@@MattOsborne-MrLeicaCom Hey, I was wondering if any of your viewers might want my Akara Labs 6-bit encoder. I no longer have any use for it. If you think they might, pls let me know and I'll send it to you
Hi Matt✌ Work paired with wonderful insights and inspiration, of course also due to the pictures👍👍Thank you for sharing and for taking along👌Obviously with a lot of fun you had. Knight Rider feeling and futuristic way and time with the truck, also definitely a great experience and exactly such experiences will not be forgotten👍In any case, you were granted. But the truck didn't look really off-road capable to me. But having the experience and savouring it is something👌fantastic video in Matt's style. Lg Anderl
Looks like it was designed on an etchersketch. Ben Horne is the man to watch for Zion.... 8x10 large format and (mostly) slide film, utilizing reflected light. Incredible photographer
I know exactly where you were! I live just north of Salt Lake and do a lot of landscape . Welcome to the west! Southern Utah gets all the attention but northern Utah is also stunning!
It looks like you had lots of fun! May I please ask what you thought of the feel or for want of a better word the "soul "of the lens rendering? I was looking to pick up the Q343 because i loev the focal length, but to my eye the rendering seems a bit too sharp? Or a bit sterile? Or is that just me? Having shot the q2, do you find it less so? Thanks so much as always for these fantastic vids and all your hard work.
Hi Declan, thanks. Yes it is a sharp look, more like a 50mm APO perhaps. I think the Q is more unique as it's wide but shallow. I'll share comparison photos in the part 2 video. I wouldn't buy one for my portraits but that's just me.
Thanks Jason! Yes some want more photoshoots, others want more other stuff so I try to keep everyone happy with some of each. More photoshoots soon, Hello from sessions in Poland.
You are the lad! I have been looking forward to your detailed impressions of the Q3 43 and now I have half of them. It seems that you, also, like the camera. I tend to think of it as a small X2D + XCD 55V. The micro-detail and micro-contrast are very good. The Panasonic patent lens and the Sony sensor work well together, tuned by the Trolls of Wetzlar. It looks like Leica hit this one out of the park. American breakfasts, yes. Eggs over easy, toast and coffee are safe. Biscuits and gravy are stellar. Check that out next time. I am really happy that you got out to see some of the wonderful scenery that we have. Yosemite and Big Trees are wonderful. Utah has a lot of great parks with just amazing scenery. I really wish that you could find the time, and resources, to come out for a couple of weeks to just ramble on your own and see what you like and shoot what interests you. That will happen. Your rise is as sure as biscuits, oops, scones. Thanks so much and all the best for your continuing success.
Thanks Sandy, yes it would be nice to revisit Utah with likeminded photographers one day to explore it properly. As you say it will need time and money so probably not yet! Yes part 2 coming soon, hopefully tomorrow night if I can.
@@MattOsborne-MrLeicaCom You are as dangerous as a dope peddler. I have been peeping at your CL reviews. CA for Yosemite, but it is awfully crowded, and Big Trees for the Sequoias, and all that is beautiful in CA. The SF Bay Area is gorgeous. A tip: summer there is mid-August to mid-September. Otherwise dress warmly at night. You will need some time for a break. A drive down CA 1 into Big Sur will cause you to burn up some film. Best wishes for your continuing growth and success. You old CL review is a fellow different from the fellow we now see. You are doing just great and good for you.
@@MattOsborne-MrLeicaCom Thanks so much for your reply. I have tried my area Leica store with no success. I can't seem to find one available for sale anywhere. I'll continue to look for one. Thanks also for your UA-cam videos. I always enjoy them.

wonder if this camera puts emoji on the photos automatically or i have to manually add them. i can't live without emoji, i never grew up 😄🤭😑😶😏🥴💗👌👌🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💪👀
I took my Q3 43 to China. It did a nice job documenting the night scenes and the Terra-cotta Warrior archaeological site in Xi’An and the Shanghai financial district, Did you completely bypass Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon? They’re stunning places and have quite different geology. Bryce is especially beautiful.
@@MattOsborne-MrLeicaCom Next time, you really should check them out. Bryce Canyon is especially impressive. Lots of photo opportunities from a distance and close up. Also, the range of light there is quite broad.
Great video, bar that 'origami' coffin You were travelling in ( one of the ugliest thing I have ever seen ). I wonder when I could get my hands on the Leica Q3 - 43.
What a road trip! The Cybertruck looks like fun. I previously owned the Q Typ 116 and enjoyed it with amazing results. The lens on the Q is wide and really I was after something with longer reach. Now the Q3 43 addresses that issue for me. I am more of a 50mm person and so I will check out the Q3 43 and see if ticks all the boxes for my photography style; I suspect it will. Thanks for a great video and how long did it take to charge the Cybertruck?
Thanks Rouben! You can fast charge the truck for 100+ miles pretty quick, time to stretch the legs or a coffee then go again. Yes the Q3 43 is exactly the same feel as the Qs just longer lens so I think it will be popular.

@MattOsborne-MrLeicaCom absolutely agree mate I love 50 but it's too tight for my general needs
