- Visiting Raystown Lake is a great adventure in the winter. Now and the next few winters they draw down the lake for dam and dock repairs. During this time you can check out some neat features that are normally under water.
Come along with me as I explore a few areas. - Розваги
I grew up 40 minutes away from Raystown lake and this was always a trip or two every summer. I didn’t know about any of these sites!! Thank you for showing us and I never knew the water level got that low!! The old Brumbaugh house is a shame! I bet it was beautiful in its day!
Glad I got to bring you back there. So many awesome places at Raystown. Hopefully get to show more of Raystown later. Thanks for watching. 👍🙂🙏🌲🏕
Beautiful video and exploring the homestead. Very unique and interesting. Take care and we’ll see you next time 🤗🙏 and, Bob, you picked some nice spots 🤗
Thanks for watching. Wait til you see where Bob took me this week. One of the best hikes I've ever been on. Stay tuned 🙂👍🙏
Nice hike .Very interesting to see what's normaly covered with water .
The gulls must have been Rivergulls i think .
Was fun checking out these places. Must have been river gulls. Nice to see and hear them. Thanks for watching 👍🙂🙏
Very cool! We used to frequent Raystown Lake when I was younger, my stepfather used to always tell me stories about the town that was under the lake - it was always so interesting but also a bit haunting to think about! Nice to see some of the sights! Keep making memories & adventure on! ~Karen & Shannon WOY
Super unique and interesting video guys, great job. I have been to Trough Creek once and enjoyed it much, but never been down to Raystown Lake proper. So much to see!, hard to really know where to begin commenting. This had the feel of a bit of a documentary to it, great job Dave, Excellent!!! Personal favorite was the exploration of the old homestead.
Thanks Walt. Your name comes up on most of our outings. Know you would enjoy these adventures live. Hopefully get together this year for a good one somewhere👍🙂🙏
@@dayhikedave we certainly will get together its just a matter of timing and things. I want to be part of the team! It's my true genuine hope that all of us PA based nature and hiking UA-camrs can all work together, network, and support eachother, and hopefully we all grow together like a rising tide that lifts all boats! And really at the end of the day, I just want to hang out and go adventuring with like minded explorers such as yourself...
@@WALTERZOLNA agree. Well said.👍🏕
Raystown lake was one of the attractions we always went to as a family. I remember my Dad taking us there while they were building the dam.
Very cool. You should take a trip there again. I never knew there was so much there. I really enjoyed the Aich area. First time I was ever there. Really beautiful!
Wow! Nice video! So much to see there. I liked the waterfall and the balancing rock. Sure glad Bob didn't knock it over, or experience any slippage. I'm so glad you went back to Raystown to explore some more. Thanks guys! 🥾🌲🏞️📸😁👍
Thanks for asking us to go back. Was a great time. 🌲🐿🌳🌾🏞🕊🦆
My parents were born and raised in this area. Some of the video is familiar to me.
Sad what they did to this area originally. But it is a beautiful area to explore. So many cool spots to see. Thanks for watching and hop ed you join me on all my adventurers.👍🙂🙏
I have been to Raystown Lake several times, but never when it was drawn down. Interesting places! Thank you for the adventure, Dave and Bob. It was great!! Praying for you too.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Also thanks for the prayers.
We needed them on our last adventure it was long and exhausting. Indian peak coming soon.
buckets= fish habitat to attract crappies 🙂
Thanks for the reply. Thought it was something like that. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍🙂🙏
Very cool, that place is huge.
You could spend days there. Fun stuff. Thanks for watching 👍
Hi Dave, just found your channel, hitting that subscribe button so I can see more. We are into hiking around Pennsylvania too. This was really interesting to see all the hidden places after the lake was drawn down. Also, neat to see balanced rock at Trough Creek. Brings back memories of when my family and I camped there!
Thanks. Stay tuned. The trail I just did, posting this sunday if all goes well, was possibly the coolest hike I have done to date. So many ruins and an awesome climb to an overlook. Cant wait to post.
Yep, never seen raystown lake. Maybe some day. Sure looked beautiful.
So much to do and see there. Thanks for watching 👍🙂🙏
I checked with Purple Lizard Maps about the Lizard at Aitch the whole area is the Lizard including the lake and I agree with Purple Lizard
