and when you’re ready. I hope that helps. There are many other great artists to listen to as well. ❤️

Yo! I'm so glad you got to the live stream action, where everything is live... I think. Anyway, the stream with Roman is great, too . Is Romans guitar a Gretch? My brother had a Country Gentleman ( he became friends with and played a time or two with his hero, Chet Atkins) and it looked similar. Not as flashy, tho. I guess this is a stripped down model for better aerodynamic riffing .. just talking stupid.
I went down the Ren rabbit hole for about 3 weeks. When I finally came up for air and sunshine, I was in the verge of throwing in the towel to this most diverse and talented lad.
Luckily I started rewatching these extra live jams instead of just letting them run in the background . I caught things that were amazing. So spontaneous. I think that is a big part of his success. He's unparalleled at making it look as good as it sounds . He always enjoying the moment. That is endearing to people

@@michaelgoyettemusic My standard reply is that I have plenty of room for improvement. But as I am nearly 70 there is no sign or likelihood of any.
Recently there has been a shift to people here in the UK being more aware of the fact that not everyone is OK all the time. A bit less stiff upper lip than is traditional. That is one of the amazing things about Ren and Hi Ren, it gets the whole subject out there. Bye for now! Keep reacting.

I use the term bad notes to refer to notes outside of the diatonic scale that the chords all belonged to…..that’s not to say they sound bad….I’ll try to be more clear about stuff like that…..it was awesome. Cheers yo. :)

Great reaction Michael, now that you’ve delved into Ren’s live streams, you should look at the one he did with Romain. If you start it at 22 mins in, you’ll see a brilliant little improv song about ‘stones in your pocket’ and then a big push song ‘it’s alright’. Romain and REN live in the same apartment so that probably was Romains’ guitar!

Liv's equipment didn't get stolen. This is a direct quote from her GoFundMe campaign: "My studio interface and mic was on lend, and my guitars slowly bust itself and isnt able to play anymore. I also don't have speakers to mix songs, or playback what I make, so my home studio is in pieces atm and is very limited."

That’s so weird….I was just thinking about going to Brighton to investigate the busking scene there out for myself and shooting it all for UA-cam!! I just need to come up with the cash…..maybe a Renothon 10 hr Livestream or something? I’d definitely bring a guitar!! I want to do it!!! :)
@@michaelgoyettemusic I think you'd like the atmosphere in Brighton. It attracts musicians, comedians, artists, and is probably our most liberal and creative city. Every flavour of creative, eccentric, cool, and unusual can be found in Brighton. And because they encourage busking (it is a bit more restricted elsewhere though still common) they really do attract a lot of different acts. In the summer when there are more people milling about the buskers make more than they would elsewhere because the arts are valued that bit more. Obviously it's no utopia, but certainly has a colourful vibe.

Im learning eletric guitar, but I still dont understend how you get that bluesii guitar soud, its a pedal!??

Pedals can add to a sound but all you need is a guitar and amp…..most amps have a knob called GAIN. Turn that up to where if you hit the strings hard it sounds distorted but if you play softly it sounds clean….that’s the sweet spot for blues. Cheers. The thing you were pointing at on Ren's guitar is the pick up selector switch.
