- The Philadelphia Boys Choir sings for the World Series when the Phillies beat the Royals back in 1980! This should be played before every first game if the Phillies are in the World Series like the Flyers do with Kate Smith... and yes, that's me they focused in on at the 1:00 mark...
The Vet's most glorious moment.
I was part of the Choir then! Can’t believe I hit those high notes!
Where were you in the group? Are you seen in the video?! The boys look very handsome with their helmet hair style of the time as well as the heavenly voice.
This should be a tradition at all Philadelphia championship events.
i sing with that chior
Did that flag fly over the land of the free and the home of the brave in 1980? I think so. Today, I am not so sure. Either way, this is a beautiful moment captured for posterity
Look how packed Veterans Stadium was.
thats not talent..that is a gift..a pure gift. good job representing philadelphia.
Nice clip! Hopefully this can stay up here for a while....Go Phillies!
the vet, now there's a stadium
~Hello ED GROVE!~
Hey Russ!
im in this choir now!!
A royals fan.
I wonder if a Philly Choir boy has a UA-cam account.
I'm in that choir
This is amazing! Im in the philadelphia girls choir which is currently only 4 years old, but the boys choir has been around for a long time! I should send this to our choir directors.
can you post Joe Garagiola saying before the final out. "The crowd will tell you what happens"
@mpteched
Cool fact, but what scares me is Joe Frazier singing the national game.
I think Joe Gargiola is one of the best NBC Brodcasters
can you post the final out of the 1980 world series please.
Wow. Amazing video. I miss the Vet.
