- Today I travelled to the Roman town of Chelmsford where I visited Chelmsford Cathedral. I met up with the Dean of Chelmsford Cathedral. He is Nicholas and he gives a great and interesting history of this beautiful medieval building with all the changes that has happened over the years.
He then personally gives me permission to play Boogie Woogie Piano in The Cathedral. I'm sure you will like this one. I'd like to say thanks to Nicholas and Jonathan for making this possible. All the boogie best. Terry Miles.

@@robertschiffler555 Thankyou Robert and you're absolutely right. I live in a fairly normal small village in the middle of England and our church is nearly 500yrs old. The village I lived in previously was originally a viking settlement. Our history isn't lost on us , most of us are extremely proud of it.

I always find it fascinating that somehow you never make the videos as away to show off how good you are, yet this is the understated result with no ego on show at any point. OMG! This song, "I Am The Bread Of Life" is one of the most beautiful hymns in existence! It doesn't get played as often as I would like... but OH, what a rendition!
I am the Bread of Life. They that come to Me shall not hunger; they who believe in Me shall not thirst. No one can come to Me unless the Father draw them."
The three hymns that I have requested for my funeral Mass are Bread of Life, Ave Maria and Amazing Grace. If Terry were playing... I'd come back from the dead just to listen!
Those three songs ALWAYS make me cry!
Built in the 1200's and still standing strong. That first number you played was absolutely beautiful and I love how you worked it to the Boogie Woogie.
The piano has such a beautiful sound. The cathedral is a beautiful place to worship. You are a lucky man that you had this opportunity to play the piano in this place.

I've just seen this amazing video what an amazing church this is the high vaulted ceilings and the stain glass windows are in excellent condition and Terry Miles really shines through. The way that the first song ended and carried on into the boogie woogie second part which was played in a respected fashion and not hammered out was a pure joy for me. The piano was tuned really well and Terry Miles was excellent. The footage filmed was absolutely first class too.
I can tell by watching this video. Performing in such a place really means something to Terry. It may be religious reasons, it may be musical, but there is a certain pressure Terry felt before his performance. Whatever it may be, he nailed it.

Terry. I love the boogie woogie of you and Dr. K. I always take time to listen to the joy and happiness you two create ... but today something else happened. That piano in the Cathedral. Maybe I am wrong, or maybe it was the acoustics, but that piano made the most beautiful sound I have ever heard. But know this... irrespective of whether it was the piano, the acoustics or your talent, or a combination of all three ...my heart and soul thanks you.

But I have come to realize I shouldn't listen to you just before bed..(or in bed with my ear buds)....lol...I get to tapping my foot and wanting to dance which isn't the best way to settle down and fall asleep.
