Shadow of the Tomb Raider is an action-adventure video game developed by Eidos Montréal in conjunction with Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix. It continues the narrative from the 2015 game Rise of the Tomb Raider and is the twelfth mainline entry in the Tomb Raider series. The game was released worldwide on 14 September 2018 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a further release on macOS and Linux set for 2019.
Set shortly after the events of Rise of the Tomb Raider, its story follows Lara Croft as she ventures through the tropical regions of the Americas to the legendary city Paititi, battling the paramilitary organization Trinity and racing to stop a Mayan apocalypse she has unleashed. Lara must traverse the environment and combat enemies with firearms and stealth as she explores semi-open hubs. In these hubs she can raid challenge tombs to unlock new rewards, complete side missions, and scavenge for resources which can be used to craft useful materials.
Development began in 2015 following the completion of Rise of the Tomb Raider, lasting until July 2018. Shadow of the Tomb Raider was designed to conclude Lara's journey begun in the 2013 reboot, with a key theme being descent both through the jungle environment and into her personality. The setting and narrative was based on Mayan and Aztec mythologies, consulting historians to design the architecture and people of Paititi. The gameplay was adjusted based on both fan feedback and the wishes of Eidos Montréal, incorporating swimming and grappling while increasing difficulty tailoring. Camilla Luddington returned to provide voice and motion-capture work for Lara.

It’s not Lara’s fault that she’s a danger magnet.
This was quite exciting! I liked the new tomb concepts so far, and I like the upgrading system for weapons and skills. Familiar, but still new enough to seem exciting. Your ability to memorize the routing for such a long video, espicially with no little mini-map in what for the most part seemed very open and vast to me is amazing. Story-line wise..the only thing i'm stuck on is..why didn't the jaguar just..eat her. She kills one..and the other is like "whatever, i'll eat him instead" and wanders off..dun get it. Seems..silly. :/
Yeah, it's silly. Also the scene at the end, when the jaguar attacks Lara from the back, it almost seems like the jaguar just wants to play with her, not to kill her :p

Lara starts the apocalypse and have no psychological impact whatsoever, i guess its just her way to cope, care about something else.

I hated the skill tree menu in this game. I didn’t mind them in the previous 2 never understood what the point in changing it was.

Poor Lara Since the first reboot it has taken more punch than punching bag.
Why they removed dirt from body!? It's adding depth to character. Looks stupid when Lara in cut scene whole in mud and second later completely clean.

I gotta admit that was a scary scene with the jaguar it got angry but luckily it went with the other one and boy did it look menacing when it got close to Lara that was so scary to me damn.

Looking at that skill table, I have to ask: are you playing this as a New Game Plus? That’s the only way I can see you having so many skills already. Same for some of the equipment.

I think I had some skills unlocked from the start as a pre-order bonus or something like that. Maybe try to farm some animals in the jungle to gain more XP.

So I think I might have worked that maybe challenge tombs from dlc give you skills that count in campaign can you remember if that’s it mate 👍
@@dalewatson81 it was a pre-order bonus that you can no longer buy selerately. It gave players 3 skills unlocked already. I'm in the same boat now as I can't unlock as per the video because I don't have the 3 already.

Jonah should have not been in the entirety of this game. He’s a great, all heart guy, Loyal to a fault. But Tomb of the raider is her life, Not yours.
Jonah is not present in large parts of the game later on.
