    Surviving cardiac arrest in Nigeria!
Cardiac arrest is an acute emergency that requires timely and effective intervention to save life. Every second counts!
In Nigeria, the chance of getting that timely intervention is as thin as air.
What's the chance that a person who suffers a cardiac arrest will get timely and effective CPR on the spot before getting transferred to a hospital?
What's the chance that a defibrillator will be available for use?
And what about the means and ease of transportation to an emergency care centre?
What's the chance that the hospital one is rushed to will have the essential resources to help one survive?
It's absolutely insane how many lives have been lost because of poor emergency services in Nigeria.

Art of CPR can and should be known by everyone. This can be incorporated into school curriculum or NGOs teaching door to door. My husband fortunately performed it on an aunt of over 82years about two months ago. She is still alive today. My husband is not in the medical field.
