I've never been able to justify a full aquarium controller to myself. However, having devices like the Vortec, Vectra, or Versa all automated and controllable through a single app has been a dam close second for me. The functionality has been superb. And I've always appreciated the build quality of Ecotech's hardware. It's a premium price tag, but I've always felt I've gotten my monies worth out of their equipment.
My only complaint about Mobius is that I must have location enabled on my phone, or I get a failure to connect error. And I always forget to enable location before launching it. Beyond that, I have no complaints and enjoy the level of function EcoTech allows for.
It is strange how some apps need location to work. I had the same thing with the heater controller. Refuses to pair with out location. Must be related to the phone architecture.
I like it and think it’s easy to use. The big problem is that devices refuse to connect to it. Causing me to have to power cycle. All new equipment bought this year. Love everything except the failure to connect.

Under troubleshooting > verify settings, run that. should fix any inconsistences.
I had this problem early on as well. I found that enabling location on my phone was the issue for me. As I regularly disable it.
Not having location enable while launching Mobius caused a failure in the software to launch and/or connect.
After I started enabling location before launching mobius, I have yet to have a failure to connect.
I'm not sure if this is your use case, but it can't hurt to pass that along.
@@dusk1947 I ran the troubleshooting as Deven suggested. 1 out of 4 connect. I also checked location and it’s enabled. I put a ticket in yesterday and haven’t heard back. So many people including myself have this same issue. That is the big knock on Mobius. I was going to buy the versa dosing pumps but couldn’t find them at the time. So I went a different direction. Sooo glad I did! I would flip out if I had no access to them. Let’s see how support fixes this problem.
Thank you for the tips, I'm going to give your schedule a try on my tank which is 45cm top to bottom I run xr15 pro g5 with no diffuser what suggests schedule intensity be at currently set it to 22%

You can set up a schedule for feed mode through Mobius so it goes into the feed at the same time everyday? I wanna get a mp 40 and a mp10 for the NYOS opus 300 I'm gonna get.
Recently it was made accessible on request to have control over Aqua Illumination onto Mobius. Could you review step by step, I would love to be able to create much more with Mobius then My AI. The Cream on top would be able to communicate MP to Nero to create wave patterns.

I'm having trouble getting my vectra return pump on constant flow 24 hours. I can only get it for 23 hours and 15 minutes. It's for a uv sterilizer
Hey Devon - how do you setup a scene for Vortechs but not for vectra and radions? So I want to change flow only but keep lights and return on their default programming… thanks dude!
I believe you can Jsut deselect the stuff you don’t want. I know my powerhead off one I may have set the return to the same % it’s normally so it didn’t go wonky

Does this app only work when your near your tank, day 2 after setting up I’m at work tried to look at the app won’t load my lights or show support both spinning like it’s loading something

If you create a new scene and you drag the sliders you should see it change live
Mine shows but it won’t connect . It just says retry . And yes I already updated it

Hello, My Mobius app and Nero 7 device will not connect. I have tried several times. I had one account setup at first and now I cannot find it. How do I start all over?
How do you get your money back from ecotech because two of the three xr15s can't connect to Bluetooth after initial set up??
One cool thing that people may not know is that you can import an existing light schedule from the AI lights to the Radions.

@@ReefDudes Yup, I was getting fed up with how unintuitive it felt to set up the Radion schedule- that's when I accidentally found out I could just export for schedule from the AI app, and import it into Mobius.
HI can you pls tell me why my g4 radions fan always running( on) even when my lights are off ? is it normal 24/7/365 fan are on?
If your use mobius in the settings you can enable fan shutdown

how do you update the firmware?
3 dots in top right > settings > Devices Then it should show if there is an update.
But Ecotech Mobius often doesn’t communicate with devices that on there. That is the biggest problem Ecotech need to fix. Every time they release new fw Mobius does not work anymore.
I love Ecotec's products can't stand the app. Biggest problem here is company's need to learn to play together. Apps are all free and for us anyways, if an emergency happens are you really going to stumble through 5 apps to shut everything down? I have a variety of company's products in my tanks and don't like being pushed into one of them over another just to get it all to play together... Nice Video though!
This app is horrid compared to the cost of the pump.
