Aeroflot is an excellent choice for international travel. I highly recommend them for their very professional air crews and customer service. The smoothest handling of a jet I have ever experienced. Hat's off to the best pilots in the industry!!!
Passengers are so polite in Russia. Even if the landing are smooth, hard or bumpy they thank their pilots with an applause for bringing them safely from A to B! Much to learn from this!
lovin' the flap noise at the beginning, but there was reverse thrust used, probably just idle reverse thrust because of the legnth of the runway, that's why you couldn't hear it, it wasn't making much of an air ruch through the engines - that's the noise you hear.
I was born in Latvia, i live in London UK, I'm just staying in Toronto for long holidays. I'm not rude at all, I just hate people who lie, anyway wish all the best in your future career.
@ollo1982 It was my answer on that "no runway can be that long, except for the one at edward afb that the shuttle uses". I replied that every modern airport has approximately the same runway length as Edwards AFB.
@Born2FlyBoeing Yes they have, though none recently. Malev had a string of fatal accidents in the 1970's. The have not had any fatalities since then and that in itself is an enviable record.
Dear ladies and gentlemen, we've landed in Moscow Sheremetyevo airport Terminal 1. local time is 3.20pm. Please remain sitted while our plane is taxiing. Something like that (:
@travelplus1 Dude... no reverser is very very very common this days... alot of heavies landing at Manchester never use reverser,at Gatwick heavies dont use reversers,at stanstedt... Reversers are used after what the pilots are comfy with... as long as the runway is long enough it have nothing to say, other than the pilots save the airline fuel use,and also saves the engines for beeing worn out earlier than necessary by not using the reverse thrust...
ladies and gentlemen our plane has succesfully landed in moscow airport. we will make our way into terminal one, and the local time in moscow is 15:20. please do not unbucle your seatbelts until we have fully stopped and so on...
Unfortunately until today me to partly have big doubt about the Aeroflot. Altough today on it,s western European routes Aeroflot will use mostly western-style jets, like the Airbus A320/A321, the brandnew A330, the Boeing 767-300 (see your video) and the Triple Seven. And at the other hand at least a little I can imagine these western-style jets would be as comfortable as for example Lufthansa or Air Berlin.
@SunriseHealthFoods Look for Sheremetyevo airport in Wikipedia and you'll find out that it has 2 runways: 07R/25L 12,139ft (3,700m) Concrete 07L/25R 11,647ft (3,550m) Concrete
They don't though. Check out some videos when people film it from the outside. Plus ITS in the title. You would be able to hear it if you are sitting on the wing.
I can understand an applause if it's a difficult landing like when the pilots got an applause when we landed in Florida during Hurricane Irene after doing no less than THREE go-arounds but that^ seemed okay to me.
@LDP555 Probebly thankfull to be safely on the ground. lol j/k.... Having a father flying Delta for 30 years ive been on many flights on many airlines overseas and I noticed alot of European flights involved clapping after landing. I think its an appreciation clap instead of a relef clap. My dad even has clapping everynow and then on his flights.
@cosmicbullfight I have not flown Aeroflot, either, but I would do so very willingly. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, they have updated their fleet. Most of the 40 year old Soviet designs are gone. Today, they fly modern Western and Russian planes. Aeroflot proper (not any of the Baby Flots) has not has a fatal accident in over a decade. From what I hear, service on board is comparable to Western flag carriers now. I see no reason not to fly Aeroflot when traveling to Eastern Europe.
@SunriseHealthFoods Every modern international airport have the same runway length. Try to google Heathrow or JFK and you'll find out many interesting things))
I know they don't, well I say stuff... I like older airplanes because they have an engineer panel and pilots are more experienced, today pilots only land takeoff and everything else is auto...
