Chaotic Evil is chaotic chaotic. Nobody is like that though. Maybe Sam Niell when he comes back from hell in Event Horizon and I don't think even Aoife is that dangerous.
Ian is Chaotic Neutral. Whenever there is a decision, just roll a dice. You may have obsessions though, like snaffling. Chris is Lawful Neutral - love the reference to modrons - old school D&D. Aoeife - she tends to do good things for the party, but when aggrieved she can become quite irate, the guidelines for which are in her own head (chaotic). Johnny is Neutral Good with a mirroring personality (likes to make everyone happy), and so when dealing with Ian - the destructive/dark/mustache-twirling side of Johnny is brought out.
-Johnny is Neutral Good. He thinks good is achieved through compromise. -Chris is Lawful Neutral. Follows the rules, not to achieve good, but because they're there. Pretty much a modron. -Ian is Chaotic Neutral. Chaos for the lolz. -Aoife is Neutral Evil. Appeals to logic when convenient to get her own way. Shouts for it otherwise. She just speaks fluent Chaotic Evil. No insult intended to anyone.
After the line "Let's get down to business" I was fully expecting Aoife to burst out singing "too defeat the Huns" and I'm struggling with the fact she didn't
So, Demiaou is literally french for Of Meow. Which is to say, miaou is literally how meow is transliterated in french. Frog is grenouille. Which is not pronounced Grenwee, but could be derived.
Demiaou could also be translated as From Meow. Also, family names with "De" at the beginning usually indicates nobility. The name of the... cat (?), Rorgueil, contains "orgueil" which means "pride" in French. The name of the giraffe, Couline, is probably a pun with the name Coline and the word "cou" which means "neck" in French.
Fun Fact: "Lox" as a word for Salmon (smoked or otherwise) isn't just an American thing; it predates America. Moreover, it predates Britain, England, *English*, the language the pre-roman Britons spoke, the Roman Republic, Alexander The Great, and The Iliad. Lox is one of the only words in English that has gone completely unchanged in pronunciation and (mostly) unchanged in meaning from its original Proto-indo-European roots. Sure, the meaning has drifted a little to be slightly more specific to the kind of prepared salmon it refers to, but that's still kind of incredible. When people started calling salmon a word pronounced "l-o-x", the Bronze Age Collapse was a distant, unimaginably advanced future. Ancient Sumeria would have been like the fucking Jetsons to them.
I love LTTP episodes with these two. They're so interesting and entertaining to watch, even just the idle chatting, banter, jokes and remarks like "The aardvark attorneys would come first."
You are wrong Aoife, the kitty lady has her hands, or to be precise, her claws covered the whole chapter. Except during the flashback when she confess the crime. Therefore, there are no inconsistencies, no plot-holes, the game is perfect. I rest my case!
OBJECTIION! The Spanish kitty lady clearly has feet claws! I thereby reasonably infer that posh lion man may equally have such feet claws! At this point wavy lines should emerge from this comment allowing me to dramatically conclude that *there are no inconsistencies in this game* (except for the misplaced Spanish accents).
... So there's a... there's a game... where you play... as a bird lawyer. Learn something new every day! It probably makes sense if you don't think. EDIT: Holy shit this game actually looks amazing. I did NOT see that coming, but I need to get this now. You monsters.
The art is by J.J. Grandville. Herbert did most of his art in the 20th century, I believe. (Signed, the nerd who is currently the developer of the Castle Falkenstein RPG line) and I just got to the point where you realized the error. My apologies,
Voicing audiobooks for children? If you want to get into that sort of thing, you'll have to start on the bottom rung: narrating gaming fanfiction. Oh wait!
What do you mean, when a sparrow does it, it’s cute and when you do it, it’s annoying? It’s cute no matter who does it! Puns are the best! Never stop punning.
I was so into the recounting of lines from "Men in Tights" that I blurted out "Hey abbot!" almost in tandem with Aoife. I know it's a gaming channel, but you guys should really do a review of that movie or maybe just split the roles up and read through the script reenactment-style.
Falcon hell, that was excellent! Oh and Johnny is definitely Lawful Good (not that that's a bad thing), and I think Chris is too. Aoife and Ian are both Chaotic Good.
Orgueil can roughly be translated from French to "pride" in English. As in "being vain", that is. Pride also meaning a group of lions in English, there could be more than one layer on that wordplay. The added "R" at the beginning of the name sure makes it sound like a roar!
So, is Johnny Chiodini Lawful Good or not? Settle this one for us please.
Johnny is Neutral Good, Aoife is Chaotic Neutral.
