- Moments before the show of VUUR, the brand new band of Anneke van Giersbergen, we recorded a special 'TivoliVredenburg Unplugged' session with her in our Grote Zaal.
VUUR is the new band of Anneke van Giersbergen, the queen of Dutch metal. Her career started in the mid-1990s when she became the frontwoman of The Gathering, the metal band with which she quickly toured all over the world. In 2007 she went solo as Agua de Annique, then she took her own name again and now there is VUUR. With VUUR Van Giersbergen wants to explore the harder, progressive side of metal. The debut album In This Moment We Are Free - Cities is now available everywhere.

Als je dit ooit leest Anneke:
Knap neergezet. Kate's songs zijn eigenlijk niet te coveren. Iedereen gaat erop stuk. De enige manier is om er een eigen draai aan te geven, zoals Placebo deed.
Zoals jij dit doet/deed, tja, knap. Jouw versie is interessant, goed neergezet en van wat ik tot nu toe aan Kate covers heb gevonden, een van de weinige die er mag zijn.

Beetje te veel vibrato, maar toch een zeer strakke/originele cover. Het reffrein heeft nu ook wat meer folk-achtigs door het andere schema
