A fantastic (complex) video. I, like many people, will be using the Streamer X in a more simple form. For me it will be to level up Zoom, and also to bring in a guest via phone to a simple (2 person) podcast. The video showed that I can do this, I just need to set up Unify. Thanks for the great video.
This was very helpful to understand. I agree that Unify looks more intuitive than Loopback, especially with sound mixer experience.
Absolutely love the channel, I think the stream made my day if I understand correctly, who is the beta version of unify for Mac I can run a XLR and it the rode wireless go 2 at the same time. Did I understand that correctly? If so, that’s a game changer once again thanks for a great channel. Keep up the great information.
Oh my god! Thank you! I was very angry that they not releasing a Mac version
Great explanation. So the monitor out can go to a Atem extreme if that is what you use to stream with?
Just wonder how Ruode Unify and Rodecasterpro II are fit together. With the Unigy I do ge 6 more audio entries available
Watching this I couldn’t help but think of this app on the iPad Pro. The layout looks like it would work well for that. Just thinking of the versatility for a smaller portable setup. If the iPad provides enough power out for the Streamer X there would be no need for power supply. With Magic Keyboard, there is a separate charge port for the iPad.
That is the problem of lot of companies, they make great software but damn you need that on tablet. Thats why I stay with my Presonous.
Can u make a video show us how to use Streamer X with Unify only for Ecamm + Zoom + Skype? What i want is interview 2 person at a time but they not using a same flatform. Hope u can help
Quick question. With those virtual audio channels are you able to assign those to a slider on the rodecaster pro 2? So I have a slider that can change my music volume, a slider that changes chat volume, one that changes game volume, one that changes browser volume, one that changes system sounds volume or something like that? Or are you not able to combine those two software?
Can you use Loopback and have one virtual mic for all the apps coming from the computer? Thanks!
can you use other usb mics with this
Wonder why in channel assignments you can’t put usb 1 there.
I use a Mac so hopefully the central and unify both work with Mac? Which software is better though?
Do you have a connectivity problem? I use mac mini M1 - Sreamer x disconnects every time the computer goes to sleep or shuts down and then I have to unplug the USB to plug it back in
I have not experienced any connectivity issues, excpet when I first had the streamer X and the Rodecaster Pro 2 was also plugged in, it seemed like I was dropping 2 of my Rodecaster channles, however it turned out that this was related to my Dock and when I plugged the Streamer X into a different external Dock (I have 2) the problem resolved. So perhaps see if you get a different result by plugging into an alternative port. That may help. :-)
Can you plug a USB mic into the second USB-C input? Providing two mic channels? Cheers, Peter
Please make the video how to run streamer X with unify for mac and make audio routing to ecamm live. Just wonder can Streamer X can do like i did on Rodecaster Pro 2: Main Stereo for Ecamm Live. Chat for Skype. Secondary for Facetime. So i can interview people at the sametime and they do not have echo on their end. I hope Streamer X and Unify for Mac can do the same.
I didnt catch how we assign channels input. I have not been able to get the audio to route to a specific channel
one cannot use the unify for mac ONLY? Must one use Streamer X? Also, how about with PodMic USB?
Is this the public beta or did you get early access? If you sign up now will they send this beta to anyone who wants it currently?
I did get early access to the Beta for this video however it is now publicly available if you sign up.
the microphone doesn't show up in discord!! anyone know why?
Not sure why there is a "Browser" option for Mac. Audio from Chrome (or any other browser for that matter) is only audible via the "System". . . Unless I'm missing something (please prove me wrong---I would love to separate my browser audio from system audio). The Windows version lets you assign audio FROM EACH TAB!!!
For those wondering, audio output is determined by the application. Most of the videos on UA-cam focus on the Windows version, which is far more intuitive. The sound settings on Mac OS don't give you audio control for each application like they do on Windows. Ecamm recognizes the inputs in Unify, so it's audio output can be assigned. Pretty sure Spotify and Discord do as well. So, for any application that doesn't allow control over where it's audio outputs, it will be routed to the "System". This could be problematic for anyone streaming using a browser . . . Thankfully, Ecamm runs independently of a browser, so it's not THAT big of a deal.
Thank you...I was about to return the Streamer X because I couldn't (this is my first time with these kind of equipments) make it work...your video didn't addressed the issue I was having but it clue me in where I was wrong...so thanks...and Rode should thank you.