British Airways, BMI, Air Canada, Quantas, American Airlines, Singapore Airlines, EVA Air, KLM, Finnair, AirBaltic, Airfrance, Ryanair, Air Transat, West Airways, Lufthansa, Spanair.
Well, interesting comment on Aeroflot safety. I am not a complete fan. However, you have to understand that for the ENTIRE history of Russian aviation it was the ONLY airline moving 100 million people back and forth. Therefore, you have accumulate statistics for ALL american airlines and then compare it to Aeroflot. American fatalities come out at a much higher number this way. If you wanna be fair and accurate compare apples to apples.
I bet the flight attendants are smoking hot!!! Wouldn't mind if Russia sent a few of their ladies over to work on U.S. carriers. It's the least they could do, we sent them a few airplanes so they should return the favor.
No worse than those 737 200's :) Plus I'm not gonna argue with you cause I like Middle East I like their PIA Airlines and other... and I think we both hate USA.
Frightening to hear the wing flaps! Wasnt a good landing in the middle of a winter storm with a plane load of Elite hockey players. I Hope that made a difference.. to Acceptable standards in Russia. So tragic
man even tho im from russia, (but live in canada) the service is horrible. russian boy is wrong aeroflot has WORSE service than lufthansa, but better than delta and AA. LUFTHANSA IS THE BEST BTW
it's doesn't matter what fleet they got a330 or boeing 767. Aeroflot haven't got any experienced pilots on airbus or boeing. i think Aeroflot is still worst airline in the world :)
I don,t like Aeroflot because most of their planes are very old and unsafe. My last week,s Aeroflot flight was a very old and outdated TU-154M. Very old Seats, the inflight-lunch was very, very sugary and sweet and the Crew only was spoken Russia and they were severe unfriendly and unhelpful. No!! I don,t like Russia!!!
Aeroflot is an excellent choice for international travel. I highly recommend them for their very professional air crews and customer service. The smoothest handling of a jet I have ever experienced. Hat's off to the best pilots in the industry!!!
Perfect video, steady, awesome scenery, awesome plane, awesome landing ^^ 5 stars
beautiful landscape and way more green open spaces than I expected.
It is Russia after all what do you expect?
I love the clapping. It shows respect- old scool never dies.
Passengers are so polite in Russia. Even if the landing are smooth, hard or bumpy they thank their pilots with an applause for bringing them safely from A to B! Much to learn from this!
Как же давно это было…
lovin' the flap noise at the beginning, but there was reverse thrust used, probably just idle reverse thrust because of the legnth of the runway, that's why you couldn't hear it, it wasn't making much of an air ruch through the engines - that's the noise you hear.
I love Aeroflot , the best!!!))) maybe it had bad past but it real good airline right now!!!)))
I was born in Latvia, i live in London UK, I'm just staying in Toronto for long holidays. I'm not rude at all, I just hate people who lie, anyway wish all the best in your future career.
i loved this video.. great job... i wish i could go home too!!!
A REALLY NICE VIDEO i didn't know that Aeroflot has a B767
i love the sound of the gear coming down at the begining, sounds like something at the fairground lol
@ollo1982 It was my answer on that "no runway can be that long, except for the one at edward afb that the shuttle uses". I replied that every modern airport has approximately the same runway length as Edwards AFB.
Awesome video!
@teddy96 hydraulic system in the older 767s all sound like this, actually most hydraulic systems sound like that
Great vid. Well done!!!
@gridzhio no runway can be that long, except for the one at edward afb that the shuttle uses
@Born2FlyBoeing
Yes they have, though none recently. Malev had a string of fatal accidents in the 1970's.
The have not had any fatalities since then and that in itself is an enviable record.
This is an American built aircraft and Aeroflot has a very new fleet of very good aircraft.
I like Russia!
Dear ladies and gentlemen, we've landed in Moscow Sheremetyevo airport Terminal 1. local time is 3.20pm. Please remain sitted while our plane is taxiing.
Something like that (:

