I'm here after watching the One Love movie today. I have been so keen to see it since seeing the promo last year. It didn't disapoint. I think Kingsley has such a passion for his craft. You can tell by the way he describes, essentially getting out of the way of ego. He is so emotionally intelligent and that makes him so great in this particular role. Brilliant biopic. Well done!
This is one of the BEST interview above a movie 🎬 I have seen in a long time 🤠 My goodness, Kingsley truly put in so much time and HARD work into this biopic...Blessings to him and his family👏
❤❤❤Best interview. Great questions!map of the interview and his hard work for the preparation of the role is beautiful! Loved hearing process. Saw movie recently and it is remarkable!, I learned so much I didn't want , it to end. I'm the same age as Ziggy is now. in a way it was like watching it from there perspective as kids since I was that age too at that time.
As a deeply reverent Caribbean person, we and I love Bob. He is ours & I too was unsure of who the non Caribbean or non Jamaican actor was. But every interview Kingsley has given has shown him to be respectful and deeply dedicated to the craft and to Bob’s story. I saw the movie this week and enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I’d see it again.
Yes. The actors were exceptional 🎉
I agree!
I love Kingsley so much he did so good playing Bob ❤️💚and this interview is amazing .
I swear, after every interview I see of his, it makes me want to work harder at whatever im doing.
Yes!!!!👏🏾
wow im a new fan of kingsley after watching the film and his interviews have been great. what a dope guy
he's amazing
What an incredible interview... I was so moved by his performance in One Love that I haven't been able to stop watching any of his interviews... but this is by far my fav... the vulnerability.. the giving Regina her flowers as a Director and just an all around great person did it for me... like you all I could listen to him speak for another 12 hours... much love to you guys and the amazing Kingsley Ben-Adir. I will be following his journey...
his voice ♡
I loved him in Barbie. So hillarious.
I’m so excited to see him as Bob!!
clicked because someone told me that kingsley is a fellow trini but really enjoyed this interview! can’t wait to see the movie. love from trinidad 🇹🇹
thanks for checking it out!
❤️🇹🇹
He is an a sweet special man / great actor / nuff respect / One Love ❤
I knew this interview would be interesting because he is a very interesting man, but it was MAGICAL. Loves it. Didn't need to fall in love with him, but here I am...
he is so thoughtful and beautiful and with such depth.
This was really a beautiful interview and loved how they gave him space to speak. One for the books. Its really like a conversation actors should watch. Thanks guys.
Beautiful human indeed
He did a wonderful job in One Love. I love that movie now.
I liked this movie. Also I was trying to search for a lot of Kingsley interviews and I’m glad I stumbled upon this one. He’s so passionate. I mean wow. You can tell how much he gives into each role he is in. I wonder will he ever play Bob ever again…but he did a fantastic job.
thanks for checking us out!
first saw him in the OA he is a brillant actor im so happy hes been growing ever since super proud seeing him everywhere!!
He is one of the best actors there is that can transform into the real person he is playing. He looked like he could be Bob Marley’s son. He could be Obama’s son; he could be Malcolm X son..I enjoyed “ One Love”I highly recommend this movie.
Great interview he's so honest with his answers and full of emotion. I love it.
From watching this interview.. wow…the family picked the right man.. they made the right choice. Ziggy said Kingsley caught his attention and I can see why. Can’t wait to watch the film.
Kudos Kingsley! You really did Bob justice! You truly captured Bob's essence in the Bob Marley: One Love movie. You deserve an Oscar.
he should've kept the dreadlocks he suits them
Kingsley should get an Oscar nom for his portrayal of Bob Marley. Great movie
Nuff respect Kingsley. Played Bob to a T. cant wait to see you play my other idol : brother Malcom X
best interview of Ben really demoed his personality and depth.
Kingsley Ben-Adir, I think you have done your very best in promoting ' Bob Marley: One Love'. Also, I love your appreciation of Regina and Samuel L.
