    Non-vegetarian people should check this out too. Even those who eat meat can cut down to eating it only every other day. No need to eat meat every day. These idea are really helpful for everyone.

    I really struggled with vegetarian low carb, so I'm curious to see how you get on and wish you all the best with it . I know how hard it is to balance ideals with bodily health as I was a vegetarian for 12 years before going low carb high fat which has been working for me. Now when I don't feel like meat I eat organic free range eggs. I used to avoid eggs but have completely changed my attitude after attending a Joel Wallach seminar and resolving some long standing health issues based on his approach. Food is fraught with so much dogma nowadays, its like an eating cult. Can't wait to see your progress🍓

    I'm doing a ketogenic diet + intermittent fasting right now (low carb, high fat). It works really well for me too. Cooking veggies in coconut oil, using extra virgin olive oils to make your own salad dressing is a great way of feeling satiated while doing vegetarian. Best of luck to you!

    Thank you!!! At last, a video of low carb vegetarian foods!! You have no idea how excited I am to see what another low carb vegetarian eats. I love what you said about eating being a personal thing. I couldn't agree more. Every body responds differently to foods. I can't eat soy due to allergies so I am always looking for new ideas. It is wonderful to have a safe place to discuss and exchange ideas and tips. I love using unsweetened almond or coconut milk in my coffee instead of regular milk as I can get plain or flavoured varieties here in Canada. Have you ever tried shiratake noodles? They are zero carb and zero calorie noodles that are pretty much all fibre and contain healthy minerals. They are absolutely wonderful in stir fry dishes or as replacements for regular noodles in pasta dishes or casseroles and they are a natural product. My favourite breakfast is a chia seed pudding made with flavoured unsweetened almond or coconut milk as it feels like I am waking up to a treat. It is also really interesting seeing the products available to you in Switzerland compared to what we have here in Canada. I am new to the vegetarian lifestyle but have been eating low carb for years as it really helps to control my diabetes. Wishing you many delicious meals and looking forward to more videos.     NOT TELLING YOU WHAT TO EAT, just telling you what's working for us so maybe you can get some ideas. We do the Ketogenic diet. We don't eat cashews or pistachios as they're the highest in carbs and have a high impact on blood sugar. Also, you can use almond meal/flour to make a very low carb "bread". I find recipes on Pinterest for that. Stevia and erythritol help us when sweetening anything such as our coffee. We use heavy cream in our coffee and high fat cream cheese which works great. We've lost a lot of weight with and love it!! We aren't vegetarian but the high fat, moderate protein and extremely low carb (only from veggies) diet is amazing!! We subtract fiber from the carbs to get net carbs which is why you can eat more veggies without going over carbs. Oh and unsweetened Dutch process cocoa powder in your yogurt, coconut milk etc is awesome with loads of health benefits. GOOD LUCK TO YOU JULIA!!

    You can use hemp seeds to make 'oatmeal'. They are low carb, have a decent amount of protein and a higher fat content.

      Anna Dejnek I love hemp seeds! I put them on everything. my favorite it blended into a butter with flax seed oil and it makes a great dip.

    Hello Julia, can you please make ideas for quick low-carb vegetarian lunches for work? Me and my co-workers always go to some cafeteria where food is awful. So now I would like to start bringing lunch with me, however I am not big on cooking at all, especially when I come home in the evening and I am tired. Thank you! :)

    I love all veggies, especially what you have in your video. Great food choices Julia, I always say "Eat Food with Lots of Colors" I also try to follow a low carb diet but I do eat fish, chicken and some meat but not too much. Thanks for all your tips!

    I'm a vegetarian and though I've tried low carb before, I found it really hard to do. For a while now, I've thought about going low carb again and I wasn't really sure if I wanted to put the energy into researching and figuring out what to eat, so now I have the perfect kick in the butt to start again.     This video was very helpful. Sometimes i think i eat really badly because i don't eat meet anymore. My family tells me it's bad for me etc. But i actually eat all the food you show in this video so i feel relieved about my food diary now !

    I've been watching your makeup tutorials for a very long time and I must say I really really enjoy all your videos especially the fit Friday ones. I've been trying to eat healthy for years but it's really hard. I love food too much lol

    Those veggies look so good! I was doing keto for 2 years and then one day out of the blue, I just craved and HAD to have carbs. Turns out I was pregnant and my body told me to eat the carbs hah. Can't wait to see what you make!

