Did u pore oil or water from the mug
Would suggest that you use diffused lighting (not overhead) to avoid washing out some parts of the clip. But Thank you . Have just inherited very similar "idli making set" and wanted to start using it.

I have used microwave mode so you need not set temperature for it.

at 1.25, it is little bit of water I think not oil

I am brushing oil on the mould so that idli comes out easily after its being cooked.
It was not properly cooked after 3 mins and It became hard after cooking for few more minutes.
I followed the same procedure but my idlis were not fluffy at all... instead it was hard to taste
Try adding a bit of "ENO" just before putting it in. You can start with 1/4 packet in enough batter to make these 8 idlis. I use it to make "Gujjubhai's Dhokala". Another way would be to blend some fully cooked rice into the ready mix batter.
