I was born in Harlem, right in Harlem Hospital, lived on 142nd and Lenox and 150th and 8th. My cousin got killed in the Dunbars in 2009, I knew Harlem would NEVER BE THE SAME. I'm a true NY'er but had to leave, won't return to live and barely go to visit. Here and there but not constant.

I didn't put my son out at 18 because I didn't want him to become someone else 's problem. He is now 30 years old, with no arrest record, not in the street, and is working taking care of his family the right way. So Ms. TEE, you are right.

I totally agree on everything said ms tee! We need structure in our communities which is the African American community! We must find a way for all of us to come together and defeat poverty and the killings of our young black men.

The killer wasn't a kid. He was 47. He was arguing with his mother over his vegan diet. Those cops died because he decided to get in his mother's face and argue with her about his diet preference. Last I checked, there's a Whole Foods on 125th. His mother asked that he come stay with her because she's recovering from surgery. Some "help" he was. How she didn't know he literally had an arsenal in his room is beyond me.
It's so sad.I feel for his mother. She has to live with this tragedy wishing she never made thaqt call. You got me laughing tho😂. Forget Wholefoods. there's a suppermarket 3 blocks down
That man had prior arrest…she has told him before don’t bring guns around…he had mental issues she knew …she was a high ranking correction officer…it doesn’t matter who you are where you from…parents must address the mental issues early on because most of the killings lately pushing women in the tracks killing the young lady on Burger King where done by people w/mental health…he brought that gun from wherever he was living and had a bigger rifle under the bed…these people can get guns faster than a library book…👑✌🏽💜😊

Yeah I agree with you, not all officers are bad, like not all black men are bad. This is one of the reasons why our black men are treated wrong. My only son is 29 years old. I have talked my self blue about handling himself properly in different situations so doesn't loose his life and to be careful about the company he keeps. Yep, parenting never stops.
