I love how the majority of this "interview" was the crowd showering him with love, which is well deserved
Seeing all the extra behind the scenes footage of Hayden is what built my appreciation for him. The man put in the effort and gave his all for it, and I'll never disrespect an actor for that.
His lightsaber skills are genuinely impressive !!
You can tell how much the character means to him, and honestly most of my complaints related to his character in the movies in particular was related to the writing, not his acting.

At some point before all this I felt like we owed Hayden an apology for all the shit he got for the prequels but now it looks like we're past that. He's now one of the most beloved cast members and rightfully so.

@@roxtechs I don't hate her(in fact I hope she gets a second chance), it's the character she plays that is so horribly written I hate it. She got dealt the worst hand possible but it's not the actors' fault in most cases.
And lets not forget Moses Ingram, Daisy Ridley also been hated on equally they need an apology too.
@@roxtechsI don't think many people hate her. They hate the character she plays. There are obviously some delusional people who go after her, but for the most part it's just people hating Rey. Hayden was literally being lambasted from all corners of the planet for doing his job.
I went to elementary school with Hayden so it was very strange seeing him in the prequels! I wish him nothing but the best though

@@prathapkutty7407 I wouldn’t say “friends”. We were in classes together and we were all friendly. But he was very much “on his way” to being a working actor and he wasn’t around much to socialize with.

@@aryanbhuta3382 as a “working actor” you mean? We went to an arts specialty school. Hayden had starred in a few commercials and was a child actor on a Canadian soap opera when we were in school together. So he was often busy filming.

I liked the Prequels before really watching Clone Wars but the Clone Wars did do a lot for the prequels. The Prequels just don't hit the same without Clone Wars.

personally i don;t particularly like clone wars anakin, feels like they took too many of the edges off for most of the series.
for hayden and the other prequel actors it's one of those things where as you get older/see the behind the scenes/see the actors in anything else you realize it's not their fault the way those movies went the way they did.
like even if it was rough around the edges him in kenobi is still the best version of the half anakin/vader yet.
I met him at the last Orlando celebration and I was crying, HE CALLED ME BACK TO GIVE HIM A HUG! I almost died lol. It is a core memory, he is the nicest person!
I was there in the crowd when this happened and my god you could feel the emotion in the room. I'm so happy for him and how loved he is by the fans. He deserves it!
Literally everyone was screaming and every person had their camera up. That room adored him.
I was in the crowd for most of the LIVE appearences and Hayden got the loudest cheer from fans out of everyone.
I always loved Hayden. He was one of my first crushes lol. I grew up with the prequels so I have a fondness for them!
Same. At this time I was a wee fangirl I had no idea the shit he was getting. Then when I learnt about it, I got so angry at Star Wars fans. And then I learnt that they also bullied yknow, a 10 years old so much that the now grown-adult he is doesn't want anything to do with Star Wars ever and just revels in anonymity. And that they bullied like the only black actor of the prequels so much that the dude thought about k*lling himself (I was sad to notice on top of that that even tho Ahmed Best appeared in The Mandalorian, he was nowhere to be seen at the Celebration, probably still weary). And then Star Wars fandom still did the same with Kelly Marie Tran, John Boyega... ugh, they never learn. People really don't imagine the damage they can do.
But I'm truly glad Hayden gets his time to savor every bit of reward he deserves, for all the commitment he put in Anakin Skywalker. Anakin is his character, Anakin wouldn't exist as he does without Hayden. You can see it in the BTS features of AOC and ROTS, Hayden put it all in Anakin, and at a very young age. The amount of stunts he did himself, how he worked with the lightsaber so much to replicate how excellent Anakin is supposed to be at wielding that thing. His job was *acting* , and he did it with all his will and heart. I'm so tired of fans blaiming actors for their characters' actions (ie: Laura Bailey for Abby on TLOU2), or writing decisions they have nothing to do with. Yes George Lucas put too much CGI shit on his prequels, but that's on George Lucas. Yes some dialogues were weird and some parts were boring. But that's on the writing team. In the mean time, Jake Lloyd, Hayden Christensen, Ahmed Best, Kelly Marie Tran, John Boyega, they all just did their job, and they did it very well, with *a lot* of dedication to the Star Wars universe. It all came from a place of love for the universe from each and every one of them, so why can't we just leave them alone? It's so sad how even Ewan who never got any shit compared to Hayden Christensen, felt ashamed of the prequels for so long too... There was nothing to be ashamed of. Anakin's journey is incredible, and without the prequels, carried by these actors, there would be no story. Can't wait for the 2025 ROTS panel, I really hope *all* the actors (hum hum Natalie Portman, WHEN?) get to experience how good it can be, to be part of Star Wars. And yknow what, "fans" can still complain, about Kathleen Kennedy or Disney or "Star Wars fatigue" or whatever, just for opportunities like that, given to people who deserve it like Hayden, well to me it's all worth it.
@MARYWTHER To be fair, Jake Lloyd's retreat from public life isn't exclusively because of Star Wars. That did cause him to be bullied a lot and retire from acting and affected his mental health, but he also has had several run ins with the police, and was recently diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and is now monitored closely by his family. I think if it weren't for that, he might be a bit more public and hopefully be embraced more like Hayden is now
Words can't express just how truly happy I am for Hayden. To see the hate he and others got for doing their job really sucked to see.
But to see him, Ahmed Best get a badass character sequence in The Mandalorian, Ewan able to come back as Obi, it's like a redemption for the fans to show them their true appreciation for the characters they brought to life on screen.
The vibe during Celebration was so wholesome this year, you could just feel the love from everywhere.