there is no reverse thrust there isnt always need for it, they just use the spoilers (speedbreak) to slow the aircraft down :D
Thrust-reversers are only used on short runways. No need to use them on 10,000+ foot runways.
I wonder what it feels like when the plane touches down at the Kennedy airport and you realize that you are FINALLY back from Russia :)))
@ns81
No. The runway length is 11,647 ft (3,550 m)
ladies and gentlemen our plane has succesfully landed in moscow airport. we will make our way into terminal one, and the local time in moscow is

@cosmicbullfight Aeroflot is a very nice company! They have very nice aircraft and very nice maintenance(on the last 10 years there have never crashed!
@SunriseHealthFoods

07R/25L 12,139ft (3,700m) Concrete
07L/25R 11,647ft (3,550m) Concrete
OK, thank you!!!
@gridzhio thats BS... lol... Heathrow: 09L/27R 3,901m/12,799ft Grooved Asphalt
09R/27L3,660m/12,008ft Grooved asphalt! JFK: 4L/22R 11,351ft/3,460m Asphalt 4R/22L 8,400ft/2,560m Asphalt 13L/31R 10,000ft/3,048m Asphalt 13R/31L 14,572ft/4,423m Concrete! Because you cannot hear/see it in this vid it doesn't mean that they don't use it ...
Their English announcement is quite good!
They don't though. Check out some videos when people film it from the outside. Plus ITS in the title. You would be able to hear it if you are sitting on the wing.
"oh snap! without reverses! RESPECT, ill have to try that on FS2004 "
lol me too
pretty soon. maybe this summer!?
the runways are 12000'+ there is prob no need for the reverse thrust, plus the plane is light coming in
I think the pilots were just trying to show off how good they are!!!!! There can't have been a lot of people or baggage?
Where were you coming from?
that russian runway, wow
the pilot has skills
I can understand an applause if it's a difficult landing like when the pilots got an applause when we landed in Florida during Hurricane Irene after doing no less than THREE go-arounds but that^ seemed okay to me.
Can you translate what the flight attendent was saying after touchdown!!!
Wow flaps 20! Short field?
@teddy96 Its the air raid siren
Anyone know why Aeroflot doesn't use reverse thrust?
I think its pretty good better then in Lufthansa, Delta, AA, !!!
@LDP555 Probebly thankfull to be safely on the ground. lol j/k.... Having a father flying Delta for 30 years ive been on many flights on many airlines overseas and I noticed alot of European flights involved clapping after landing. I think its an appreciation clap instead of a relef clap. My dad even has clapping everynow and then on his flights.
that is because this isn't an international flight but it's coming from Vladivostok
How is the service with Aeroflot?
whats with the clapping? Were people relieved to land safely?
@cosmicbullfight
I have not flown Aeroflot, either, but I would do so very willingly. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, they have updated their fleet. Most of the 40 year old Soviet designs are gone. Today, they fly modern Western and Russian planes.

This is true. Whenever I fly from Heathrow to Moscow Domodedovo, the russians clap on landing.
Even if it was an awful landing!
@SunriseHealthFoods
Every modern international airport have the same runway length. Try to google Heathrow or JFK and you'll find out many interesting things))

Pretty much every intl airport today, have from about 2000 metres to 4500metres...
you can hear at 0:48 the alert cabin sound going off!!!!!
@gridzhio Sorry... didnt understand that :/
where were you flying in from which country?
where did you take off from?
It's 5:30 pm not 3:30 pm .Perhaps!!!
and SAS as well
its too strange that he turned right to domestic terminal but he must turn to left to international terminal
people clap all the time /// I was flying on exact same plane just yesterday From Moscow to NY and ppl always clap ))
Gear down and the flaps :)
that's a pro right? :D
28.04.2021 (пс. Хочу быть бортпроводником, вернусь сюда через три года и скажу как все ахахах)
Was this a long flight? Why were people clapping? LOL
russia is such a beautiful country
people do that in europe, and many years ago people would do that

hehe...tell that to New Zeland Air passengers, or Southwest for the that matter. They all clap...Yay! We are all alive!
А откуда летел?
Думаю Канада, тогда на тот рейс 767 ставили
but you do? so good luck with your next flight with Aeroflot! ha ha...
it's just a tradition -- especially for russians.
Its aeroflot clear
I bet the flight attendants are smoking hot!!! Wouldn't mind if Russia sent a few of their ladies over to work on U.S. carriers. It's the least they could do, we sent them a few airplanes so they should return the favor.

Boring much, Russia?!
