I'm a professional wedding photographer and always looking to speed up my workflow. After using Brilliance Ai and seeing it destroy my images so much really made me appreciate just how good Luminar Neo is. It really looks like it's hard to make an AI that looks at an image and figures out where it needs help, but the Enhance AI does a pretty good job. I've tried to make several of the same images look as good in the ON1 Max as it does in Neo and I just can't do it. It also takes me much longer in ON1 and I still can't make the image look as good as I can in Neo.

Hi Stacy ... then you've done what every photographer should do ... try out different tools and use the ones that give you the images you want. In the end, it's the photo that matters most.

Really like the interaction in develop for changing regions, and also having the option to use the layers as well

Scott, it seemed the image was slightly different in your beginning BAI video compared to this one. Both after you had just applied for BAI. In the beginning video, I felt the grass had a nice glow to it. In the intermediate it seemed flatter... all viewed on the same monitor.

A brilliant tutorial on Brilliance AI. I have been using ON1 2024 for a while but have learnt in this very concise and helpful video how to shortcut my Brilliance AI RAW edits in my workflow.
Question : At what stage in the workflow should I apply NoNoise AI please? I usually do it after zero 0-setting Structure in Locals, especially needed for Flora.

Generally speaking, early in your processing, if not the first thing.

      @@ScottDavenport Thanks Scott
      1) - When Brilliance AI applies NoNoise AI by default (when set in its Preferences) and my first edit step is Brilliance AI, doesn't that satisfy the good practice of applying NoNoise AI early? Or ideally should it be literally the first step before applying any Brilliance AI?
      2) - Do subsequent edits in the NoNoise AI palette override those done earlier by default in Brilliance AI? And do these edits simply update or do they increase the noise reduction?
      3) - If Brilliance AI is set to apply NoNoise AI by default (in its Preferences) it seems to include Micro Sharpening by default which I invariably want to zero set. I photograph railways, surfers, and wildlife and have Brilliance set to apply NoNoise at above ISO 800. In 99% of cases I need to zero set the Micro Sharpening in the NoNoise AI palette. How do I change its default to zero please? Micro Sharpening tends to make my subjects look over-sharpened and unrealistic!
Thanks for any help - I have numbered my questions to save you time and make your help/advice easier. Robin.

@@ScottDavenport, if I do NoNoise AI first thing Brilliance AI does not do any AI Locals such as Flora, Sky, etc.
Also, NoNoise automatically does Micro-sharpening which I always (99%) want set at 0 zero.
Therefore I do AI Brilliance first and then followed immediately by Develop > AI NoNoise. I am happy with the results.

Great I'll be downloading in a bit but should we uninstall 2023 first or doesn't it matter?

      You can keep 2023 installed.

When I downloaded 2024 it transferred my saved options over, so I wouldn't delete 2023 until you've at least got the new version up and running. I've kept both for the time being.