Im glad to see Hayden get some love. He did what he was told by Lucas and acted the lines given him. Dont blame him blame the guy who directed and wrote it all. Hayden is a damn cool guy and great actor. I love Jumper too.
The emotion has been real all through Celebration. Actors and creatives all touched and humbled by the incredible love of the fans. The energy there was electric . I wept on more than one occasion at these interviews.
I don't know how anyone could not tear up during this interview!
I've been waiting for this all weekend! I don't think Hayden actually understands the impact he has on the lives of prequel kids. My 11 year old self would watch Attack of the Clones that I had recorded on my vcr, every... single... day! In the morning before school, when I came home from school and when I went to bed. He is the trigger for this galaxy becoming my whole world. Ever since he's returned, I've basically not stopped crying. For the past 21 years, all I have ever wanted is for him to be loved and appreciated the way he deserved and I'm glad that he's finally seeing the light side of the fans and not just the dark side!

Honestly this was so great, I was right at the front of the crowd for this and we all was so happy to see Hayden and it's nothing less than what he deserves from all of us.
Please react to more of these interviews, the one with Vivian, AKA little Leia, was so cute, Dave getting emotional, Lars and Ray, and so on, incredible. But this interview with Hayden, and no questions about the Ahsoka show, that was insane, he’s got THE most important, best, and emotional scene in the whole show, according to leaks, just get him to say ANYTHING about the Ahsoka show already!
To be fair, the interviewer barely got to ask any questions with the constant yelling and cheering from the crowd. But he has been very tight lipped about Ahsoka before, outside of confirming he's in it

@@c.lvr2602 I know, but then make the interview longer like some of the others, Hayden was supposed to have from 12 to 12:15, but it was under 10 minutes! And just ask those Ahsoka questions only and from the beginning, he’s answered all the fans, kenobi, and returning already over and over, ask what the fans really wanna know.

I grew up with the prequels and anakin was and still is my favoirite character in star wars. Hayden did an amazing job playing him, i hope i get to meet him one day.
I never understand the Hayden & Prequels hate. For years & years when everyone was down on the prequels & gave Hayden unnecessary hate I was one of the few who still was a fan. It's so refreshing to see everyone else finally see what I've always seen.

Hayden has got to be one of the most humble cast members in the entire Star Wars universe. I grew up with the prequels and to this day I have never thought that Hayden was a bad choice to play Anakin/Vader (who could have played the character better than Hayden, seriously?!?!).
This was just so wholesome. I love it when fans just get together and have fun and show love.
The Obi-wan Kenobi panel was the favorite part of the whole celebration for me. The redeeming love that Hayden got (and also Ahmed Best in a way); the genuine love between Hayden and Ewan; the amazing composure and eloquence of Vivien Lyra Blair sitting there and holding her own in between such great actors in front of such a big crowd was just so impressive for a 10 year old, she really blew me away. And of course also Indira Varma and Deborah Chow, who were amazing too. The only thing that was lacking from that panel was Moses Ingram whom I wish would have been there as well.
I rushed back into the live stage when Hayden came out. It just went crazy. I've watched this a few times and still can't believe that I was there watching live.
Hayden is the best. I have always loved RotS the most of any Star Wars movie/media, and am so glad to see him more and more often now.
I was 10 rows back and everyone in that room had a moment with Hayden. It was so special, so moving and one I will never forget.
I was right up the front for this and the atmosphere was just insane, I will never forget it!! Had no idea how huge the crowd was until I watched the pro footage back it was just mind blowing. By far the highlight of the weekend for me

I really hope they find new ways to occasionally bring Hayden back so that he gets to keep being a part of the love we all have for him and what he brought to Star Wars.

