I thinking over the year NiKo was more consistent than Zywoo, but I think Zywoo's stats go way higher on an average just because he is an awper (nothing wrong with that) and Niko literally had to get entry kills everytime to get G2 a chance to win rounds.
So purely impact wise Niko 2nd but I wouldn't complain if it was otherwise.
Ik for a fact that people will flame the shit out of HLTV irrespective of result

@@user-bw3hm8py7f ye, usually the star awpers (woxic, kennys, etc excluding zywoo and s1mple) they all have flaws, from woxic's aggression, to kenny's metnal to fallen's fall off, to device being a system awper to broky being too passive to draken 30 degree winder etc
sh1ro's only complaint is the fact that he is doesnt take initiative, but he can thats the difference, in clutches u can see his gamesense and ability to go aggro like 1v3 against vitality where he went up against 2 and then hit a beautiful quick scope on zywoo afterplant
he already proved in the first game that he is ready for 2022

@@sh1nenkai258 it's numerous amount of people who think either way: s1mple won 2019 when it was clearly ZywOo's win in 2020. Just chill tf out. And yeah, the STeFFe guy is correct, ZywOo isn't as popular as, e.g., device so top 3 this year isn't filled with the most popular players bcz of the frenchman.
@@metapersonalite Absolutely nobody thinks s1mple deserved it in 2019 and anyone who thinks that isn't paying attention. Zywoo was ahead of him in both stats and tournament wins. In 2020 though, you could argue for both sides. s1mple had better ratings while Zywoo had more accomplishments. Still think s1mple was robbed.

A lot of people argued that s1mple was playing phenomenally all the year while ZywOo did only at the end so s1mple shoulda be crowned. And that's not my point of view. Pretty similar situation with sh1ro and NiKo this year but much more unobvious.
At 2020 it was even righter to give ZywOo the title of the best player cause s1mple's stats were like 1-5% better but he had 4 less MVPs, titles and stuff lol.

but for all u sh1ro haters
sh1ro doesnt bait (well technically but), he plays in a system revolving around him trading kills from the back line, if his team dies and there is more than 3 left alive, he will save as its unclutchable ususally and it benefits them next round.
And for him not going aggressive, its because if he did go aggressive, they would have to change setups on different strats or make new ones, and he cant go aggro all ofa sudden cuase it changes the flow, direction and tempo of their style and play that round
so rather than calling him a baiter and hating on him, appriciate his clutching ability and awp skills, this man is legit a combo of device (hitting easy shots and positions well) and fucking kennys (he flicks so fast and accurate at hard shots and close range awping), this man can do it all other than being aggro but even then he can be aggro sometimes in clutche.

hltv doesn't consider you get a better rating by playing the AWP so riflers in the AWP meta will always have a harder time.
@@pacisking In my opinion, what weapon you play shouldn't effect your rating/ranking. Fact is that NiKo is more useful on a rifle than on an AWP. If he were to pick up the AWP, he still wouldn't be better than s1mple or ZywOo and instead probably be less impactful than he is now because a rifle is available more often (cheaper), he can get multikills in quick succession easier and he can push easier. It's really not like NiKo wouldn't be allowed to play the AWP, a player of his calibre (in terms of experience, gamesense, general mechanical skill) would most certainly get the AWP over someone like Amanek. However, we have to face it: NiKo on the AWP is not as good as NiKo on the rifle. Yes, it's very impressive he's that good on the rifle but that doesn't make it less impressive what s1mple or ZywOo can do with the AWP and it doesn't invalidate their stats.
I personally would bet that NiKo would not have carried G2 to the Major Grand Finals if he AWPed instead of rifled.

Zywoo Def above NiKo imo. NiKo really only popped off at the major while zywoo was good all year. The fact that we have 3 gambit players and yekindar in top 10 show that HLTV likes consistency throughout the year
Zywoo was poping off only second half of the year while Niko was good at both but at second he was way better cuz he doing his best to get a major and carrying his team so high
