  • Hi Everyone,
Welcome to Episode Four of my Japan Diaries! For this vlog, we will head to Japan’s countryside and then into the mountains to a small village called Kosuge. This experience was one of my favourite moments during the trip, as we discovered more of Japan’s culture and traditional dishes.
    Enjoy the video everyone!
    Lots of love,
    Alex xx

Your welcome to Japan. Your video is great. NIPPONIA sounds like a very nice place. I'm in Tokyo for 20 years, but I had never heard Kosuge Villeage. It's easy to go from Tokyo. I got the good spot. Thank you.

I'm planning to go back this August. How are the prices there, like for the food? I heard they charge tourists or foreigners differently now. Is that true?

That’s so exciting! 🎉 I’m jelly haha In comparison to my currency we found it quite cheap, we didn’t sense that we were charged extra for being a foreigner ☺️ hope that helps!

@@alexandramcmaster I'm a bitworried because I've seen in some Facebook groups that some establishments charge higher prices to foreign tourists than to Japanese locals, especially now that the yen is at its weakest. Btw, how's the weather? Is it super hot?

@@retrospectiveparty Hello! I'm living in Osaka. It is super hot now with rain sometimes. It is still the rainy season so expect it to be hotter. August is the worst almost every year. I heard Tokyo is worse than Osaka..

@@arizel06 planning to go back to Tokyo by late August or early September. I hope its not going to be too hot by then 🥲

@@retrospectiveparty unfortunately, it’s the hottest by then 🥲 It will start too cool down in October. Just prepare for the heat. There are cool stuff you can use in Japan to cool off.