Chaotic Evil is chaotic chaotic. Nobody is like that though. Maybe Sam Niell when he comes back from hell in Event Horizon and I don't think even Aoife is that dangerous.
I'd argue Chris is true neutral since he can be really cunning and manipulative when he wants.
Johnny is lawful good. Definitely.
Aoife is chaotic neutral
Ian is Chaotic Neutral. Whenever there is a decision, just roll a dice. You may have obsessions though, like snaffling. Chris is Lawful Neutral - love the reference to modrons - old school D&D. Hello I would like to report a murder
Solid!
After the line "Let's get down to business" I was fully expecting Aoife to burst out singing "too defeat the Huns" and I'm struggling with the fact she didn't
I DID TOO! When I went over it in the edit I was just “HOW DID I MISS THIS” - Aoife

Please make this game a let's play series!
The ladder/Step-ladder debate right from Phoenix Wright. I need this game so much!
You two never fail to quack me up!
Come on fellas, let's all make bird puns! At least toucan play this. Now it's your tern.
Oh dear, we're going to have to wing this, otherwise we'll just make a great tit of ourselves.
A comments section full of bird puns? I'll believe it wren I see it. I feel we may egret this.
Bird puns, eh... let's have a Gander.
Just like that, on the fly, i can't think of anythng..
Not sure I've got any good ones at the moment. Owl have to get back to you later.
I bought this game because of this damn video and I'm very pressed that there isn't a full dub of Aoife just yelling at everyone
I love LTTP episodes with these two. They're so interesting and entertaining to watch, even just the idle chatting, banter, jokes and remarks like "The aardvark attorneys would come first."
Speaking about Farthing Wood, I remember most how Mr and Mrs Hedgehog gave up on life just before getting hit by a lorry while everyone else watched.
23:32 “Gotta re-coop” Aoife is dead pleased with herself
You are wrong Aoife, the kitty lady has her hands, or to be precise, her claws covered the whole chapter. Except during the flashback when she confess the crime.
Therefore, there are no inconsistencies, no plot-holes, the game is perfect.
I rest my case!
SpydersByte oops sorry my english is not very good, I mean "her".
The game is still perfect, but maybe my days as an attorney are over.
Can we get DLC with all voice overs by Johnny and Aoife?
Capital suggestion. Capital!
Aoife just did a roundabout way of calling Johnny a hipster
Niki Sharp you mean, in this particular video...?
Johnny's smug face at 33:45 is too good to be true
"I need an adult"
Traumatic animal deaths in 'Farthing Wood?' What's 'Farthing Wood?'
(checks UA-cam)
OMFG!!!!!!!! My eyes!!!!!!!! My soul!!!!!!!!
"The Great Johnny Chiodini" would have to be a magician.
ILLUSIONIST!!!
Dan Williams :D
This is the best series.. Love Fridays :D
Charlie Kelly: Co counsel, background in bird law
As a New York Jewish man, I can confirm Loxley and Bagel is a very funny joke :)
As a NJ Episcojew, I can't imagine a world where that joke wasn't obvious.
OMG That scene in Farthing Wood where the hedghogs get run over... "Don't roll up dear!" 😢
Woooopaaaah, you just reminded me I have this in my giant horrible Steam backlog. I canardly wait to play (t)it.
* chants * LET'S PLAY LET'S PLAY LET'S PLAY
I take it Aoife isn't a fan of the birds with arms meme.
Anthropomorphic animals in general, tbh - Aoife
Inspector?! I barely know her!!
(can't believe Johnny didn't make this joke, I suppose he was too busy sitting on the amazing revalation)
Johnny and Aoife deserve to be on the stage with those impressive accents. First rate acting.
... So there's a... there's a game... where you play... as a bird lawyer. Learn something new every day! It probably makes sense if you don't think.
EDIT: Holy shit this game actually looks amazing. I did NOT see that coming, but I need to get this now. You monsters.
You can't be anything but Lawful Good after making a video like this.
The art is by J.J. Grandville. Herbert did most of his art in the 20th century, I believe. (Signed, the nerd who is currently the developer of the Castle Falkenstein RPG line) and I just got to the point where you realized the error. My apologies,
Just saying, did _no-one_ else notice the appropriate themes, from 'Carnival of the Animals' by Saint-Saens, for several characters?
A step-ladder vs ladder reference? I'm in.
I would love to see more of this if it were every up on the table.
Frickin’ accents now?!? Hilarious.
I nearly put my thumb through my phone I hit the like button so hard.
Mel Brooks creations are wonderful.
