I am an indian...but i must confess that 2 W's partnership was made in heaven. Legends.
drprasannasuru im from Pakistan really & i love many of the Indian batsmen.... as a team its a great one. Best of Luck & enjoy cricket
Why do you have to write that you're from India I think supporting good cricket should be neutral and no need to specify your country
@@vishalv6157 absolutely right we are one that's why we should get on but it just isn't happening
drprasannasuru brother trust me when we used to see Sachin coming across the 2 w’s we sued to be like there goes a century. Sachin is Sachin
That is so true ... Waqar , Wasim and wicket has 3 W’s partnership... amazing bowlers ... still remember those days
Aussie fan here. Growing up I LOVED watching Wasim bowl. Amazing swing and pace, he also celebrated big time every wicket which I loved to see. Waqar was maybe the quieter assassin, less emotion and fanfare but brutal. Two great players, my favourite era in cricket.
I remember watching the 1992/93 tour of Pakistan to Australia. Wasim was bowling so fast to Mark Taylor that one of the LBW shouts the umpire tells him "couldn't see that one" and Wasim was just smiling. He probably bowled in the mid 150s then with a run-up of 10 steps. Shame there were no official speed guns installed on the ground at the time.
What a Bowling team, not the best of friends, but what they could do was amazing.the 99 Australian tour was the fastest they bowled, that was when Waqar Played. One of the Great combinations all over the cricket world.🇵🇰🏏
Yep!! the best pair ever.. Respect from India.
@@warandpeace5034 thanks love u bro..May God make india and pakistan best friends forever
They were basically the doctor of bowling.. They knew how to move ball.. They were magicians..
Wasim & Waqar were taught this art by the great Imran Khan. He personally groomed their bowling skills when they were unknown teens playing gully. But as any Legend, he saw through the "flaws" of the students, Imran immediately noticed there were diamonds hidden underneath these rocks. They had mistakes in their basic actions, so the PCB questioned Imran. But IK kept his foot down, and refused to accept coming out of retirment for WC until the PCB gave him the team he wanted, which were all these unexperienced "street" kids like Wasim, Waqar, Inzimam etc.. All became legends and most of them captains for their country later... Imran's influence is in their every move, he told Waqar to use longer run-up strides etc. because Waqar relied ALOT on rhythm. And noticed Wasim had a fluent wrist movement which made the ball swing with less effort, so he told Wasim to shorten his run-up. Their teacher is the secret. If it wasn't for Imran, they wouldn't have been professional players, Wasim didn't even play with cricket ball. just tape ball. IK taught them to swing and to read batsmen, in the beginning he literally told them which delivery to bowl according to how the batsman was behaving... The unsung hero, Prime Minister now. Imran Khan. He came fom being a "rejected" cricker himself, and now will be having meeting with the President of the United States, Donald Trump.. Always writing history, the "cornered tiger", Imran Khan.
sarfraz nawaz was the original master of reverse swing which imran khan mastered it then passed it to wasim waqar really reverse swing was invented by the great pakistanis cricket world should take a bow on there accomplishment.
i just dont see how Wasim generated that kind of pace with the action he had, which is not very open chested also with that short run up. Hats off
Wasim said in one of the interviews that : He used to bowl 4-6 hours daily in nets which he doesn’t see in present day bowlers. Practice makes your perfect. They both were smartest chaps with the ball.
I think it was all about the release. Nice easy gradual run up, and then he'd just give it all in that delivery stride. It's all about putting your back into it, as they would say.
I think another similar or surprising bowler who could generate loads of pace was Ajit Agarker. Short, slim, not the fastest or longest run up, but that action and delivery stride 👏
Pakistan have produce the best bowlers,
India have produce the best batsmen,
Respect for both countries.

Ohhh god. Where are these pacers now. That was actually the best era for bowlers.
Now you will see One or two good pacer. And back then every Nation had their best pacers playing.

Wasim & Waqar a golden period of cricket history. Wasim u made many of us cry “ those were the days” 😭
These 2 running up to ball to you and Mike Tyson walking into the ring. FEAR FACTOR!!
That's why I loved my childhood days when I got to watch quality cricket because of such great pairs. The duo of Wasim n Waqar was one of the most destructive pair the work of cricket has ever seen.
that shows how much fun cricket was at that time..pakistan had best bowlers and whenever it was ind vs pak, we prayed that sachin n ganguly get out asap bcz they were match winner batsmen...... cricket can never be that good.-1985 to 2000 specially
The day I saw Waqar and Wasim take on Kurtley Ambrose and Courtney Walsh.. Epic
like wasim said those were the days.......incredible.
yup bro agreed.........i think the greatest ever chance of pakistan winning the world cup again was in 1999......all our differences aside but here in india we really wanted to see pakistan beat australia and win that worldcup but you guys messed it up like we did in 2003.......hahaha.....i want to see australia lose and that to badly in a worldcup final......
@@iamank cant believe we lost that match. pakistan was probably the best team in the world then.

