#2) My heart is full of Christ, not my head is full of theology! My heart is full of Christ and longs this glorious message to declare!
#3) You don't need know your Bible... You don't need to know the word of God, you need to know the God of the word!
#4) Where is the confrontation of the MEN OF GOD?
#5) Prayer grasps eternity. It doesn't demand a colossal intellect. It doesn't demand a vast vocabulary.
#6) Do you think you can find a Church on earth that fits into that pattern?
#7) We are boasting about something we don't have! ...It's Theology. It's a Phrase. It's a Technique.
#8) Do you know, in those revivals, never once was there an altar call? Do you know, when there's a revival you don't make an altar call?
#9) Listen, there isn't a Pentecostal Church in America today!
#10) There isn't a revivalist in America today... not one!
#11) No mention of the pew, it's all on the pulpit. Let the priests weep... Let them rend their hearts. Let them howl.
But where in God's Name do you get taught to howl in prayer?
#12) If you want to know how popular a Church is, go Sunday morning. If you want to know how popular the preacher is, go Sunday night. If you want to know how popular God is, go to the prayer meeting.
#13) Listen. Forget our seminaries! There's no anointing in them!
#14) Do you know what you do when you go to seminary? You get a swollen head and a shrunken heart.
#15) I say, if your preacher doesn't weep, you weep over the preacher!
#16) Tell me this, do you have a course on weeping for them? And if they graduate, do you have a course on howling?

If you had a son, unless you were yourself a sinner, would you approve of your son sinning and you showing your grace and your mercy on him to forgive him of his sin. There is always false pleasure in sinning, never any true joy. The only thing one can hope to inherit by birth is false wealth or money. True wealth as in virtue has to be earned by virtuous and meritorious deeds, which is why this transfer of anointing and unmerited favor of GOD is still not even right on the part of the GOD transferring his anointing. It is always cheap. There is certainly no evidence of it working, or being a permanent solution to the problem.

It's not the length prayers necessarilu but the substance of them and praying according to God's will that makes them effectual though.

A very convicting man. Many points to ponder. No wonder it’s a narrow gate and very few find it. Revival starts with us. We need to get ourselves right. Do I know God? Am I repentant? Do I have a big head and a small heart? How is my pray life? Bible reading?
Jesus didn't start his minister until he fasted 40 days, john baptist fasted first, Acts 13:1 - 5, no preacher on TV mentions fasting! Daniel 1 says Daniel refused to eat junk food. Fast & pray NOW while U have any freedom, economic disaster is eminent. Acts 14:22

I know what he meant in the video but the revelation of Christ comes through to us through the Holy Spirit AND Revelation through Holy Scripture.
Me personally coming from the Islamic faith it was my seeking to know God through the Bible that lead me to Him. Its not all black/white or one way. Gods ways are not our own...we cant put Him in a box. He is supreme He who is high above the earth and the heavens does as He please. Halleluyah! i love it that we can never predict Him and know His ways. He is the One true Omniscient Omnipotent and Omnipresent God.

Tears stole into the soft under-area of my eyes, some time back. A fairly new friend and I were standing in a dark parking lot after a meeting. Between draws off a cigarette we traded awarnesses and laments. In a general sense we spoke of things spiritual. He spoke of a god of his understanding. My thoughts were largely of Christ. My utterances were halting as I laboured silently to respect 12 step traditions, his beliefs, the purity of the Gospel and my fears. And all these competing thoughts happening as I desired to say something real and persuasive about Jesus, who I knew very little about. To explain, somehow, about this new Spirit inside that allowed me to see and embrace something of Holy God. Especially in the stench of my unholiness. And a Savior who died and rose, that I might be forgiven and reconciled. A spared soul.
Well, on that night all that came was a sheepish mumbling that, " I wish I could explain it to you, brother". So for what it was, there it is. And and as I told him that, my eyes partially filled and glossed over, wet. He noticed. We said goodbye. I pray he remembers.
I have tried to explain with finite words what was in my soul so infinite... I have always utterly failed.

Of course we need to know the scripture. I don't think he is saying to simply pray and never read your Bible. But, if we ONLY read the Bible but don't have an intimate relationship with God, what good does that do us? The devil knows the scripture. We have to know the scripture AND have a close walk with God, or knowing the scripture alone isn't going to take us to heaven. That's the point of this message, imho.

I havent pick up scripture in forever. As relationship with God isnt so shallow it would disappear if a book is removed from your life. The Modern Church needs massive help with this idolatry issue.
It doesn't matter what you sit & learn is right. It matters what you do. Faith isn't faith until it's active. What is active faith in Christ? Doing what the Spirit says is yea & Amen. Knowing the right thing but not doing it is not faith in Christ. The emphasis isn't on our works. The emphasis is on obeying the Gospel. Obeying the Gospel proves our faith. I'll quit "Bible thumping" when I'm dead and not before then. It's my calling and my purpose. Heretics can just choose to leave me alone if they don't like what I write. It's so simple but they still refuse to get it. Hell is full of their kind and that's where they'll end up too all the while claiming they're right and I'm wrong. When you refuse to be moved, when you refuse to accept the truth, when you refuse to live in wisdom, and do it you are not saved. God isn't going to force your will.
So you don't need to go to a church. You get to go.

It's taken from another sermon....which takes that sentence out of context. This video is a bunch of Leonard's words put together....that sentence was taken from another sermon, so if you listen to that sermon, it puts that sentence in it's proper context.

While, yes, the bible is of course a translation and is a written “word” of God, it is original scripture that is perfect and flawless. You, like the Church believe the bible is innerant while ignoring Matthew 5:22 is missing from KJV and errors exist in even KJV all the way to NIV. How you and the Church justify the doctrine that your translation with errors is the perfect Word of God, is done by ignoring evidence and by ignoring logic and understanding.
None of this puts into question or discredits the bible when fully and properly understood, as 700+ evidences support the scriptures.
The overall issue, is not the bible. The overall problem, is not minor issues in translation like a missing or added verse or english modern words like lust or homosexual describing ancient things that do not relate to the words.

Well the Pharisees knew the word and didn't know Christ when he stood right in front of them. The apostle Paul (Saul) knew the word. Was he not on the Sanhedrin council having to know all old testament scriptures in memory yet didn't know Christ in a right manner where he reverenced him in a rightful manner ( LORD what wilt thou have me to do!?) At my husband's seminary baccalaureate the speaker told the students to now use the Bible for more than just a textbook. I was shocked and quite disappointed. So many years of Bible study but never taught that the book is more than just a textbook. This is what Ravenhill is saying. So many go to seminary to get a job as a pastor. I know this to be true in 2019.