Love love love this for Hayden. Very-well deserved coming from a guy who thought he hated the prequels when he was in middle and high school. Glad Ahmed Best got to have his moment of love too. Now we just need to do the same for poor Jake Lloyd.

while my parents had the original trilogy, i had the prequels while growing up. my favorite star wars movie will forever be Episode 5, but 3 is right there in #2. some of my first interactions with the star wars fanbase online was negative. it was people talking about how "bad hayden christensen was" and other things. i remember it making me feel extreme sadness
i'm 22 years old now. he's still one of my favorite actors in star wars. seeing him receive so much applause and love is such a wonderful sight to see. hayden is such an incredible human being, so humble and kind. at this point, i'm pretty sure the love he gets completely blankets the hate he (unjustifiably) receives

I'm not a big Star Wars fan but I will admit Darth Vader has always been my favourite character. And by extension Anakin. Hayden getting all of the hate back when the prequels were fresh always felt unfair to me. But now that he's back many years later, I got emotional when he was tearing up. I never expected to see him again in that role but after Obi-Wan, it made me super happy that he's back, being embraced and fully loved by the fans.
When I saw this the 1st time I was like finallyI have been a fan of Hayden’s if you haven’t seen His other work you should. I literally had tears out my eyes seeing him get that love.
i remember going to every prequel star wars movie in theaters, i looked much like episode 1 anakin and truly saw myself in him. then hayden came to be in the next two installments. He is one of my favorite actors and when i learned that he was not well received is disheartening. I am so sad there was so many star wars fans that didnt appreciate the prequels.
I love all the content this channel is getting, initially I was skeptical about moving all the Star Wars things to a new channel but I love this channel, everyone only here for Star Wars and pure Star Wars contents from the best reactors and Star Wars fans out there, it’s great. Dave Filoni is the fixer. He fixed the prequel trilogy via the clone wars just as he's going to fix the sequel trilogy through the mandalorian series. Lucas was and Disney is incredibly lucky to have him.
He’s not fixing anything. The current season of the Mandalorian is awful.

@@LD_92 Can argue on multiple points about the opinions you gave, but gonna focus on "Frankly, I’m disappointed in Bryce Dallas Howard" concerning Lizzo in Star Wars. Episodic directors get no say in casting, or writing of the episode. They are there to direct, but the season has already been overall written and casted by other people (for example this episode was written by Favreau and casted by Sarah Halley Finn, csa). You dislike Lizzo or the way the most recent episode was written? Fine. And maybe you have other issues you can blame Bryce Dallas Howard for, like the way the episode was filmed or directed, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to blame her for Lizzo or its writing
This shows the generation cycles that Star Wars goes through. To many now the prequels are the first Star Wars they saw, so it’s many in the newer generations favorites. In another 10-20 years the sequel trilogy will get the same love that the prequels have now.

I love the first 6 films and the clone wars show but I grew up with the prequels and theyve helped me get through some rough times recently so they'll always hold a special place in my heart. Revenge of the sith is to me the best star wars movie and is definitely my favorite. He did amazing portraying anakin and he'll always be my favorite actor/character in star wars. It's great to see him finally get the appreciation and love he's deserved

Jake Lloyd, Ahmed Best, Hayden, Daisy and Kelly Marie Tran have all been horribly abused by so called Star Wars fans over the years for what they did on screen.
Did they write their characters?
Did they direct their characters?
Did they do anything other than try to perform a character as they were asked to?
No, no and no. It's not their faults that there were some very flimsy screen plays, some very clunky cheesy dialogue or the fact many of them as relatively new actors had to spend there whole day stood in front of a green screen. Neither was it their faults that some of these films have been sub par in comparison to the originals.
There is probably plenty of blame to go around for some of the decisions made since the late 90's in Star Wars, but it is not and never was the fault of the acting talent.
I'm so glad that Hayden for one is getting the Hero treatment he deserves finally.

I never hated him as an actor or as Anakin, you could tell it was simply badly written lines, but you could tell he was dedicated with the saber choreography he did. I actually hoped for a sequel to Jumper. Heh maybe that'll happen now.

I'm very glad that he was able to be a part of that and get all of that love. I just kinda wish that some other not always so well liked cast members could get it too. Jake Lloyd is probably at home shaking his fist at the screen or something. Ahmed at least got a bit of redemption and I hope people showed the love for that. I just hate how some Star Wars "fans" can be so toxic and hateful. This was beautiful to see though.

His fanbase grew up, they're not kids anymore. That's the main reason why his appreciated now. The fanbase understands the process and what goes on behind the scenes more.

Hayden better get his own goddamn Vader series I swear. He has such a deep understanding of the character, so getting to peer into Vader's daily life of pain would be such a treat. Not to mention all the awesome potential scenes of him hunting down Jedi.

I've watched A New Hope to the point where I know every line of dialogue and its inflection, every musical queue, and every sound effect. I had no idea that one half of Vader's mask is silver. Idk if that was only a thing later on, though.
I was destined to be a Star Wars nerd for life because Hayden Christensen was my ABSOLUTE BIGGEST celebrity crush as a teen 😂 I married an Imperial sympathizer it makes so much sense 😂😂 so happy Hayden is getting all the love I’ve given for YEARS 😝
