- The FFG x Porterbuilt 4x4 chassis for 1965-1979 Ford trucks is finally here. We've worked long and hard to design and build what we believe is the most solid, well-engineered 4x4 chassis solution available. Unlike universal or one-size-fits-all approaches, this chassis was developed specifically for these platforms, with every mount, bracket, and dimension perfectly matched to these trucks. In this video, Jason and Nate break down the key features and engineering that set this chassis apart from anything else on the market. Every aspect has been carefully considered and engineered to provide maximum strength, reliability, and ease of installation. Whether you're building a daily driver or a full custom truck, this purpose-built chassis delivers the foundation you need to do it right.

Now if they were just affordable for the blue collar working man,
Thats not the target demo though
God this would be perfect for my f250. I want a godzilla in it
I was just thinking the same thing. A Godzilla and the 10 speed
Gorgeous fabrication! Thank you
Just need this for my 75 super cab.
Front link angles look short and steep (rough ride). I'm guessing that frame will come down once there's weight on it but still arms look really short.
The reason tires an rims are sticking out is the offset of the rim, you can buy rims that stick out past the fenders or stick inside the fender wheels
Adding covers to the frame ports would be easy to keep water and debris out. A couple nutserts and plexiglass or 1/8 stainless
Very nice!
What material is the frame made out of?
Old men’s work trucks have become unobtainable Gucci bags on wheels.
You can spend as much or as little on fixing them up as you want. This chassis is definitely not bargain priced but lots of research, equipment, labor and fabrication time to make this frame setup. If you wanted to restore an old truck on a budget you would just restore the original frame.
This is awesome!
It needs a 50 gallon fuel cell.
I like the front steering links but the front and rear suspension links seem a little small
Should get them e-coated in a dip tank for 100% coverage instead of pray and spraying powder coat up inside the frame and leaving a bunch of bare metal
We (I truck, I'm not rich, but no kids and 80k I have some money) need a finance company that will do RV length loans (12 year) on a completely custom vehicle, from a new frame all the way up. There's nothing I'd want more than a hand picked totally custom vehicle. No one wants some junk regular old vehicle on a 6 year loan anyway. If its exactly what ya want, you picked it all, you're gonna like 100% of it, want it 100%, and keep it much longer. Makes sense to me.
Exhausted by these marketing people. They put a bunch of words together that don't go together. They love how dumb you are, and they want to keep you that way!
Looks like several open place for mud and salt to rust a 75k frame
We addressed that in the vid! 3:14
@@FatFenderGarage If you know what kill's the frame why would that be even considered left open. I know that if it was in my driveway me and the garden hose are not laying under there spraying water in the rails. Don't get me wrong it looks well built, just unfinished in my eye's. No Need for a explanation point, were just talking.
Even fully boxed and welded frame rails can allow in moisture. Better to have open access and stitched welds to allow the moisture to drain. Take a look at the rails of modern trucks with boxed frames. They have weep holes for that reason
@ you clearly don't own a F250 or F350 because from the back of the cab to the end of the frame it's C Channel and open, from cab forward it's closed . Weep Holes really I'm sorry this wasn't a argument it was my opinion. Now you want to state fact's better go by the dealership and look under a F250.
@@LRCII72 not arguing either. I’ve actually got a highboy in the garage. They used c channel frame in the rear and a boxed frame in the engine cradle. Like you mentioned. There are openings in that section to allow drainage. I’ve also got 2 modern f250s with boxes frames. They do in fact have weep holes for drainage because the rails are not water or air tight. They need to vent. I don’t see issues with this porterbuilt frame as far as water drainage goes. If you’re mudding your $250k restomod truck you either have money to burn and you don’t care if it gets damaged or I bet you’re making sure to crawl under there with a pressure washer to clean out the muck.
check out the angles on those front arms. so much harshness will run from the axle, up those arms and into that frame, gonna right like crap. forever.
horrible. I had to go long arm on my grand cherokee due to those angles.
Be nice to have a long box regularcab 73-79 4x4 chassis in stock specs but all new all updated. I want stock engine stock with stock look and function drivetrain. No coyote or SD Axles for me
We can make those too
Beautiful. Looks expensive!
Beautiful work! I just do not know why someone would need to spend this kind of money for a frame setup. It is a straight axle with links, this is not rocket science.
Any for gmc????
He mentioned that Yes
@ right win I txt it he said it lol
Hey can can someone do a madman order cause I know a friend that wants to do a 4x4 station wagon you know like the Simpson station wagon
Those huge shock towers look horrible 😢
Well if you can build one for a 90 bronco coyote swap ill bite
Up in communist canaduh, this is purely a dream chassis. Burning black diesel and barely making ends meet - who's buying these 🤑🤑🤑
How can it stress the sway bar you definitely didn’t engineer much on that. A sway bar is stressed when the suspension is articulated or at full drop if improperly designed. Just say you’re lazy…. But it is a bad ass chassis!
