I wish there was a drive in the UK to encourage adults to do this, as it's great exercise for lower & upper body. It's great if you're considering on going skiing, or hoping to in the future, or just as an alternative hobby. This has a lot of positive benefits for young & old.
For inline alpine skating, I thought it is a good substitution for keeping practice in summer as alternative to skiing. Once tried inline alpine skating. I could tell it is more difficult than skiing. Balancing on wheel is more difficult than balancing on skis. When alling on asphalt surface, it is much more pain than falling on snow🥴 Also it is hard to found coaching and instructors for teaching incline alpine skating too.
Is any ski manufacturer developing inline alpine skate technology? The skateboard manufacturers are way ahead of us. Check out the "surf - skate" boards. They have flex built in. Im so jealous.
You can use normal inline skates. Smaller rolls will enable shorter turn radii. Some skates also allow lifting the 1st and the last roll, which may help turning the skates more easily.
@@SeppoKeranen ive been doing it for 30 years. I can see that you are a ski racer so you know what it feels like for your skis to flex and rebound you forward. Skiing on Rollerblades feels like Skiing on DEAD skis. (Like the ones you throw away after 3 seasons) Please check the new technology in the "surf skate " boards that flex when you turn.
plant the poles on the turn, i had manufactures spexialized rubber ends of inline free styling sking with doen hill poles, 1cm diameter rugged rubber ends, interested let me know
Seppo,Do you know the name of the manufacturer of the slalom poles and the related metal baseplates?Great dry land training exercise!DenisAlameda, CaliforniaUSA
