Love your candor along with science and professionalism. Best advice I retained by listening: BLE causes a change in your identity; it’s not a restrictive diet. I don’t eat carbs, rather than I can’t have carbs. Thank you- down 46 lbs 9 months now.

Before BLE I thought about food all the time because I was starving all the time. Now I eat and pack my meals so I don't have to think about food until I sit down to eat. I loved your book. This has totally changed my life. I love your blogs they are so well recorded and I can hear them very clearly. Thank you for your contribution to the world. It's great!

Also what about metabolism changes as we age? We are bound to gain weight because of that right? Or do we then eat less to maintain what we think is a right size body? When does cross the line into a pathological relationship with food and weight?
I know I ask lots of questions but I come from a bulimia anorexia back ground and never want to go there again. I want to get sugar and flour out of my diet and other goods that cause issues yet I am trying to not get sick again with obsession and don't know how to put a bright line round food with doing that.

What do you think of childhood trauma and food sensitivity? Could it be that trauma creates the issue and healing the trauma would heal the food sensitivity and addictive response? Would it then make more sense to relearn how to eat all foods in moderation rather than restrict which can lead to binging?

I went through abuse as a child...I know that I may have used weight as a means to keep men away. I am sure of it. I went through years of therapy to realize that. But I did not want to be Fat. With BLE, I love my body...and have learned by therapy, to understand what I need to do to keep boundaries and stand up for Self !

I’m thinking of registering with the National weight control registry. I wonder if any Bright Lifers have done so. This is a great way to collect data.
