- Today we went to Adventure Island in Southend-on-Sea, England! We headed to the MEGACITY arcade and played some games to see if we could win enough tickets to win a prize. Join us as we explore this arcade!

Greetings from Southport in England, it's a fair way from Southend...
The cash casino cranes came out about 20 years ago on 50p play, the back 5 notes were £20 notes and the game was pure skill, weighted so it dropped straight as a die and would fit relatively comfortably.
I made a lot of money the year these came out, could always get a note off 3 or 4 plays.
The arcades then did various things to make them not skill, shortening the time, enlarging the grabber so it didn't fit, and breaking the stabilizers so they no longer dropped straight.
It was good while it lasted though.
If you had been here with your skills, you would of made thousands of pounds....
I go to adventure island a lot and I have played that plant v zombies game so I literally thought in my head “omg I sat on that chair!”
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but y’all are helping me through one of the most difficult times of my life. I love the wholesome, edge of your seat content. ❤️ The whole family watches now, AND we are about to drive 2 hours to go play!!! I guess I’m just saying thanks! Also, I wanna see where you keep the prizes SOOOOOPER BAD!
That was a claw of a good time out there! It is super cheap to play those coin pushers too and that mug! It has been chosen 😆😎

some arcade do use 10p machines but many don't go for them we really use the 2p machines cus you get 50 coins for £1 and for the 10p's you of get 10 of them for £1 many like to use 2p machines

I have just got home from going to Southend, I've been watching these videos for years and I wish I could have gone 3 years ago when you were both there....i had a great time at adventure island and then after the rides, I went to the arcades, it's the first time I've ever won on the 2p pushers 😁 I got 2 keyrings (key chains) and a small groot plushie for my mum. Most of the claw machines were so rigged, but had fun on all the games though only managed 920 tickets so saving those for next time I go, probably at the end of the month. It was a fantastic way to spend my birthday.
Thanks for these videos, always fun to watch and to have gone to a place and seen s9ne of the games you played are still there even 3 years later. There was one really fun game in the very first arcade right across from the amusement park, you had to climb inside a booth and you had plastic balls dropped on your head and you had to scoop them up and put them in a hole, dispite beating the high score, I was only awarded 50 tickets but, the prizes were fairly low the most expensive one was about 10,000 tickets.
Love you guys but you need to work on your 2p timing! It was painful to watch 🙈 Hope you make it further North to Skegness in the future! X

Oh that one game looked impossible!!! I would get too flustered with that time limit. :D Loved the coin pushers though! Grand opening date for our Dave & Buster's is set for November 4th. I am trying to convince my boss that I need that day off of work. :)

You're lucky you got the 75 Ticket voucher, usually the side holes are for owners to get any coins back as thier own payout.

Confused me for a moment when you said Adventure Island. As adults that have lived in the area all there lives still call it by its old name Peter Pans lol. Can't believe u was so close and I didn't know.

The side holes are "owner payout" holes, usually found in truck/rest stops. In the arcades they are usually blocked.
