I see you went to Malaysia to drive on Sepang. I hope you enjoyed the track, im not from Msia rather from Singapore but i have been to the track a few times
Does down shifting the gear before a corner help you in braking like a manual normal car? Or is it ill-advised to do so? Can you please describe the sequence of what you do coming to a corner? Thanks in advance!
I would say it helps like a normal manual car (from what I see in the video) but it's a slight difference so maybe it helps more to reduce the wearing of the brakes, rather than making a big difference when breaking...
My engineer advised me to hit the brakes and then down shift progressively into the corner. For example at Turn 1: I would enter the corner in 6th gear, hit brakes, down shift progressively and by the time I hit the apex I should be in 2nd gear.
0:44 just curious, so about much force is required to achieve 70 bar vs 90 bar of pressure? ie how much weight or force is your braking foot applying to get that level of bar? Is it like pushing a 45lb plate with your foot, or trying to move a 200 lb weight with just your foot?
Thanks for the video mate! Im actually in the sodi karting series, and i want to know, is it possible to go from here to f4? I really want to be a racing driver, and ive gotta keep my spirit up...
@@kartingtips well, i guess it'll be impossible if not very hard, due to my actual economical status.. 😬😕 Even tho, u know any form to me to get into that? I'd like to get this going and growing from the bottom of my heart

The key is networking and knowing the right people. You establish a friendly relationship with them over years and eventually you can ask them for a sponsorship.
Hello, im watching rental kart videos a lot as of recently and wondered, why is it so often, that f4 drivers, drive rental karts instead of racekarts. Obviously if they can afford f4 why wouldnt they can afford a racekart? Also in a racekart you would learn much more cause generally the drivers are much more competetive there and the general level is a lot higher. I would if you would make a video on that or answer my comment! Great Videos and always really interesting!
Great question! F4 drivers do race in pro karts. Personally I drove Rotax and IAME before F4. Since my channel is focused on rental karts, the purpose of this video is to educate a driver who has only done rental karting on how driving an F4 car would feel.

The only 90 bars I'm hitting are chocolate bars
🤣
😁😬
thats a lot of pressure right there
That is an amazing insight into modern racing. Thank you😊

Try to apply for F4 tests in Spain or Italy or probably England. Just keep pushing!
Pls do a vid on how to get from karting to f4 or any open/closed wheel series
Sacré boulot que tu as fais là. Merci à toi 😉
Very good video 🎉🎉 but in rental karting trailbraking is the fastest braking technique as you keep the revs high whilst rotating the kart
Yah, please make the vid on karting and the progression, if you have the time I guess.
Sure! I'm working on it 😃

That's a great question. I believe the ratio is 1:1 so 90 bars of brake pressure is equivalent to 90 KG.
90 bar is around 55kg
Amazing content and yees please make a video how to get into karting! You're the best
Sure thing! I'm working on it :)
Can I make it to the gt series or just lower Formula series from rental karting ?
Great to see you in a formula 4 car :DD

SWS is a great start! I recommend you get some experience in two stroke karts next (Rotax or IAME) to prepare for the physicality and speed of F4.

@@kartingtips More than one, two at least. They're KartCenter Campillos and Karting Sevilla.

Aside from F4 is there any other types of racing for amature racers or people who are looking tk get in to racing? Money not really being an option
How did you get that sponsor? I would also love to do my best in F4

Yery interesting, thank you!
when racing in endurance races with multiple categories, how should I let faster karts by without loosing positions while racing lower categories.
wow! i did not know you were an F4 driver, that crazy.
I hope to find a sponsor and go racing again soon 😄
You're malaysian?
Because you use Sepang track there
let us know how to get into formula 4, or anything above karting
You went to Malaysia to compete?
This footage was during my experience in the F4 SEA championship in 2019 🏁
How much is f4 in UK?
I believe costs start from £200,000 for a full season
@@kartingtips I mean 1 session, or day.
@@kartingtips have you tried an Ariel atom?
I wonder if it’s equal with f4?

There's no transmission in karts. They're direct drive.
Other than that good video.
Bro...how the hell do you convince someone to fork out $300k for you to go racing? I don't understand it. Please help me understand it!
