Man, I felt that. Proof of vaccination was the worst part of Lightfoot's administration and I left the city because of it. It was so pathetic. You couldn't go to Church, unless you showed your card. You could get take out, but not sit in a restaurant. I feel this man. If you had the wrong mask, restaurants would cancel orders. She politicized hospitality and institutionalized it. As a suburbanite, Chicago as a city was a love/hate relationship. You can't even get lost under Wacker Drive anymore with the potholes. It was nothing short of fascism.
Unfortunately all major cities are headed this way with the democratic party having everyone fooled in those areas, they have back people brainwashed into thinking trump hated them, and have them fooled into thinking they are the party that will help them. I'm not a citizen of Chicago, but Mr. Kelly spoke for me. This Mayor has had a devastating effect on the city and beyond. May the people there leave the Democrat machine of corruption, degradation, poverty, and oppression once and for all and taste freedom. At least they have one voice that challenged her. All the best to him in securing his credentials once again.

I grew up and raised my kids in Chicago. As a fourth generation Chicagoan, I was aware of, and was a 4 time victim of, the evils and dangers as early as the 80s. Pulled my kids out of public school in mid 80s, left city in 1990, and eventually left the state in 2003. Chicago will end up more like Detroit soon, and I hope I am far enough away in rural Indiana. Too bad, but you actually can't fight city hall after all.