Wasim & Waqar
Walsh & Ambrose
Probably the most dangerous deadly combo ever 😎
I read this somewhere for Waqar Younis - " the agression with which he runs at you with a ball in hand, used to threaten us" said by some Englishman.
and I reckon that. That's respect!!
th hair on my arm stood as he said"we really had a ball....those were the days"
'Those were the days'- Wasim Akram.... yup .. I kinda cried a little at the end
Now we are thirsty for that talent May ALLAH KAREEM BLESS US the same again n again
Waqar all the way! without doubt the king of reverse swing and pure aggression in his runup. Rightly said by Wasim those were the Days and I would add those were the days when "Cricket was Cricket"
best days for world cricket.
Bowler was good and batsman also very which were plying these bowler
Arun Singh
Absolutely my young days school days in dd national I saw them running destroying the batting of india westindies south Africa england australia swing
Reverse swing yorker bouncer contrast swing pace the celebration of majestic fast bowling on dead pitches of subcontinent they have dominated torched the batting
Legends without nationality.. treasure of subcontinent..I am from India and I loved them !!!
2:10 look at the field set by waqar😮😮 confidence 💯
These two were the reason I love cricket
when wasim akram says "those were the days"felt goosebumps.
They weren't just effective, they were very very exciting to watch. They were magicians in operation.
At his peak, Waqar was the fastest bowler of his time, with Wasim being amongst the fastest. And to be able to generate swing and late reverse swing; that was deadly for any batting combination.
Seriously This Duo Was Made In Heaven 😍
Wasim Waqar 🙏
Legend's And My Favorites Since I Started Watching Cricket 😊
Long Live Wasim & WaqaR Bhai
Legends!! I don't think any such pair can ever be there in future... One can even have 3 top batsmen but it's a rarity of have such a bowling duo from one side..
Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif but they got destroyed thanks to the board/team corruption...
Shashwat Gupta i think west indies had..i mean Michael holding...anti Robert..joal gorner..Malcolm Marshall....courtny Walsh..Ambrose
Shakir Sohail lol wasim and waqar are better than all of the players you mentioned.
Unarguably the best.. and also my favorite. Waseem I love the most being the left arm fast bowler myself for my club. I'm now 40 and I still play cricket and bowl left arm over the wicket.
The talent, skill and the excitement that these 2 legends generated is unparalleled. Even today I being a cricket buff whenever I see videos of the bygone golden era of cricket, if it is bowling 80% of the time it will invariably be Wasim and Waqar. Do not think any bowling pair can ever be more destructive, skillfull or charismatic
Iam Indian, I love both to the core of my heart, Waqar at peak better than Wasim, both are once in a lifetime bowler, Overall Wasim wins over Waqar, because of his Skill, TalentEven after 100 years, I don't think bowler like Wasim Waqar won't born again
Harish Shetty sir Harish words are just words. And yes you’re right. Lakin Shoaib was the one who terroraized the batsmen in his own way. Akhtar didn’t have the skill like the 2 W’s but still
@@ranahasan24 True, Asif really was a magician too .. such a shame, bowlers like these are an asset to cricket worldwide. Lets hope we can see another such in our lifetime

