Thanks Andy. My Dad rode one of his Nortons every day. Some reason, I remember him telling me this was his favorite song when I was a kid and played a record for me. I've just retired from the Air Force and get to see him this Christmas for the first time in a few years. This will be a nice little surprise gift. You got me on the right tract to get in my grove and get the vocals worked out easily by Christmas. He'll get a kick out of it thanks again great lesson and teach technics / tips.
Oh,,, and man, what a monster Richard Thompson is on guitar. Jeez Glad I discovered his stuff. I'll use these technics for many song I'm sure.

"..most important element of a song is the delivery of the rhythm of the song."
A profound truth that many musicians, even some who are technically brilliant, just don't get.

Just when I thought the impossible was impossible. This is very well done and the guy is obviously an accomplished performer himself. He has such command of that guitar,. It is refreshing to see. He is an excellent teacher and I only wish I knew him or where he was to take lessons perhaps if he even really teaches? .
Thanks.. Have to check out more!

Great player, Great teacher for sure. Thanks! Had to go through it a couple of times but absolutely terrific. I like how he stresses putting your own spin on it as opposed to playing i note for note. That is how it should be. great job!

I agree 100% with vKarl71. This guy (Kimbel), has such a sincerity about his music and approach to the guitar. I can close my eyes and feel so good just listening to what ever he plays. Great teacher! Bravo!

Good lesson but you might want to lower the gain on the mic. There's a lot of distortion coming through.

This guy is ridiculous. He has no idea how to play this song. He has the tuning right and that's about it. Do yourselves a favor and ignore this and go watch Richard Thompson play it.

unclear visuals, you couldn't have done the video in a worse place, the camera should be facing the other way, away from the windows. also you should concentrate on quality and not speed!
