I have been buying the deer food plot cover crop mix. It is supposed to be high protein. Feeding goats, rabbits and geese. The escaped rabbit seems to love all the small sprouts hahahaha. 25 to 30 dollars a bale!?!? Goodness I feel blessed to be in Ohio. I wanted to see the goats enjoying the cover crop!
Animals as you mention, for the most part, will not eat anything that's toxic. They're smarter than us when it comes to that. Unless they're starved , they wont touch it.
Agree, I can probably rest easy, knowing they aren't going to kill themselves with poisonous plants. I guess the key would be making sure they have alternatives to eat.

How are you seeding it? I use a spring tooth harrow, because I'm too cheap to rent a seeder :)