Voicing audiobooks for children? If you want to get into that sort of thing, you'll have to start on the bottom rung: narrating gaming fanfiction. Oh wait!
I feel like Aoife narrating "Get The Fuck To Bed", but "Log The Fuck In", or "Squad The Fuck Up" should be the team's 2018 Xmas card.
Aoife is one turtleneck sweater and bumbag away from a Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson impersonation.
Has anyone at Eurogamer not played Gunpoint? That could be a good Late to the Party.
This game needs a patch or a mod with Aoife doing all the voice acting.
28:42 - Music from The Carnival of the Animals, that bit with the lion. I like games with classical knowledge.
I have never heard of this game before but it looks brilliant!
The shrike is definitely the most metal bird, they build vlad the impaler style meat lockers out of thorn bushes.
Aviary Attorney a.k.a Charlie Kelly: The Video Game
I was a bit on the fence about this, but the puns won me over.
What do you mean, when a sparrow does it, it’s cute and when you do it, it’s annoying? It’s cute no matter who does it! Puns are the best! Never stop punning.
If Charlie Kelly could read, this would be his favourite game of all time!
It would be amazing if Aoife did the kids book voice for her character for the Eurogamer dnd game. And she should play a half-orc.
Lawful good Johnny, chaotic good Aoife. Ian, true neutral, Bratt, chaotic good. Zoe, lawful good.
This just makes me smile😁
One might say that Johnny's Robin Hoob fish and bagel chat is a bit of a... schmear
Your accents are adorable!
(not that I can pinpoint accents down to specific regions anyway)
Ian=chaotic neatral leaning towards chaotic evil? Chris=Lawful good. Johnny= Chaotic good. Aoiffe=Chaotic neutral I guess?
FotC reference is why Aoife rocks
I was so into the recounting of lines from "Men in Tights" that I blurted out "Hey abbot!" almost in tandem with Aoife. I know it's a gaming channel, but you guys should really do a review of that movie or maybe just split the roles up and read through the script reenactment-style.
I really am Late to the Party here but that was awesome!
Falcon hell, that was excellent! Oh and Johnny is definitely Lawful Good (not that that's a bad thing), and I think Chris is too. Aoife and Ian are both Chaotic Good.
I have watched this several dozen times since I found out about Eurogamer from oxbox dnd.
BOOK 'EM BIRDO
I was just describing how traumatised I was by the Butcher bird episode the other day, god that show did so much damage to me.
Johnny is too sarcastic for Lawful Good. I'd call him Chaotic Good.
Aoife is a solid Neutral.
The puns... the puns are so bad. I need an adult. Edit: I found significant enjoyment in Aoife and Johnny’s impersonations of different accents.
10:30 If you're really interested Aoife, you might like to look into *Librivox.org* and you Johnny.
I need to play this game now. I NEED TO
4:00 Is that Arlo Mayweather, Johnny?
Yes yes, I came from OX.
was i the only person who thought aoife's impression of the kangaroo sounded like something from el nombre?
Maybe it's a stretch but is Baron Rorgueil supposed to be pronounced roar-guy? Like the way a lion could be a roar-guy, a guy who roars?
Orgueil can roughly be translated from French to "pride" in English. As in "being vain", that is. Pride also meaning a group of lions in English, there could be more than one layer on that wordplay. The added "R" at the beginning of the name sure makes it sound like a roar!
Johnny is neutral good. Chris is lawful good. Ian is neutral evil. Aiofe is chaotic evil. That’s my understanding of them at least
Aoife is reason alone, to subscribe to this channel.
I too am a exhibiti- I mean completionist.
Law & Order: Animal Unit
This is all very similar to Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. But this setting is much... cleaner.
Also, I can't believe they let Robinio leave the court....surely he's considered a FLIGHT risk?? 😏
Bird law!
Johnny, is that new ink on your arm or have just not been paying attention for a while?
To be fair, it’s a small room and the camera/lights make it get very hot very quickly...
He has a tattoo for that
best birds on planet earth: Owls. Just accept it.
Aoife would be a unicorn!
Hahaha...it took me a couple stings, but I finally finished it.
I fucking *love* you guys. Game on. ;)
You're gonna continue this right?
Aoife what type of cup is that you are using there?
KeepCup - trying to cut out using disposable coffee cups and plastic water bottles so David Attenborough will be proud of me.
The cork's so nice on that one! I have it too and it's def my favourite cup. :)
Ah aoife has van goghs ear for accents
Is there a way to lose the trial without failing the game?
Did he say Abe Lincoln?
Hey Abbot!!!!!
gat san andreas next plz
