    Nice install and explanation. Oh and kudos on the "safety squints" reference. 😁

      @@nwctuning 🙂 Just noticed you have EUDM clear indicators rear lights. Don't see them too often.

      @@nwctuning Forgot the Aussies got them too. Maybe the Mighty Car Mods lads riding around on kangaroos can see them more clearly? 😁
      I think they look more 'modern' for some reason. I got mine from a local originally Irish sold one that the owner, overestimating his talent, as usual, ended up upside down in a ditch, calling for his ma and wetting himself(he now drives a Volvo estate...). Him fine thank god, car looked like it had been dug out of godzilla's footprint. Lights OK. Result.
      Kinda crazy how each market got different, sometimes very different bits and bobs like that. The USDM got a bit of a cut down model, minus recaros, momo steering wheel, but gained a centre console and a plastic tray on the rear seats, a slightly detuned engine and oddly JDM EK9 Civic Type R wheels. Canadians for some reason had an option of red rear seats too. Japan got yellow recaros and yellow stitching, but again oddly the Swiss also got a run of 100 cars that looked like the USDM/EUDM but also with yellow recaros. My JDM is silver, a colour not available outside Japan. Before the 'world car' concept i suppose. No wonder Honda lost money on each one sold...
      Still, it means endless ways to make it a little different and OEM. a few years ago i got a USDM centre console with blank acura badge. Looks great. Then i realised why they weren't offered with the recaros; the seat adjuster is a now a pig to get to. Meh, let's face it, we petrolheads are mad, and that's a good thing. 😄
      TL;DR?(good idea😄)good vid, Subbed.

      @@nwctuning Fair play, pass on the love of Teg. 🙂 IIRC it's an easy swap too, though also IIRC you need different wheels with more clearance as the 96 spec wheels don't quite clear. And maybe different brake discs? To be fair I've a brain like a sieve so that 'advice' might be best ignored. 😁

      @@MrGrentch nah I think you’re correct bro. 96 spec ITR is 4x114.3 and the wheels are 15 inch and the rotors are 10.2 inches if I’m not mistaken. As opposed to 98 spec, they’re 5x114.3 with a 16 inch wheel and a 11 inch rotor 🙂

      @@nwctuning Good God sir, I may be correct? I can't possibly be correct. I may have to lay down now.😁
      That said I run a 98 Spec JDM that came with 16's, but because of local Irish roads that are pothole rich and more tyre choices I got a set of 15 EUDM's and they run fine with plenty of clearance on the 98 spec calipers and discs. Then again both USDM, EUDM and AUDM models came with 15's as standard with the same brakes so...

    Are you required to run a 5mm spacer with the 98 spec wheels and spoon calipers or is it plug n play?

    • @nwctuning
      @nwctuning  8 місяців тому +1

      Yeah you need a spacer. I run an 8mm spacer. Other wise the spokes hit the face of the caliper.

      Appreciate the info and video. With the 8mm spacer how’s the stud length? Is stock okay or you recommend going to an extended stud?
