Clay also had a reputation of being a somewhat toxic teammate at points in his career. Probably more the reason he was always the odd man out when teams made changes. Always a fan favorite for his passion and dedication he really is a true legend of comp cod

it is crazy that every cod in the CDL so far has made one of the goats retire... during MW19 was Karma, after CW was Formal, after Vanguard was C6, during MW2 was Scump and now after MW3 is Clay
Frrr I hate the cod scene now. Why do they have to do this?? I been watching and be part of this community since the original mw2 and its sad these last four years after mw2 its just went downhill and ruined call of duty for good. The CDL is by far the worst idea ever created!! They should've increased the teams or orgs spots so more people like clay and crimsix could have the chance to compete and play and we wouldn't depend on the friendship league meta. The only thing that saved competitive call of duty are these legends and their personalities and bringing people like shotzzy and scrap and hydra into the scene. And the only thing that saved COD in the eyes of the public is warzone. Without warzone I definitely believe COD would've been like the old days and the game might not be as popular with warzone which can be like a double edge sword. (Maybe its good maybe its bad)
The last of what many consider to be the Mount Rushmore of COD (Crim, Scump, Karma, Clay) to retire. He will forever be a legend, and one of the greatest to do it, ever. Bravo!
Been rooting for this man since I first saw him compete in Black Ops 2. His retirement video was produced so well, but it was hard to watch still. I can’t believe its been over a decade. Thanks for sending him off in this way Rab, class act as usual and he deserves his flowers.
Man Clay congrats on the retirement, definitely a goat to the esports community. He’s one of the reason why I wanted or attempted to go pro or fell in love with competitive cod I should say. Definitely near and dear to my heart if I am being honest. lol
I was literally thinking about this today as im a big clayster fan and was just thinking it might just be time. Heck of a career he had and gl with whats next for Clay.
Its trulyyy trully a sad day to see clay step down but he deserves to retire and its amazing that i was able to watch it through out all the years truly amazing.
Clayster has undeniable longevity. He's been one of the most exciting players to watch in recent years. Personally the first event I watched was MW 2019 champs. Clayster has been an unforgettable player and I'm going to miss seeing him on the sticks.
Aside from the countless others he has influenced in the scene, Clay brought in Simp AND Hydra AND Shotzzy. He is the goat of finding and nurturing talent. What a career and I hope his future is bright!
Clayster has one of the best or theee bessttt pose in all of COD history. I will never forget when I made that my background!! With his arms wide open like the gladiator he is challenging the entire scene. That pose has infinite aura...Truly a goat up there with Crimsix!
WOW! Fcking insane times. I wanna sit here and say I didn’t see this coming but also the game is here and the season is basically starting soon and we all could guess clay wouldn’t play challengers so I guess this makes good sense considering where we’re at now with clay doing a couple desk jobs over the past couple seasons. I’d imagine he does some desk work till he lands somewhere he wants to be doing want to wants todo.. crazy dude has always been around and now he’s retired. Hopefully he does stay in the scene.
So sad to see Clay go. He had plenty of sprees where he would have a flash from the past. People were saying he was past his prime for a decade. He continued to have resurgences and thrive. Clay is a catalyst, if his team is good he is going to make them great. But if his team isn’t doing hot he is going to eat them. I think he could still play with the right group Scrap really reminds me of clay so to see him switch gears and say something nice on Clays way out is cool
SO gutted that Clay has gone, he was on the EU team and Denial team that dumped OpTic so many times, then when i hit 30 and he was still going i was rooting for him as a member of the old guard. True legend.
With the retirement of Clayster, can we please get the "All map fall spots brought to you by Clayster" the greatest to every do it, one facepalm at a time.... one of the Greatest without a doubt.
No! No! No! No! No! No!😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 Damnit man all the old heads are gone I'm actually really sad right now so I'm gonna smoke twice as much tonight just to cope with the sadess this causes ME 😢
Would be good if they did a hall of fame section every champs - I think some of those players deserve something in the books or maybe a trophy of some kind idk.
It's time for breaking point to come out with clayster story now! On another note I don't think anybody new in mw2 clay lost his sister and still went out there as long as he could insane. And tippable
It sucks to see legends hang it up but you can’t be the best forever our greats have to step down so these younger can step up! One of the best to ever do it. I’ll miss seeing clay jump off map lol
Not sure if my facts are right but i think Clay is one of the only one to win COD World Championship back to back when did he did in 2019 with EUnited and then 2020 with Dallas Empire. I haven't enjoyed watching cod mw3 and a lot of mw2. Ive been playing cod for 17 years, the last few haven't been enjoyable as the past. It's a combination of the games getting worse. But also, all my favorite players ever are now all retired. I guess I'm just an old head
Clay should coach Boston because that team really needs it more than any roster or maybe gentle mates. 4 teams left to be revealed and I really hope gentle mates and c9 with someone better than Nero and kremp we will have solid c9 team
Clay got d1cked around most of his career and still got 3 rings. A true legend
I get dicked around everyday but I still have no rings. And yes I’m gae

What a blessing to watch. An all time great. Can’t wait to see the future he has. Clayster is forever a name in cod history

@IAMNationX thank you.

The 5 best players of all time
It's been like slowly falling dominoes and it makes me depressed the last domino has fallen the Almighty clayster the epitome of Passion
It’s because the game are trash
The CDL era is at its downfall…
Clay will FOREVER be etched in competitive call of duty! He and the 4 OpTic dynasty players will always be synonymous with MLG/CWL/CDL
Never forget Clay's sniper clutch on Raid!
Id be lying if i said i didnt tear up watching clays announcement, absolute legend I wish him well