Waqar & wasim
Ambrose, Walsh & Bishop
Donald & Divilliars
McGrath & Gillispie

Really those were d days...
Off the debate. Oh u reminded me of Fannie deviliers. That man really hated to allow any run in his over. His economy is perhaps less than 2 or 3 perhaps.someone may correct me.
I am from India..but akram is my favourite...he was a joy to watch..amazing
Great players always respected both .
From Vasai , India
They got legends like Wasim, waqar, shoaib then they got aamir and aasif legends in making bt.....
Lalit bhai Asif and Amir chose their path they brought the team and nation down. Along with that they deprived world cricket of the skill and competition
waqar and wasim are greatest ever ,,,,, shoaib akhtar was a great talent ,,,,,,,,,, but now missing these kind of bowlers in pakistan team,,,,,,,,pakistan team was best when waqar wasim were playing ........respect from punjab(india)
SINGH waqar and wasim were extraordinary, they were great
Akhtar was good but thats about it
He wasnt great
He was good
Yup now we have Aamir, Hassan Ali and Shinwari. NOBODY CAN EQUAL THE Ws but at least we can have 1% of them. That will be enough.
Have never seen more dangerous pair of bowlers with such a deadly combination than these two. Respect!
Those last words were from wasim's heart.
Its been almost 19 years since wasim akram retired from international cricket but I haven't seen a bowler like him till now and i think will never see , he is some serious talent one word "Legend"
"Those were the days" -- that sums it up rather eloquently.
Donald & Pollock, Ambrose and Walsh, Vaas and Murali, McGrath and Warne, Heath Streak and Olonga, our own Srinath & Kumble, Waqar and Wasim..! Wow any batter would have jitters to face these greats..it was pure show of Brilliance those days! ❤️
Well these were the bowlers who would always be called the ALL TIME GREATS
Wasim prolly the greatest artist with the ball in hand.love from Nepal!!💞💞

The two W's. Unbreakable Partnership forever
Still my fav bowling pair..none can ever replace them ❤️
All time favorites.. Always I used to say them Dangerous W's ...Love & Respect from INDIA
Miss the days of Wasim. My favorite pace bowler. Very nostalgic when he says those were the days.
For me cricket got over once IPL started. Earlier used to follow every ball. Now I dont even know which matches are going on.
Miss the cricket I loved.

Legeng's are not born they made themselfs legend by work hard & dedication.True legend's from Pakistan.
My most favourite fast bowlers. This pair without any doubt is the most destructive fast bowling pair in the history of cricket. A joy to watch such high quality bowling. I was fortunate to see their bowling strating 1992-1993. Magicians. Respect from an Indian.
Wasim Bhai... Really fida hogaya... such a wonderful snd so down to earth person and his speech..... And such a lovely human being...
The best bowling combination ever , very difficult now to find out this combination.
big fan of them but more than that how they kept them so lethal for so long.their cricketing intellect n hunger to improve was second to none.really proud of them that they belong to my homeland.
No doubt about that Wasim and Waqar world best bowling attack in cricket history. Thay are excellent 2w the men of fast bowling kings
I wasn't born in an era where I can watch Malcolm Marshall and Michael Holding bowl, but I have seen Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis...and I am fortunate for that!!
Wasim Waqar & Ambrose Walsh.
These were the two destructive pair of bowlers which rattled any opponent of batsmen in the 90s and late 80s era!!!
No doubt
These 2 were the best with bowl.
Waqar was simply amazing with his yorkers
Wasim was amazing with his swing
In india they still have huge fan following n probably will always have

Waqar and Wasim Bhai....we miss those days... growing up watching you....lots n lots of love and respect From INDIA
im indian but fan of pakistan legend trio
Sir Wasim Akram
Sir Waqar younis
Sir Shoaib Akhtar
History of cricket might be incomplete without Wasim and Waqar. They were like F16 and Mairaj. Speed, thrill and agression. They born to scare batsmans. After departure of Wasim I never saw a bowler like him.
Missing old days of cricket when Wasim was Captain.
No body can be better than waqar bhai and akram bhai..
Love you from india..
Best bowler of world cricket..
No body never can be replaced by this two rawalpindhi express..
Waqar was kinda my childhood hero before i grew old enough to understand the rivalry with pakistan. during 93-95 the 3 years when he was at his peak his reverse swing was unplayable then injury happened and he was pretty above avg in 96 wc and beyond . was sad to see him being a bench warmer in the 99 wc when wasim , shoaib, razaq and azhar mahmood made sure he hardly got a chance . then he gave a comeback as a captain in 2003 wc and ended his career on a decent note. no bowler can reverse the swing the ball like waqar in the future as umpires take the ball away during the drinks breaks which was crucial for imran , wasim and waqar those days.
Those where the days , this one lines says how good cricket was played then !
"Those were the days"
Indian fan of waqar and akram pair
Hated it when they bowled out india though 😛
These are not the bowlers they are the magicians with the ball,,,,,, a huge respect and love from an Indian fan 🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝

The way this video ends with Wasim saying 'Those were the days' with that smile always gets me ! Really, that era had a different feel. Today's era has no such partnerships or even rivalry which could be cherished.
