That's ridiculous, he's going to lay off for two years and come back to fight when he can barely sell a fight to begin with. So, he's going to come back to fight who? He's not fighting anyone at 47 or 54 because he will get killed. He's definitely not beating Ryan in rematch I don't care if he used PED's or didn't. What he should do is take Bob Arums offer, relinquish WBC and fight Teofimo for the WBO junior welterweight title and move on from Ryan. If he takes a two-year layoff He's finished! He needs to let go of his pride and suck it up. If he doesn't come to terms with the fact that he is no longer an undefeated fighter, he will never be great. He might as well retire for good. Bob Arum just offered him a way to save his career, he doesn't have any other options at this point.

How can a boxer retire or take two years off and still be the champion and have the belts??? For example a champion would have to fight once every six months or they’d be stripped of the title and belts.