    LOVE THIS. Would love to see more videos like this. I am insulin resistant and I am supposed to be on a low-carb diet. Every nutritionist I have been sent to tells me I need to eat a lot of meat and eggs.... but that's really hard to do when you really really really hate eating meat. For me personally I think the texture of meat is just disgusting so I avoid eating it as much as possible. I would love to see what kinds of low carb vegetarian meals you come up with :) I feel like that's a topic that's really hard to find information on and I don't see too many people doing a diet like that. So I feel very limited on ideas. Hope to see more food videos on this topic from you!

    I would love to see a food diary! I'm very interested in seeing meals that are made with this ingredients. I'm always trying to ingest less carbs, and, although, I am not a vegetarian, I'm just not big on meat, so this will be very helpful to me!

    I'm really interested in seeing recipes for low carb / vegetarian meals. I don't want to cut either meal or carbs completely out of my diet, but I am looking into lowering both. Some new meal ideas without either of them would be great!
    And if you are looking for ideas: ratatouille, topped with an egg is a great option. :)

    Hi Julia, Im a dietitian and liked this video. You are correct, nutrition/diet is individual. I would like to see how you prepare halloumi. I have many times but at restaurants so never made myself. So maybe a video on grilling halloumi

    This is very inspiring! I am not vegetarian but I catch myself eating less meat and fish everyday. I also try to have a gluten-free (or almost free, because it makes me feel very bloated) and lactose-free (intolerance) diet but sometimes I feel like my diet isn't balanced enough... I find difficult to eat enough protein... Thanks so much for this video, I hope you upload more soon! :D

    Es ist das erste mal, dass ich von jemandem höre der sich tatsächlich low carb vegetarisch ernährt. Ich befasse mich viel mit Ernährung und vor allem abnehmen, habe aber für mich selbst beschlossen dass mir low carb einfach zu hart ist so als Vegetarierin :D Zumal ich fettige Sachen und das meiste proteinreiche viel weniger mag als Kartoffeln und Vollkorn und sich Soja in größeren Mengen nicht mit meinen Eferox Tabletten verträgt (übrigens hasse ich den Beigeschmack von Stevia :/), also zähle ich Kalorien und mach mein Abendessen low carb. Find ich super gut, dass du das machst und hier teilst! Die meisten low carb'ler essen einfach jeden Tag Fleisch. Halt uns bitte auf dem laufenden!

    i cant have a lot of carbs, and sugar is my poison. i've been trying to go vegetarian too because i believe in not hurting things if i dont have to. eggs and milk are ok with me, i try to get free run when i can etc.
    its a hard diet!

    Great video. I'm a big proponent of low carb, but I also struggle with the consequences of meat consumption. Really curious to see how it works out for you. Im allergic to eggs and avocado (I know, right?) so I don't think I could go completely vegetarian low carb, but I'm interested to see what meal ideas you come up with. One thing I like to make is low carb granola. Coconut flakes, flaxseed, chia seed, walnuts, almond slivers coated in butter and coconut oil with a bit of vanilla, sweetener, and cinnamon, then baked in the oven. I'd put this on full fat Greek yogurt with berries or mix in a little half and half and eat like cereal. Anyway, good luck and keep us posted!

    Sounds like a solid plan. I wish you the best of luck! We all have to try different "diets" and see what works for our bodies, based on individual genes. I've noticed for myself, being high carb all the time was wayyy too much fiber for my body. I had terrible diarrhea and gas (tmi sorry) and had to balance with more fat. However, I originally took that too far, subbed more of my carbs out with fat, and felt super lethargic and low energy. Just be carful by how much carb you avoid! Your body's first energy source is glucose from carbs!

    I live in Germany and at DM i saw some really interesting things for smothies, a powder with good green vegetables in it. And also they have diferent low carb flowers now, from rice, greenpeas, coconut..etc.
    It looks a really good plan, but how do you keep it when you go for dinner or have to eat out everyday?

    This video was extremely helpful! I've been eating low car vegetarian for a little over three weeks and it was good to see what you bought! I recently learned that I was allergic to artificial food additives so it's been a rough couple weeks but I'm feeling better and better as I get the hang of eating a completely different way!     julia have you heard of swerve sweetner it is the closest to "sugar" that I have found , it's great for baking and it comes in both granual and powdered. I have been doing keto for a while and it definitely helps .

    Cucumber & Tomato are fruits because it has seeds inside of it's self, alot of people don't know what truly a fruit or a vegetable are