What a great interview! great questions! Wow, I am a big fan of Regina, so it was wonderful hearing about Kingsley's experience with her and it was so impactful you can tell.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I loved this interview, Kingsley is so intriguing it was great to learn more about him and I loved the questions 😁. Greeeaat!
I love bob marley movie and barbie movie
I love Kingsley ❤
Amazing interview!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing interview. Thank you.
Previously, I have never enjoyed non-Jamaicans (in particularly USAs) playing Jamaicans.
Not so much the lousy attempt at the accent but the inaccurate and inappropriate contexts in which phrases are used etc.
In Bob Marley, One Love, Kingsley not only got the accent almost spot-on but the part-of-speech and the contexts in which phrases are used are near to perfection.
In order words, sentences are said the way a Jamaican speaks and not how the director thinks they should be said.
IF the actor, made every effort to play the character to the best of his ability and successfully so, why complain.
As a Jamaican, I am impressed and pleased with Kingsley’s performance.
I Enjoyed the film, but rate Kingsley higher than the film. He is a true professional, works hard to be on top of his craft, and it should be commended. He does not deserve any form of prejudice against him.
Many more films can be made about Bob Marley, please get your Jamaicans to play Bob. That’s the positive thing to do, rather than mooooning. Can’t wait to see the first of such films.
he is literally so attractive
Listening this interview and watch da one love movie then.
Phenomenal innerview!!!
thank you - one love ✨❤🌍
Kingsley is abundantly handsome, but FAUX locks as Bob. Keeping in mind Bob was all about natural..I followed Bob and Wailers around the world to see many performances so IMO best scenes were REAL footage... Always MAX RESPECT Mr. Marley 🌹✨🌿
That was the one thing I noticed in the trailer for One Love (the faux locs - very obviously so…)and it discouraged me a bit from watching the movie. I’ve unfortunately had negative experiences watching non Jamaicans butcher the accent, the social cues, did I say the accent?
After listening to the critique of other Jamaicans, I feel enlightened and open to watching this movie.
I appreciate that I crossed paths with this interview.
ESFJ with developed Ne and Ti
Did he say wife?
Yes he did. I heard him. He said he was watching it with his wife in Paris.
He seems to be very private. He wears his wedding band and I went in search of picture of a wife and children a week ago - but nothing
@@jearl3054same here. No instagram either. I hope he is happy.
@054 they have a couple of pics of him and his wife eating pizza at a tennis match 🥲
op there goes my heart 💔
I think this story would have been better told as a ten-part Netflix series, each episode an hour long, rather than a standard two-hour movie. Bob's life is complex, and the movie portrayed him too much like an angel, glossing over his demons, including his abusive behavior toward his wife Rita and his infidelities with numerous women.
Yes 👍🏼
it’s still mind blowing to me, how they can cast someone who’s not Jamaican, and not even fucking American who can’t speak or understand a lick of Patois to portray such a very well known and historic Jamaican in a movie. i feel INSANELY insulted as a Jamaican myself
Cry harder. He did a great job. And the period of Bob's life portrayed in the movie was in the place he is from: London. So it is fitting and Divine Providence that the one portraying him came from the place where he created the best album: Exodus.
@@olubukonla7352 you’re not understanding what i’m saying. this is a movie that’s beyond the music. it’s a documentary about someone’s life. SOMEONE WHO IS JAMAICAN. AND IF YOU ARE NOT A DIRECT DESCENDANT OF OR CANNOT SPEAK AND/OR UNDERSTAND THE LANGUAGE OF JAMAICA THEN YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS PORTRAYING A JAMAICAN IN A MOVIE. point. blank. PERIODT. whether he did good or not is irrelevant
Bob’s own family thought he was the best option. If they aren’t insulted, then there is not point in being insulted yourself, respectfully
@@jeffbellotti4628 if that’s the case, then i’m surprised at their lack of self respect to have a British man portray a person he wouldn’t be able to understand if they had a conversation. but opinions are like belly buttons: we all have one, so imma stick to mine and be insulted
@@dannblair as if Bob was closer to you than to his family
Lets be honest, the film was extremely lazy and really unimpressive.
