For a long while, I followed the daily back-and-forth of this war, and read or viewed the pro-Russia pundits who promised, over and over again, that Russia would soon make a massive move to win the conflict. But that move never came, which eventually led me to believe that Russia was far weaker than these pundits supposed, or that it lacked the political will to act decisively, perhaps due to military misjudgment, perhaps due to fear of triggering overt NATO intervention. Has anything really changed in this seemingly endless carnage?
